A trip back in time: Refuses to use email and won't let his secretary use email. Toss in "Can't do that, I don't have a scanner" (so buy one!) and you wind up on a telephone-message merry go round. And it's very tough to get him to write anything down but if you really insist he might drop a couple handwritten sentences in a mail box, but probably not. He'll just call you, again, and leave a phone message. And he won't send a report to your PCP concerning his findings, if any.
He missed important conflicts in the medical files I brought him, reviewed only at a glance and handed back to me instead of stored in my file for his future reference. And pretty much everything he does for you happens while you are in his office (and he's getting paid for his time), like writing a prescription, hunting around online for your pharmacy's fax number, faxing them, getting a busy signal, trying again, all the while you are staring into space. He's polite and punctual, but that's hardly the same as being a good doctor. My accountant is also polite and punctual. And my bartender. None of my pains have gotten any better, some are worse and much worse. I am moving on. read more
