The lady that took my call was very friendly, I explained my issue and she was able to get me a tech that day. Two techs came out that were very nice and knowledgeable. I know the bare minimum when it comes to plumbing so I had to rely on Yelp to find someone... Half my house wouldn't drain (shower/toilet) and started leaking into my basement called at 11 am and was told they were busy but could give me a 2-4 window same day so I jumped on it and glad I did. Got a call a bit before 3 telling me Vern was going to be there in about 20 minutes and he was. Explained the situation and within 10 minutes not only did he have the shower drained but explained what had caused the leak (and yes I had questions but he was patient and willing to answer). Within an hour he and Dom had snaked the drain to remove any of the obstructions that had caused the issues in the first place. I would recommend this company easily and am going to keep the card on my fridge in case I have any other plumbing issues in the future. read more

Awesome. Unfortunately I can't remember the 2 young gentleman that services my tub on a Friday morning but they were great! I had a clogged tub for almost 2 weeks and I was done with the self remedies. So, based on the reviews of Bison I gave them a call and they did not disappoint. I called in the morning around 930am and was told I could have service over between noon and 1pm. The dispatcher called me back about 45 mins. later and said they finished a job early and could come on by that morning and 15 minutes later, they were there. The entire job took about 20 minutes and they left no mess behind. Very polite, professional and showed up early! I will absolutely use Bison for all my plumbing needs. Thanks fellas! read more

My wife and I reached out to Bison due to the floor drain in our basement backing up. We called them around 9am and they were able to squeeze us in same day. They gave us a window of 1-3pm and showed up just after 3pm which wasn't an issue for us. They called my wife before arriving letting us know when to expect them. They showed up and attempted to clean out the drain blockage but didn't have the required equipment in their truck. They took it upon themselves to go to their shop and grab sufficient equipment to properly perform the job at hand. Once they returned they were able to rid the drain of the tree roots and other items causing the blockage. They took the time to show us the camera view of the pipes and explain to is the process what they did. They also provided additional knowledge and tips for maintaining the drains. Once done the gentlemen that helped us out even provided some additional info regarding long-term work that we could have done to shore up the plumbing. I'd recommend Bison plumbing as they were extremely knowledgable and kind. There were a few bumps with them showing up 20 minutes after the 1-3pm window and not having the sufficient equipment but they were able to remedy the issue and at an affordable price! We wanted to replace our shower head. The existing fixture was attached to a ball joint pipe and to replace the head, the entire pipe coming out of the wall had to be replaced. Sounds easy, right? No! The previous owners over-threaded the pipe into the wall where it could not be seen. My father owns his own heating and cooling business and he's experienced in piping and no task is ever impossible for him, except this one. We tried everything to take that part off with no end. It was obvious we needed an experienced plumber so I went on Yelp and searched for some in my area. Bison had a very high rating and raving reviews so I decided to give them a call. The representative that answered my call gathered some information, was able to give me a ball park estimate so I had an idea of what to expect and was able to send someone out the next day. I did not bother calling around as Bison met my expectations of a professional company. I was given a 2 hour time frame and received a call when they were on the way. Andrew arrived right at the start of that window. He was very knowledgable and he was giving us options of what can be done as he couldn't get the pipe off either. He spent about an hour trying to remove that pipe so we wouldn't have to spend a lot more opening the walls and he finally was able to get it! Like I said, if my dad couldn't do it then I was pretty sure no one could! I was super impressed and so thankful for all of his help! We will be remodeling our bathroom in the future and we will definitely be giving them a call when we are ready! Trust them! read more

I never leave reviews on Yelp but I wanted to let people know about my great experience with Bison. My sewer line was backing up and they came out the same day I called. They tried snaking the line but were unable to get all the way through it. They ended up having to use the hydro jet and now the pipe is all clear. They allowed me to watch and I could see all the roots they cleared out with the scope they had in the pipe. They did a great job. Not only were all the people I dealt with very nice and knowledgeable the price they charged me was very reasonable. I will be calling them back for future maintenance on my sewer line. I had a problem with my bathroom sink, a pipe had to be replaced and it had to be snaked. I took a chance on using Bison Plumbing based on the yelp reviews. I called them at 4:30pm on Tues. and left my information with the woman at the office. She was friendly and she took down details of the plumbing problem. My call was returned within 30 mins. by Vern. Because it wasn't an emergency and it was the end of the day he came the next morning, but he would've come by that evening if I had asked. I had read in previous reviews that Vern was great, and I will now say the same. He is very friendly, efficient and will answer all your questions. I also expect plumbing work to be expensive. He was here about 50 mins. and the total came to $225, but again I had to get parts/plumbing replaced and then he snaked out the pipes for good measure. I was expecting to pay around $300, so I didn't complain. I would recommend Bison Plumbing for sure and will use them again if needed. read more

I had a clogged tub drain. I also had a toilet that would not stop running. I had bought the guts and new valve for the toilet but couldn't do the work myself. I called Bison on Wednesday they were here Thursday. Ken and his help were great. Very polite and got the work done quickly. I thought the cost was very reasonable. I called Bison Plumbing to a rental property to snake out the sewer pipe in the basement. A few days later I got a bill for twice as much as I was quoted. When I asked about it I was told they also cleaned the pipe by the laundry tub which was clogged up. The tenant did not know it was clogged up, Bison's plumber told them it was. I gave them the benefit of doubt and paid the bill. A few days later there was a problem at a different house that required a plumber. I called Bison again and asked them to snake out the pipes there and I made it clear at this point that they need to call me before they do any additional work. Vern went there reasonably fast and called me to say this house has no clean out. He said this is common in older houses, he can go through a vent on the roof which would cost around$300 and is rarely effective. He would recommend that I have them dig up the pipes and add a clean out, which will cost around $1600.00. I told him I will have to think about that. The next morning I got a call from Vern to see if I'm ready to have the work done. I told him that I think there has to be a different way, he again told me going through the roof is not effective and the clean out in the crawlspace is not accessible. Hmmmmm he told me the day before there is no clean out. I asked why it's not accessible and his response was that the crawlspace is filled with feces!! "it's really bad!!" he said. Obviously this is an issue that needs to be addressed so I told him that I will have somebody look into that. I called a handyman to look at the crawlspace and see how bad it is and where that would be coming from. The handyman called me back and suggested I find an honest plumber. The only thing in the crawlspace was the clean out - in plain sight, and a few spiderwebs. I called a different plumber and the problems was taken care off in a few hours. Guess Vern does not like crawlspaces and has no problem having you spend $1600 to avoid him having to deal with one. Needless to say, I will never call them again. read more

I had called and spoke with Connie about what I needed done. She was delightful and set up the quote appt. Vern and another gentleman (sorry didn't get his name) came to give me the quote and I had a laundry list of items that needed fixing. I was nervous about getting the quote because of the costs that I had paid with other local plumbers for simple fixes. I was extremely happy about the quote and couldn't wait to set up an appt to have everything done. My husband said that Andrew and the another gentlemen (sorry I didn't get his name) were very professional and he was very pleased with their work. I will be calling Bison Plumbing for my maintenance work going forward. Oh, one of the items I had them fix was the washers on my kitchen sink because faucet had a drip. They fixed the drip but they did more than that...they noticed the one handle on my faucets was installed wrong and they fixed it and it was not on my list of items that I wanted fixed, they were awesome. When our sewer pipes backed up and flooded our basement, it took this company three seperate times to get the job done correctly. They supposedly fixed the issue the first time by digging up one of the pipes in the basement, and our basement flooded a 2nd time within a week. They then stated they needed to dig up more pipe in the basement. After this issue got fixed, and them telling us our problems would be over because they checked all other pipes in the basement and they were all running well, our basement flooded for a 3rd time about two weeks later. The worker who came the next day stated his co workers in fact did not check the remaining pipes two weeks prior, and those were clogged as well, and should have been noticed if they had done their job correctly. At no time was Bison apologitic to the fact that they had inconvenienced us and had my personal item ruined on two seperate occasions because they failed to get the job done correctly the first time. They left our basement incredibly dirty, leaving mud on the ceiling and walls, and personal water bottles and food wrappers from their workers scattered throughout my basement. They also did not hook my dryer back up correctly. I would never trust or recommend this company to anyone. read more
