As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted by the amazing smell of fresh bread and baked goods. Everywhere you look there's another display filled with pies, cookies, donuts, pastries, and homemade breads. If you have a sweet tooth, good luck leaving with just one thing!
I couldn't resist picking up two of their huge fry pies along with a peanut butter Long John, and they were every bit as good as they looked. The fry pies were packed with filling and had a perfectly flaky crust, while the peanut butter Long John was loaded with creamy peanut butter filling and was incredibly fresh.
My wife couldn't stop talking about their cinnamon twist. She said it was one of the best she's ever had--soft, buttery, perfectly sweet, and full of cinnamon flavor. I have a feeling we'll be making a special trip back just so she can get another one!
The staff was friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and there were plenty of Amish-made jams, noodles, candies, cheeses, and other local products to browse while we were there.
