After experiencing Toronto's amazing Indian food, I was worried Ottawa's wouldn't measure up; I was wrong. Brampton Authentic offers amazing, flavourful and authentic Indian food. The portions are amazing, and they offer vegan and vegetarian dishes. The food arrived promptly and was hot. The dishes are large and included rice. I ordered two mains with Naan and rice and it fed four people with lots of leftovers and with tax and tip was about $65.00. I ordered way too much food. I'll be ordering from here again.

Carrom Boards available for patrons to enjoy. Glad that they knew what dishes are vegan or can be made one. The naan is not and roti is vegan if taken without butter. The naan and rotis were good and just as Punjabi restaurants in GTA (Brampton?). The vegan mixed vegetables curry was a huge disappointment. Not great tasting and bit more In the greasy side. The quality and taste is one but even the container provided was hardly 1/2 full. For almost $20! Not too sure we would buy even a paneer curry 1/2 full for that price.

That experience was a lot better than expected, and we had planned to return. Plans came to fruition today! We got the Mixed Appy Platter to start. Mains chosen were Goat Masala, Kadai Paneer. 4pc Tandoori chicken, and family size garlic naan. Hearty, tasty, beautifully balanced flavours. Spice level chosen was medium - hot enough to waken your palette but not blow your head off. Ambiance was cozy and quiet, which we LOVE. We tend to eat early, so having the restaurant to ourselves is always a treat. Staff was welcoming and hospitable.

They have a pretty good size menu, so it took awhile to sort through. We ended up with the Vegetable Hakka Noodles, Tandoori Chicken, Family Garlic Naan, Chicken Saagwala, and the Kachumber Salad. The Hakka noodles were delicious, hadn't had these before but would definitely get again, they are actually really good as cold leftovers the next day as well. The Tandoori Chicken was great, bone in and cooked perfectly. Not too spicy, even my daughter ate some. The Family garlic naan really is FAMILY sized, absolutely huge, too big for our small family of three. Really good naan, and pretty impressed they can cook one this size, it paired so well with the chicken saagwala. The chicken mixed with the greens was delicious unlike other dishes we've had, it was probably the favorite dish we ordered. Their kachumber salad was quite nice, cold salad, really fresh feeling and the light seasoning blend they add to it was really nice to balance it out. This is a great spot to get some quality food.

The biryani came with yogurt chutney (bachadi) and we ordered a basmati steamed rice to go with the tikka masala. Pro Tip: there is enough steamed rice for 3 normal people. We ordered medium heat, even though we're used to the hottest because our waiter, Fenil, recommended it. He was right--it was sufficiently hot for us. The food was seriously delicious and I highly recommend you give this place a visit. They also have takeout. The ambiance is casual, quiet (even with the well-behaved children who were there, and the seats were very comfortable. Oh, and the service was great--although Fenil felt more comfortable dealing with my Indian wife when we ordered. Nice demeanor and pleasant experience. I really think you'll enjoy it. With tip and without drinks or dessert, the bill only came to around $66. Go for it; I think you will like it.

The place is cute and the ambiance is nice. The menu has a wide variety (vegetarian & non vegetarian options available). I ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Coconut Rice and a Mango Lassi. I placed my order 45min before I wanted to pick up and it wasn't ready until the hour mark because they were so busy on a Friday night. That was completely understandable though with dining-in customers plus take out ones and the food delivery orders coming in. The staff was very apologetic for the delay. I can't really speak much to the ambiance of the restaurant since I didn't eat in, but from what I could see, the place looked cozy and nice. I found that the butter chicken was good but not the best that I have had. I would have liked if the sauce was a bit thicker and creamier, but I was happy with the amount of chicken in it for the price. I chose the mild spiciness level and was content with it. I loved the coconut rice and I was glad that I decided to order it because I was going back and forth on it. The sweetness of the coconut was nice. I really liked the garlic naan and the portion size was great. It was delicious and very fresh. The mango lassi was also very good - creamy and refreshing to balance out the spiciness of the butter chicken. I will definitely eat here again in the future. I think I will try their goat curry next as that's a dish that I find harder to come across. The prices were reasonable too given the portion size and quality!

We have eaten there once and ordered delivery twice. I tried all 3 times to get a whole tandori chicken (which is listed on the menu). I was told the first 2 times that they only had the leg sections available at the time. The third time was a phone order, and I was told (after the order taker talked to kitchen) that the whole chicken WAS available this time. I was very happy to hear that. However, on receiving the order, I was very disappointed to see that rather than the whole chicken that I was charged for, with 2 leg sections, and 2 breast sections, they gave me 4 leg sections. Not my definition of a whole chicken. Since I prefer the breast meat, I would have ordered something else if they had been forthright about not having breast sections any longer. I also ordered a kale salad and got something with no kale in it at all, not the same salad as I had enjoyed while dining in at their restaurant. I called them about the chicken, and was basically told "tough luck", nothing they could do, not even a refund for getting leg instead of breast. This disregard for customer satisfaction would have earned them a 1 star review, but the food IS flavorful, so they get an extra star for that. Also, avoid the tandoori shrimp, WAY overcooked. Nicely seasoned, but shrimp should not be that tough, especially not at the price they charge. Flavor: good Price: high Customer Service: poor
