Nopa San Francisco Remember Cheers? You wanna go where everyone knows your name? Bistro Gambrinus is that kind of neighborhood place-small, cozy and Nael the owner is right there behind the bar...and waiting tables. Originally from Lebanon, his food reflects his heritage with American bar food thrown in. Food is made to order so expect to wait. Enjoyed the chicken piccata, best hummus, huge delicious burger, crispy brussel sprouts, chicken kebobs, super tasty fish n chips. Yum! Washed down with a lot of beer on tap! Drop in, watch a game and relax.

THIS IS THE SPOT! In need of a cold beer and some small bites after a long work day? Bistro Gambrinus. Are you looking for a place to catch up with an old pal over a tasty dinner and bottle of wine? Bistro Gambrinus. You and your buddies can't find a spot to watch the niners game? Bistro Gambrinus. Want to get some work done or start that book but can't be at home anymore? Bistro Gambrinus. Neal has created a space that is open and inviting and perfect anytime. Great selection of beer, wine, and food. Chill vibe, family-like service! Reasonable prices and hefty portions. I can't recommend this place enough.

Came here with a friend who was visiting around 9pm on a Thursday. there were a few people at the bar. the bartender was friendly and let us taste some beers. we got the liter of beer in the boot and it was great! will definitely be coming back here.

Came here the night of the Oregon St vs USC basketball game. It was my first time there and it was a busy night. We got two boot beers and I got the margarita pizza. It was pretty cold that night so some stranger asked to turn on the heater for us. We thanked him for his kindness because we were trying to turn it on ourselves. The kind man tells us he is the bar owner's cousin so he was just helping his cousin. We thought that was nice. Although it was busy, we got our food quick. $20 a boot beer- I would definitely say they're a hit. My first time ordering a boot beer and it was good. Tasted like a Stella to me, I like that. $15 pizza- I usually try to order a Margherita pizza wherever I go. It's simple, really good, and fast. I asked to add prosciutto ($2 charge) which was a really good price compared to other restaurants who has charged me more. This pizza was crispy, had lots of prosciutto, and was more than enough to feed 2 people. This night was busy. They have all the hot sugar dads there, even on a weekday. If you'd like to get a boot beer, with good food, and finding prosperous men, this is the place! Lol. We will be back as my friend is a regular here.

Went today @7:15 pm and the place was closed. No one answered the phones. No notes left on the doors saying they would be closed. Sad I drove here for 1 hr for dinner with my friend. Please update your proper hours.

Come for the great beer selection and stay for the crispy cheese on the pesto chicken sandwich. Also solid beet salad.

Great schnitzel and beer selection, including Czech dark beer. Friendly low key atmosphere. Best to Uner as parking can be difficult.

Ask the Community - Bistro Gambrinus

Do they have a full bar?

Bistro Gambrinus is a beer bar, we have beer and wine only.

They used to serve crawfish, no more?

Sadly no but everything I've eaten here has been incredible.

We're not in this part of SF often, and neither of us are sports fans by any means, so a mega sports bar might seem like an odd choice, but from the reviews and pics, the spot looked fun. So on our most recent weekend trip to SF to celebrate RB's birthday, we made it a point to visit. This place is HUGE. Located in Chase Center, Splash is a two-story sports bar with TV screens everywhere. I imagine it gets packed out on game days. If you're into sports, this is definitely your happy place. I tried the Splash cocktail, which was very tasty, potent, and not overly sweet. They have a very respectable selection of various beers as well. Food-wise we opted for a couple of their sushi rolls - yes, they have sushi! We tried the Splash Roll and the Chase Heat Roll, both tasty. The food menu is pretty extensive, especially for a sports bar, and includes pizzas, sandwiches, appetizers, sushi rolls, tacos, burgers, and salads. Something for everyone. Service was good, the gentlemen working the bar were nice. The space is clean and well-maintained, and reminds me of bars in Vegas. Fun spot, would return. Cheers!

Later, he refused to serve me anything else and even told staff not to serve me, claiming a "manager" instructed it (which wasn't true -- the actual manager was nice to me later on, and got me drinks). I tried to handle everything respectfully, but I left feeling anxious and mistreated. I've never been yelled at like that in a restaurant before. I'm leaving this review, but for a moment I seriously considered taking this further due to the embarrassment and harassment I experienced. The staff were also friendly, and since we got more people than expected, the owner even came in to help. Now the not-so-good. They had a surcharge for credit cards. I can understand this for a dive bar, but it seems like a full-service sports bar like this shouldn't have a credit card surcharge in 2025. The bigger issue was that the credit card surcharge was not disclosed either on the menu nor on the receipt. I actually had to ask the bartender about this; the subtotal and tax did not add up to the total, and the bartender explained that the missing amount was the credit card surcharge. This should be listed out to make it clear as well as disclosed in advance, as I might have opted to pay with cash. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato fries (included in the price). Unfortunately, the fries were not hot when I received them, which is definitely a miss when it comes to fries. The wrap itself was just ok - I feel like it could have used more dressing. Some other people at our watch party had to wait an hour for their food, though I will cut them some slack since the watch party brought more people than expected and they were short-staffed. They also gave some free food to people that had to wait a long time, which was nice. Overall, a good spot to watch a game, but not a fan of the hidden credit card surcharge and the food has potential but has room for improvement.

What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking.
