    The Headliner
    Chris P.

Figured it was my first time so I'd go for the headliner. Taste is good. Nothing exceptional. Bun is very basic. The thing is, I have to think if I'm getting my money's worth and my conclusion is. No. It's really a fairly small sandwich for over $10. With so many chicken places, I can't think of a reason I'd come back here.

Came here on opening night for some shakes and video games with the kids! Great space with a really nice outdoor patio. Customer service is friendly and staff seem happy to be there, which they are known for. They also have margs, beer on tap and frose so this will be a popular spot! We are so happy to have you in our neighborhood and be able to walk to a new place! I haven't even talked about the food, which is top notch and we're already going back for lunch. Welcome to Centennial and we'll see you soon.

    The Rancher sandwich
    Pablo V.

We gad a very nice lunch at this Birdcall. We had the Rancher sandwich with loaded tots, a Frose and a bbq slider. The Rancher and its sauce were succulent. If you don't like the tots spicy, you can remove the jalapeños and nashville seasoning, and voilà! The bbq sider was good, but I would hope they make this a regular sandwich. It was too small for me. The 20 oz Frose was delicious and enough for 2 people! It was a great compliment to the chicken. I enjoyed the dinning experience because they have 2 arcade games that you can play for free. They have stickers also. We enjoyed our lunch and we will be back.

    Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake
    Elie A.

it was pretty excited to try. ended up getting teriyaki chicken sandwich, some fries and a strawberry shortcake milkshake. I was a little disappointed with the food portions as my sandwich was more bun than chicken. the chicken was also a bit dry. My milkshake was also kind of iffy not a huge fan of the shortcake. Hopefully they add a strawberry only option. The only good thing about my meal that I didn't fully finish was the fries because who doesn't like fries.

we were really excited to check out this new place in our neighborhood. We ordered an original chicken sandwich, the 2 slider box with tots and 2 piece tenders kids meal. The timer on the screen started at 20 mins. Once the timer hit to two mins it changed to "soon", which is when I started my timer. it took another 23 mins from that point. When our food came the chicken was over cooked, the sliders and the tenders were almost smaller than my index finger. The fries and tots were undercooked. They charge for each sauce and we still didn't get the sauces we bought. They do however have great lemonade. most likely won't return any time soon.

Tgeir wings ate double the size you get from the chains i mentioned earlier. I could imagine this restaurant selling madhed potatoes and gravy .. the southern fried crust would be spectacular with a creamy chicken gravy . We had potstick with their sweet soy sauce dipping marinade. You have to try these.. We had them fried. The filling was delicious with veggies and pork but all blended perfectly.. French Fries were delicious too and the coleslaw goes great with the breading on the fried wings. The gentleman who was probably the owner was very professional and polite. Honestly, I don't understand the hype around this place. I've given this place a solid try by…read moreeating here twice. The first time I went and dined in with my boyfriend. He did actually like his sandwich. I can't remember the name, but it was the one with the pimento cheese. I got the Korean sandwich, and my sandwich was so soggy with sauce that the bun was falling apart and the breading on the chicken was not one bit crispy, but instead had a mushy texture and kept falling completely off the cutlet. The flavor of the sauce was just too salty with a little bit of sweet, but no real flavor profile other than that. When I get a fried chicken sandwich I want it to have some crunch. That's half the fun of eating fried chicken, in my opinion. The tots were ok, but nothing to write home about. I got one of the dirty sodas, which sounded good in theory, but I really didn't like it and ended up just throwing it away. My boyfriend got the house made strawberry lemonade and said it just tasted too tart. Upon trying it, I agreed. I'm the type of person who almost always gets lemonade if they make it in house, but did not have a high opinion of this one. He didn't end up finishing his drink either. Today we ordered take out from Birdcall for our whole family. My boyfriend was there to pick it up when it came out, and we live only 5 minutes up the street. This time was the same- my breading just keeps falling off the chicken, even though this time I got no sauce on my sandwich. That's super disappointing and makes it harder to eat. My son doesn't like the chicken tenders either and says they taste bad. I tried a piece, and I don't think it tastes bad, but it is definitely bland. All of the chicken seems a bit overcooked judging by the dark color of the breading that has gone a bit past the golden brown you expect with good fried chicken as well as the slightly rubbery texture of the chicken. My boyfriend ordered separately but picked up both our orders. He got home and said his Starry has no flavoring whatsoever. I tried my son's lemonade and it again is just kind of sour in flavor, with not enough sugar added. I thought maybe the first time we ate their they maybe just had their ratios off in that batch of lemonade, but I specifically didn't order it with my meal this time because of the experience last time. I guess my instincts were correct because this time it still wasn't good. Overall I just always end up wondering why I spent the money to eat at this place when the food and drinks are so lackluster. I'd sooner eat at Raising Cane's where the chicken is super crispy, tasty, and the breading stays intact, and they have delicious lemonade that they make in house. I will say that the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice enough and the bathrooms were clean. It was over air conditioned, but that tends to be the case whenever you eat at a restaurant in the summer. Either way, I still don't get the hype around this place, re: the reviews I read. If I were you, I'd skip this place.

Anyway, I was dining alone and ordered Chook For You (1/4 chicken either white or dark meat, one side, one sauce). I got white meat (breast with attached wing), mashers & gravy, and the chimichurri sauce). I also ordered a single side of the smashed cucumbers and an iced tea. This was a lot of food, especially for the price. The breast piece was large, and the sides of mashers and cucumbers COULD be shared by two people (but I managed - somehow, sigh). It was all incredibly delicious and satisfied by craving for a little comfort food. The chimichurri sauce was so yummy that I was scraping it out of the container it was served in with my knife so I could get it all! The staff were very friendly and the dining room was clean. I sure wish there was a Chook near my house...

The food came out quickly, servers were all smiles, but the store was not as clean as you'd expect with so many employees standing around with little to occupy them. Ice was all over the beverage machine, the Peach Tea dispenser was empty (and still empty 20 minutes later), the floor was crumby, and napkins and dropped menus were under tables. Our food was fine. I liked the lemon basil chicken salad, and the side of chicken tortilla soup, while very small (5 oz., maybe?) was tasty but certainly not close to hot. My dining companion ordered the bacon cheddar melt sandwich--oops, out of bacon, so he settled for a turkey club sandwich, which was fine. The side of macaroni and cheese (again, very small) was good. We liked the small buttery cookies, pickle spear, and crackers. Since there were so few diners, the restaurant wasn't noisy. I downloaded the app (25 free points) but not going to rush back.

The hostess was extremely friendly, very conversational, and we definitely got that Southern hospitality. Our waiter, Ben, was extremely helpful when it came to questions we had and dishes that he would recommend us to try as first timers. We started off with their monthly special of fried okra and it was very delicious especially dipped in their homemade sauce. The okra was lightly battered, fried to perfection, and had a little spicy kick to it for every bite. Both my wife and I went with Ben's recommendation of the Monica-Smothered Catfish and Pork Chops. It was great to know that you could order the lunch portion during dinner hours and we did just that as we weren't too hungry after getting off the plane. The catfish fillets were cooked perfectly and it paired well with the crawfish tail cream sauce. One of the best catfish dishes I have eaten. As for the pork chop, it was grilled perfectly as well and the vegetables were a nice side. Also, one of the best pork chop dishes I have eaten. The creamed potatoes were delicious, but I didn't expect melted butter on top. Since the restaurant was busy for dinner service, there was a hiccup with our toddler's meal and Ben resolved it very quickly. I wished we had room for dessert because the descriptions were definitely mouth watering and Ben did ask us a few times if we wanted to try the beignets as they are a top seller. All in all, we would definitely come back here whenever we're in Colorado to try other dishes as well as the desserts! Service was excellent as our waiter and the other staff made our dining experience very smooth and seamless. They checked in on us in a timely manner and made sure we weren't missing anything. The restaurant was clean and had a good mix of the Colorado outdoor and the Southern/New Orleans decor. The parking lot is a decent size and we always saw it full whenever we left the hotel during lunch and dinner times.
