Bistro L'lilot was on the hitlist for some days, recently opened.
Tucked away behind few known places like Bart Tros and Aux Vieux Port at Eilandje, this young couple renovated an old coffeebar to a nice little restaurant (more than Bistro, that's sure!). And what a nice interior and wallside bar!
Not to crowded, but nice, and run by a former chef of Graanmarkt 13. The new concept : food sharing, prices around 10-20 per dish, best to chose 4-5 dishes from Chefs Menu.
We started with a Buratta and Grilled Vegetables : Buratta was to cold, and not to tasty. But next dish was an excellent Caropaccio of Veal, lightly smoked and with the perfect drips of olive oil. Of the best I ever had.
Then a well seasoned steak tartare followed, some perfectly seasoned Duck with Coal, some grilled Paksoi and some (slightly to flourly) Raviolli with well-stuffed mushrooms.
All this was joined by a well seasoned Chardonnay, fruitly and fresh, slightly cloudy. Wonderfull.
Ending with a well cooked Tarte Tatin and a coffee, a 70 EUR bil per person seems acceptable. To frequent. read more
