Around Amish country, there are plenty of spots for donuts, plenty of competition. Even though this spot is more modern leaning than it's rustic competitors, I'd say it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Stopped in to the Sugarcreek location while on a day trip. It was a cute little bakery/cafe recommended by the locals we were staying with, and I was so glad we swung by. In all donut situations, I usually opt for the apple fritter (because when they're done right, they're sooooo good). As you can likely tell from the number of stars, this fritter hit all the right marks. It wasn't overly sweet or greasy and had big apple pieces! Plus it was a sizable dessert for a dollar and change. Definitely a donut to remember! Others in my group loved the cinnamon twist and the glazed yeast donuts. Just by looking in the bakery case, I could assume that all of the freshly baked options would be a home run, even given the abundant local competition. A must try if you're in the area and looking for something sweet.

Best explanation yet: "Their donuts are a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10!" As others have pointed out, they cover many of their offerings in a glaze and then in some case still add icing. Decadent fails to covey the serious good taste we are talking about here. If you actually want and expect a creme stick full of cream [several stuffings to choose from], this is the place. Now two locations in Tuscarawas County. How cool is that?!

So many cream filled goodies

Made our first visit on a Saturday around noon. While many varieties were sold out, there were still some fabulous options in the case. We tried: maple with Bavarian filling, maple with traditional cream filling, chocolate with cream filling, Buckeye (round with peanut butter cream and fudge drizzle), Boston cream, and a basic vanilla cake donut. All were amazing - not too dense, plenty of filling. I loved the vanilla cake because it was the right texture and has a solid flavor. All those donuts were $8. Cant wait for your next location that will be closer to our home!

Good place to grab a donut and a hot coffee. Get there early as the sell out fast or the selection get limited.

Best Donuts ever. They're always my go to. So much variety but you've got to get there earlier because they sell out really quick.

Yes. Good doughnuts…read moredon't need long detailed reviews. So, this one will be short. Located close to the location of a large meeting I was part of, I was easily able to pick up 2 dozen donuts on the morning of my meeting. The extremely nice woman behind the counter hooked me up with two boxes of assorted heaven. As an avid donut eater and a bit of a connoisseur of mans most delightful creation, DDandC nailed it. Fresh, good ingredients and a lot to choose from. The two dozen doughnuts that I brought in to my meeting were essentially demolished. As I was not local, the people who were local were extremely interested in knowing where I picked them up and I happily told them. A few had even mentioned being there before and some even planning to go. would I go back? 100%. Whenever possible, I bring a box or two of doughnuts to customers. When I do, I make it count and the people notice. When they see that I've actually searched out for a really good local doughnut shop, they appreciate that and take note. I'm not bringing in your fast-food donut places garbage "donuts" either. I'd rather bring nothing at all if I can't get the goods. And I will travel early in the morning, just to get high quality doughnuts. Got get some of these right now!

I feel like there is something for everyone here! My husband thought the Dutch apple pie was out of this world. I thought it was different because it was chopped oats. We were not a huge fan of the chocolate chip cookies, the texture kinda got me, and the chocolate chips were an interesting flavor. My mom thought the pecan tarts were so yummy. I could literally taste how fresh and homemade that dough was, I thought it was very good as well, but probably would try something else instead next time. The cinnamon roll was interesting because I thought it was a lot more Joey than we used to and it had an icing on top. I actually really liked it. I am not someone that likes the super glazed sweet stuff so this was the right amount for me. My husband and I were not huge fans of the Fry pies. They were glazed, which is a personal preference. But the filling was just too much for me, I like more writing than filling, especially in the middle. It was a little overwhelming. I also felt like they were filled with more of the canned stuff rather than fresh bc of the consistency. The fresh sourdough bread was out of this world. I'd definitely recommend getting a bread loaf!!!

We have tried many baked goods in the area and I have to say the glazed donuts were one of the best I have had. So light, pillowy and full of flavor. There is a shop right in the building and there is also a shop right outside of the restaurant if you need to kill time. Service was friendly but a bit scattered. There were times during my meal that my water was refilled without asking, but then later in the meal we had to hunt our server down for a water refill and for our check. The breakfast buffet has a nice variety of options. Bacon, two types of sausage, scrambled eggs, an egg scramble with peppers and onions, Amish cornmeal mush (it was served in fried cubes similar to hash brown consistency, biscuits and gravy and several dessert options. The apple crisp was warm and delicious. there was a frozen pineapple and banana desert that had too much banana flavor for my taste, but mu husband really enjoyed it. They also had fresh fruit and individual yogurts. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and food. It is a perfect place for a tasty meal of comfort food. Dessert and drinks aren't included and that is kind of a big deal to me. They did have some hoho cake that tasted like liquor included on the buffet. It was a very very small buffet. I was able to get everything that I wanted on one plate so it really wasn't worth $20 for one plate. The ham was really good, but that was about it. Our waitress was very nice and we never had to wait for anything. The restaurant is dimly lit and has a nice homey feeling to it.

Buckeye Bakery - The Sweetest Shark Attack in Mansfield…read more Wandered into Buckeye Bakery on a mission for donuts... and walked out like a sugary Santa Claus. I picked up a dozen-mix of joy: Long Johns, glazed classics, cinnamon rolls (the kind that whisper "just like Mom used to make"), and pecan rolls that should come with a warning label: "May cause spontaneous joy." Dropped them off with friends and boom--gone in two days, like a Netflix binge with frosting. High praise was given. Teeth were thanked. Waistbands were stretched. But I didn't stop there. Oh no. I went full dessert diplomat and made a fast-follow with peanut butter cookies and some shark cookies, because hey--it's Shark Week, and nothing says "celebrating apex predators" like chomping into one made of sugar and love. Verdict: Donuts: Fluffy, fresh, and clearly baked by folks who take their carbs seriously. Cookies: Delicious and festive--like eating a holiday. Vibe: Old-school bakery charm with new-school treat game. Next time I'm in Mansfield, I'm diving back in. Sharks beware. I bite back.

I showed up, told the wonderful women behind the counter that I'm not from here (TX here on a 6 month job), that I have zero idea what anything is in their display case because nothing in Dallas looks this good and just pick me 6 of the best things they have. 3 of the 6 never made it back to my jobsite that's 10 minutes away. The raspberry Danish, the deep fried glazed ball of heaven and the chop suey never stood a chance in the truck with me. When I did make it back, my local subcontractor looked at the box, KNEW I went to Buckeye Bakery and said "You did good". Overall, they're about to make me gain 20 pounds and lose all my money. Thanks, I guess.
