NOT WORTH EVEN ! STAR. Ordered 2 trays of Biriyani (Chx & Mutton) yesterday for lunch. Noticed the yoghurt source (Raitha) had gone bad and on top of that found a long hair in the chicken biriyani. Called the restaurant immediately to let them know about the issue and the guy at the counter took the message and said the owner will call back. Since I didn't hear from them I called them back today and it was probably the owner who answered me and I explained the whole ordeal. i mentioned my children have food poisoning and to my surprise he just told me that he "don't even believe 10%" of what I told him. Not even an apology and was rude and told me to complain to whomever I want. In fact my intention was to help them by pointing out their mistake so that they could improve their customer service, instead he lost a customer who drove to his restaurant from 25 miles away. read more

I can't recommend this place. The gentleman told me that their best dish was chicken biryani. So, I ordered that and the vegetable biryani along with mutter paneer (peas & cheese curry) and chana masala (chick pea curry). The chicken in the chicken biryani was almost all bones. I was able to scrape a few bits of chicken. But, this dish is almost all rice. I got part of a leg and part of a wing, both with hardly any meat. The vegetable biryani had three pieces of undercooked potato and a few pieces from a frozen veggie mix of carrot, corn and green beans. Again, the entire dish was almost all rice. They admittedly have a weak menu for vegetarians. The chana masala was ok. But, the mutter paneer was very weak. I paid almost $38 for those four dishes. Definitely no value for the money. This place has a lot of room for improvement. I realize that many companies are struggling because of the pandemic. But, there's just no excuse for these blunders. read more

Have ordered party trays multiple times in the past 4-5months I've known this place after a colleague suggested it to me and tray which easily serves 6-8 people is only $24.99 which is amazing without compromising on the taste or quality. The food was flavorful but we had a difficult time calling in and ordering in person. The person up front messed up our order and left a few things out. It was a bit of chaos. The restaurant was conveniently located, but needed a good scrub down. We took the food to go because it took 40 minutes to get the food. The chicken was super pink. This was an interesting looking restaurant near a stop I made, so I thought I'd try it. The place is basic, though does sport a chandelier in the middle of the restaurant. You order at a counter, and the food is brought to your table. The menu is fairly broad, with a good variety of both meat and vegetarian dishes. Beverages are basic soda from a cooler and several tea or Lassi options. I just took a can from the cooler, so can't speak to their other beverages. For my meal I chose the Chicken Quorma and a side of Tandoori Naan. The dish was a good portion, and came out hot. The flavors were excellent, with a rich aromatic spice, and chicken prepared with the bones in. Some places will take the bones out for us Europeans, but the food has a better flavor this way. The Naan was excellent and fresh. Still almost too hot, which is the best way to have it. Service was a little detached (lose one star, here) and slow. While trying to place my order, the guy was taking other phone calls - some for phone orders, but others seemed to be just social. Overall, a great restaurant to come for some authentic Hyderabadi Indian food. I'll be back, possibly placing my order ahead of time. read more

Don't expect some fancy shamancy dine in restaurant. There is a random fancy chandelier that hangs in the middle of the room. I said wow. Then as i followed the chandelier up... for some reason the rod was wrapped with foil.?.?.? Why in the world is there foil there wrapped so nicely. Must be a special indian engineering invention. Anyways... I catered one pan of chicken 65 from here for $120 which served about 25 people easily with some leftovers. And the chicken 65 was delicious, however there are some restaurants on Devon that serve better. Don't get me wrong here, the chicken 65 was still very satisfying. The reason I'm subtracting stars is because of my experience when we dined in. We ordered the $35 "mutton biryani + chicken 65 + raita + salaan" which serves four (this is exactly how they advertise it). We were very excited when we saw this and ordered it. When the waiter brought out how are food, the chicken 65 and was in a small tiny bowl that wasn't even enough for one person (and the same goes for the salan). When we commented on the portion size of the chicken 65, the waiter said it was "only complementary". SO.... they need to fix their menu and clarify that you're paying $35 for a plate of biryani with a small side of the other stuff. Also our biryani barely had any meat. This was a complete rip off and a waste of $35. Will not recommend this menu option to anyone. The chicken biryani and beef samosas here are delicious! Ive been here on two separate occasions (lunch & dinner) and Ive pledged not to go back anymore. On both occasions service was poor and food was mediocre at best. On my first visit I had to call into the kitchen for someone to come outside and take my order after seating myself and waiting for at least ten minutes ( I didnt mind this since i was exploring the menu anyhow but no one should have to wait that long after seating themselves at any restaurant). Also If you serve a plate full of biryani with 1 oz of yogurt sauce theres an issue there. Your not going to go out of business by giving extra yogurt sauce. If you do you need to revisit your business plan! First time was during lunch hours when there was only myself and one other person to be served. I waited twenty minutes for my food and when it comes, there's no sauce. Waited another 5 minutes for my 1 oz of yogurt sauce (im not exaggerating this). Finished my lunch and paid $13 for my plate of biryani and gagged up another 20% for tip out of sheer courtesy. Second time I went with a few friends for a quick dinner and asked for extra meat on my entree. Waiter comes back with 2 pieces of lamb and yes 1 oz of yogurt sauce! Maybe one should ask for no meat next time... I hate giving bad reviews and very seldom do i ever.... and anyone that thinks the biryani here is good doesnt know authentic Hyderabadi Biryani. Either that or my mother has spoiled my culinary palette. Anyhow thats a wrap and theyve lost my business going forth. There are better options in this area IMO. The $6.99 Kebab special is a value proposition. It comes with naan or biryani rice and was comparable in quality, IMHO to India Harvest. When Dhruv heard this was my first time there, he gave me some lamb biryani on a complimentary basis. He also refused to take any tip, although I planned on giving like a 35-40% tip after tax. We ended up having a marvelous conversation, talking about the meaning of life (literally!), the importance of family, hard work, and delayed gratification. My family and I went there for some Chicken Shawarma and Haleem. I usually never go here with high expectations but the inner desi wanted me to go as I was craving desi food. The chicken shawarma came out in 3 separte portions: 1. The naan by itself (large and bland also very dry) 2. The rice (simply boiled with salt no flavor only red coloring, also bland) 3. The chicken shawarma chicken (absolutely no taste, no flavor, no spice, no nothing) tbh it was like turmeric and salt was the marination and they boiled it. Not only bad food but they argued that this is how we serve shawarma when I know for a fact that shawarma means it is supposed to be served in a pita bread rolled with delicious juiciness and vegetables to compliment it. It had NO JUICE in it whatsoever. The lamb Haleem was awful. What once used to be my go to is now probably the worst Haleem I have had. No flavor, the fried onion tastes like its been sitting out for weeks (no crunch). And they have also skimped on the portion size, it has gotten much smaller!!! I will never be coming back here. I decided to visit atleast once a month to Dallas, simply to have biryani there. I LOVE BIRYANI... I AM BIRYANI LOVER.... After I heard a from a Hyderabadi friend , I went to Biryani Point, tried Chicken Biryani my first experience was okay, not great and not bad. It's very close to my taste I am looking and feeling for, I went another time with a colleague, tried chicken biryani family pack, its simply awesome. It took time to get my taste buds working back again. Tried Mutton family Biryani on a Sunday Lunch, its best of the best I had. Price is cheap. My rating is 5*s, as this place is not restaurant with ambiance, someone expect great ambiance will disappoint, but it's a place for tasty BIRYANI's. Absolutely Disappointed I went there to order some biryani and ras malai. The biryani was decent and for biryani exceptional. The ras malai on the other hand was the biggest rip-off of my life. This wasn't ras malai. This was actual slime. For the $5 I paid, I got two ras malai patties which where warm, not cold, and actual white custard slime. You would go to get a spoonful of what you think would be delicious sweet sauce, but instead I got something else that fell right off my spoon. It was literally goop. There is no term out there to describe it, and if I could it would be a booger. It was definitely old, and just looking at it still gives me chills. Please do yourself a favor and do not order ras malai, other items I'm not sure about. I could spend $5 for frozen ras malai that tastes better, or I could make a ton at home. This restaurant is bogus DONOT go here they completely messed up my New Years PArty ! I placed order 5 days in advance and when i called the day of pick up i was told they did not prepare the food. The owner Sultan lied plus when i spoke to the cook he promised me he would have the food ready the next day ..the next day which was New Years Eve I called multiple times no one picked up! so i went there the place was closed!! I had invited 50 people with no food because of these unprofessional idiots.I called to complain on Jan 1st and was told a bullshit story bu a woman claiming to be the 'girlfriend' of the cook!! Worst Indian/Pakistani food I've ever had! We asked for chicken seekh kabobs and they were totally white and bland from the inside also it tasted as if we were eating rubber. Also, all the meat dishes that we ordered were not cooked properly. The portion sizes were horrible! Vegetarian options are available and are marked in the menu. Biryani Pointe is a really great place for carryout in the Lombard/Villa Park/Oak Brook area. My husband is a biryani addict, so we pick up dinner from here pretty much every week. I'm a vegetarian, so I stick to the veggie biryani. This is the best veggie biryani in the area, hands-down, and it's a good price for a good quantity. It's nicely spiced and a good variety of veggies too. We've also come in for a dine-in lunch one day when my parents were visiting. Most of us ordered biryani (of course), but my mom ordered chicken shawarma, which she said was pretty good! It was little spicy for me but the taste and flavor covers the spice. This biryani is similar to Hyderabad's old city hotels dum biryani. This was my first time trying this restaurant. I eat Indian Cuisine often and wanted to try a new restaurant. I ordered buttered chicken, chicken masala, chicken samosa, and naan. My Chicken Masala was very chalky tasting and dry, not creamy at all. The naan was so burnt that I could not eat it, because all I would taste is a burnt flavor. The Chicken samosa was good and the butter chicken was okay. When I called the restaurant to tell them that my naan was burnt and the chicken Masala did not taste good, they told me the food was not how I described it to be.
