I am totally fed up with this place!! It's bad enough that they returned my dog to me SOILED WITH ANOTHER DOG'S URINE the last time I was there. I was so shocked in all my years of owning a dog I have NEVER had a groomer return my dog to me COVERED IN PISS. Very unprofessional on their part and quite humiliating for my little dog!! But I figured accidents happen so 3 weeks ago I called them to make an appointment and left a message on the machine AS USUAL, because no one ever answers the phone there, and still no one has returned my call. So I am MORE THAN HAPPY to take my business elsewhere and I highly recommend that you do as well. Forget about Biscuits and Bows!!!! read more

We got two rescue dogs 11 months ago and my husband and I have been looking for a doggie daycare. Our male dog has smooth surface issues and after a couple of 1/2 days at Biscuits and Bows he forgot all about walking on the tile floor. I have been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. My Shih Tzu loves it there. She comes out perfect every time. She is always done on time. She also gets to play with the other dogs. Here groomer Jan is fantastic. She has never had a razor nick from her. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! been taking my pooch here for years now and have 0 regrets. It is a little expensive for a pet grooming service but well worth your money. Love love love this place! We used to take our family dog here when we were growing up & it was the most logical choice when I adopted a puppy later in life & moved back to the area. They are always so welcoming to me & my pup & know him by name when we come in the door. He is always so happy to go get groomed & just as happy AND a whole lot cleaner & nails clipped when he walks out the door! We just brought our 15-year-old beagle here to have her nails clipped. It was long overdue and we were worried because of her age. Since she's had surgery for back issues, we were afraid to pick her up and carry her to the back room for this procedure. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They came directly to the reception area and quickly and efficiently clipped Lucy's long nails. They were thoughtful, caring, and absolutely outstanding. I am posting this review 6 years after this incident occurred with our dog at biscuit and bows. Why? Because yelp wasn't a thing back then (or at least not to my knowledge) or believe me I would have! We used to take our dog there frequently, but after they literally butchered our dogs paw, never again. When we picked her up all seemed fine-she got one of those little signs that said she was a "star student". We brought her home and when she jumped out of the back seat, blood was everywhere. I mean it looked like a murder scene back there. The entire grey seat was stained red. I frantically got my parents and they were appalled. We inspected our dog head to toe and couldn't figure out where she was bleeding until she started limping. That's when we noticed they trimmed her nails so short they were open flesh wounds. We called the vet and we got her in an emergency appointment. They had to treat and wrap up her paw. My dad called and yelled at the groomer who claimed they did nothing wrong and that "this sometimes happens." The woman we spoke with was SO rude and unprofessional. Based on some of the yelp reviews seems like this same woman still works there, which is very unfortunate. They tried to pin it back on us like it was our fault. We have a golden retriever and they told us she was aggressive and bit the groomer. HA interesting because A. It is not in a Goldens nature to bite unless feeling threatened B. IF she did bite the groomer it's because she was reacting to the pain of her paw being MUTILATED by a careless person... again IF our dog actually nipped her can you blame her?! And C. It was interesting because our dog walked out of there with this star student award thing. So if our dog bit you why wouldn't you tell us when we picked her up and why would you give us that stupid "star student Award?". When we asked more questions about what happened we got even worse answers. They told us they were aware they clipped our dogs nails too short and she started bleeding at the groomers and they put something on it to clot the blood. So again WHY wouldn't they tell us this when we picked up our dog? They were probably hoping we wouldn't notice which is being NEGLECTFUL. The second our dogs paw hit the pavement it re opened the wound. I wish I could stop the review here but it gets worse. They refused to cover the poor grooming service because trimming her nails too short apparently wasn't their fault. And they refused to pay our vet bill as well. Again if yelp was around back then I would have wrote this years ago to make the public aware of how they mistreat dogs. If you care about your dog find another groomer. These people are liars who neglect dogs and don't take ownership or responsibility for their wrong doing. read more

There is nothing wrong with biscuit and bows but there is nothing extraordinary. I had a very crazy dog. He loved it. He was always so excited to go in our car because he knew it usually meant bathing time. When we arrived the owner and the staffs are really nice. They take really good care of our dogs. read more

After grooming. My dog started having ear infection. I have called them , but that lady is so rude.

We began taking our Airedale pup here a couple of months ago. We have since taken him 20+ times. He loves it! He can't wait to get in there and play with his buddies. We have also since had the good folks at B&B groom him. They did a great job. It's often hard to find a good Airedale groomer. They knock'd it out of the park. The people are the best part of B&B, they are dog lovers and it shows. I strongly recommend taking your pooch to Biscuits and Bows and having them play with the other pooches. read more

I used to take my shih tzu here until he came home with not one but 2 razor nicks. I might have been ok with it if they had confessed to it, but I had to find the nicks and dried blood on my own. Front desk staff very unfriendly too. Protect your dogs...not here! read more

We have been bringing our lab here since he was a puppy and he is almost 13 now. It started out just as grooming but quickly became a once a week visit so that he could play with other dogs for the day. Then they became our dog sitters as well. Karen and Michelle treat our dog like he is one of their own. They love him and is a part of their family. If they couldn't watch him for us, many of the other groomers would and all of them would take him home to their house each night and love him. SO MUCH BETTER than boarding them in a cold concrete cage like some facilities do. We can't thank Biscuits and Bows enough for their kindness and love towards our dog. They are the BEST! read more

They have great deals on chops and prime rib. My only complaint is that they don't have a legitimate freezer storage system. I would suggest getting your meat while its still fresh! Good quality Grade A "beef." read more

Just moved to Palatine and have been looking for a groomer for my lab/pit. My needs are pretty limited as I just get her nails clipped and drummled. I have been surprising unsuccessful in finding someone I trust until now. My husband took her in, and said the staff was very friendly and clearly loved animals. They made my dog feel comfortable (as she gets pretty anxious) and one staff member pet my dog while the other cut her nails. I also really like the fact that you can watch your dog get groomed as I have learned from past experience I would never take her somewhere I could not watch what they do. We have been taking our dogs here for over 12 years. Great customer service and they care about our dogs even if we don't get them groomed as often as we should. Love the report cards too! The one time we were unhappy with the grooming they were quick to give us a credit for our next visit. We've never had another issue. Now that our Westie is a senior with health concerns they have a "special needs" day where he can get a little extra attention. read more

I had been bringing my dog here for years, but this last time they didn't listen, didn't groom her correctly, when I called to have her brought back in I was told to call early in the morning at 730 a.m. and they would fit her in, woke up early to call, they told me they were booked and couldn't take her. Had they cut her correctly instead of just shampooing and trimming her nails, I wouldn't have to bring her back. They were not accomodating at all, I had been going here for 5 years, and noticed they were slipping now after reading all the negative reviews on this website I know why. THE WORST PLACE EVER! My dog was emotionally scared after going there for both daycare and grooming. The dogs have no outdoor area to potty so they all go in the facility. My dog was locked up underfoot of the groomers and to this day is terrified of being stepped on when you walk near him. My dog was groomed every 4 weeks and they butchered him saying that he was matted and needed his face shaved. They are not animal lovers; they are only in it for the money. If you love your pet, don't go there. BEWARE! read more

I took my Westie to be groomed at Biscuits and Bows. I called the day before for my appointment and they told me to come in tomorrow. When I went the next day, they didn't have my appointment and they told me it was for the next day. I explained that I called the day before and they said to come today. They took my dog anyways, but didn't seem to be unhappy. It was the worst haircut my dog has ever received. It was so uneven. I could have done a better job. My dog is a very mellow dog, so I know it wasn't because she was bad and they gave her an excellent report card. A few days after her hair cut she would not step on her hind leg. I took her to the vet and he said she had an infection in her upper leg and that she probably was knicked with the scissors when she got her hair cut. That was the most I ever bad for a bad hair cut, the vet bill, x -rays, and antibiotic. DON'T GO THEIR IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET read more

This place is great. I have been bringing my Morkie here for about a year now and I'm always pleased with the cut. Prior to this I brought my dog somewhere else ( I don't want to bash any names because they really were nice people) and every time they shaved him. Here I say I want a puppy cut with only half cut off and that's what I get. They really do love what they do and love animals. The people are always friendly and give a doggie report card when you leave to let you know your dogs behavior and if he needs any additional grooming at home. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because EVERY TIME I bring him here he comes home sick, this time with an upper respiratory infection. Now I know that it's not their fault, but I really wish they would schedule a specific time to groom rather than a 4 hour time slot to minimize the interaction my dog's getting with other dogs. I know that sounds kind of anti social but around other dogs he kind of is. I would rather him get his hair cut at a specific time and then pick him up at a specific time. Otherwise, Great! read more
