Did not have a good dining experience today @ Biscuits. I ordered the roasted veggie wrap and it was awful. It was supposed to have about 4 or 5 different veggies inside, but what I got was lettuce, a couple pieces of onion, and some extremely undercooked "sweet potatoes" that were hard as rocks. I really think they they gave me leftover sweet potato fries that didn't make it into the fryer that day. When the food arrived It was about 30 minutes before they closed so I really think the staff was just trying to get out of there. The wait staff started vacuuming and bringing out checks while people were still eating (rude!). Wouldn't return, I like restaurants where the kitchen staff takes pride in the food. read more

We came here twice while at Martha's Vineyard and both times it was outstanding. We were sat quickly, even though they only have about 10 tables (all were full and there was a line). The service was fast and the food was great. I had the Early Bird breakfast, cooked perfectly. The next day I had the Cod Cake Benedict, also awesome. The home fries are not like any I have had before, ever. I can't even explain them. Just try them (and then go for a long walk). Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. read more

Great food here! I recommend never ordering take out. This was the 3rd time they have messed up my take out order. We drove across island to pick it up and all they ever say is can you come back and we'll make it for you. If you expect your entire order then check your bags first. Like I said great food, but I would eat there and not get take out as they don't know what is going on inside the operation. I save money by not driving back to pick up the missing item. Surprisingly solid homemade cod cakes, 'rock'-looking home fries that nonetheless are pretty crispy and good, and a nice biscuit on the side = a tasty, cheapish breakfast for not a long wait (they seem to accommodate groups easily and quickly). Agreed though that their iced coffee could use work, and I think next time I'll try the more Southern-style fare as that seems to be what people rave about. read more

Quaint little hole-in-the-wall just off the docks in Oak Bluffs. My mother and I both got the biscuit breakfast sandwich with a side of home-fries. We were both very happy with our meals and our service. I would definitely go back next time I visit MV. read more

We came here looking for brunch after a really fun Saturday night. The service was great and the waitress could not have been better. I went for the burger and it was decent. I can't tell you much about the service (that's why it's 3 stars) but I can tell you about the food. My daughter and I came for breakfast in the middle of the week of our family vacation and as the other reviews said - the line is almost curved around the block! So we got take out an we weren't disappointed. The chicken and biscuits was outrageously good! I do believe if I put that sausage gravy on a wood plank it would be editable. We had to wait longer than the 15 minutes that we were told and then once in there the staff was running around a bit to keep up which was a times seen by all the customers, however its about the food and the food was great. Fantastic brunch place in downtown Oak Bluffs!! We ordered the Biscuit Benedict and the Norman omelet. The Benedict was one of the best I've ever had (and I love trying Benedicts everywhere I go!) and came with bacon instead of ham, a biscuit instead of an English muffin, and a side of roast potatoes. The omelet chock-full of tasty ingredients and came with the same delicious potato side. We were really impressed, and it's a great value for a filling meal. We would definitely come back! read more

My wife and I have been going to Biscuits for a few years (we vacation here every year) and think that it ranks in the top 4 places to get breakfast on the island. The menu is simple and service is fast. My wife loves the biscuits and gravy, and I get the eggs and sausage. Get there early or prepare to wait in that the dinning area is small. read more

I love Biscuits. Chris the owner is super sweet and makes sure to say hi to almost everyone that walks in the door. The place only has 14 tables so large groups can be hard to accommodate. Also if you arrive after 9AM be prepared to wait though the turnaround time is rather quick. Be sure to try their banana stuffed french toast, it's super yummy! Also it's only open during the summer season so winter visitors will have to go to Linda Jean's or Mocha Mott's. read more

I cannot rate this restaurant. After waiting for nearly 2 hours, my group was yelled at by the manger because we inquired about when we would be seated. We were initially told that the wait would be no more than 45 minutes. I told the group that the food was okay last year when we had breakfast after the Sullivan 5K Run/Walk and wanted to do the same this year. Because the manager's behavior is so unpredictable, don't bother. There is a restaurant on circuit avenue, The Slice of Life, that knows how to serve and feed guests. The manager and staff are the rudest people in the restaurant business I've come across. We were told we would have a 45 minute or less wait when we arrived. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we still did not have a seat. The manager yells at us because we kept seeing people go in who arrived after us and we wanted to know what was going on! He was nasty to all of us! He told us not to come in and ask anymore. Do not waste your time at this place! This was my second visit this week and the first was not all that great. During a recent visit to Martha's Vineyard, we decided to try this place for lunch. It was myself and my 18 year old daughter and her friend. We were seated very quickly and the hostess asked us what we wanted to drink. Well,l it being only lunch, we decided to stick w/water. When the hostess brought us our water, she gave us the menu's and instantly asked what we wanted to order. I told her we needed just a few minutes to look over the menu(because we had just received them). The hostess didn't say anything but annoyingly walked away. About 2 minutes later, our waiter came over and in a very demanding tone wanted to know if we were ""finally" ready to order (this was only about 2 minutes later after the hostess had stormed away). Thankfully, we had made up our minds, otherwise I felt like we would have been asked to leave immediately. Our food arrived fairly quickly and we proceeded to eat and chat about the afternoon we had planned. After only 10 minutes, our waiter comes back to our table and slaps the bill down hard enough to shake the table and said, "Not trying to rush you but I'll take this whenever your ready." I suppose if they had other customers waiting to be seated, I could somewhat understand but that wasn't the case, in fact, the restaurant was probably only have full of customers. Again, the food was very good but the general hostility displayed by the staff will keep me from recommending this place to anyone and I certainly will bypass this place next time I'm on the Island. read more

Went to the restaurant for breakfast, I ordered chicken and biscuits ("fried chicken strips with biscuits and sausage gravy"), expecting for a homemade fried chicken strips as the menu says, I get my dish and the chicken seems like it was from a frozen section at the grocery. Very salty, not much other flavor. We ask the waitress if the chicken was made there and she said no, I was pretty grossed out at that point. Basically we were served a frozen chicken tender, this dish was very false advertised. If your looking for any of the dishes that include fried chicken such as the fried chicken and waffles, do not expect homemade, authentic fried chicken, the chicken is something you would buy in the freezer section at your local market.
