We came here for lunch on the day before we left Paris. This place is tiny but they were so friendly (and they even let us bring the dogs inside, which was amazing). I ended up getting an Asian style bowl with GF egg rolls, which was a great break from the other type of food we had been eating. The sauce was super flavorful, the meat was tender and the veggies were cooked perfectly. I also loved the egg rolls. They were nice and crispy and had a rice vinegar dipping sauce which tasted amazing. My friend and my husband each got a sweet crepe and a savory crepe. The crepes were also very good, but we all agreed the sweet one was the best. Definitely worth grabbing a bite here. read more

Biosphère Café appears to be one of the most recommended gluten-free spots in the whole city, after Noglu and Helmut Newcake, which were both sadly closed during August 2020 when I visited Paris. Biosphère Café is currently open on reduced opening hours, which is generally between 11:30 in the morning and 3:10 to 4 pm during the week. They're closed on weekends. The whole menu is gluten-free which really excited me, they do al-dente style pasta alongside pizzas and a Croque Madame, which was what I came in for having been eager to try a gluten-free version during my time in France. While the food is good value, I do think drinks are a little expensive and the selection of drinks also is a little poor, they seemed to mainly do standard soda and blended smoothie/juices, they didn't seem to have something simple like just orange juice or iced tea, I opted for a mix of what included cucumber, and I didn't enjoy it. It seemed to curdle very quickly and was an expensive disaster. The food, on the other hand, was a totally different story - my Croque Madame was one of the best single food items I've had in Paris, the bread held together very well and was naturally crusty and some of the best gluten-free bread I've had, this is someone who is exhausted most gluten-free bread as I generally find them dry, tasteless and disgusting, propped up by chewy seeds but here - none of that. Seedless bread is always a winner for me. The ham was also exceptional quality, the egg was almost cooked perfectly and I would have liked it ever so slightly runnier, the cheese was also good and I like how they didn't overfill it with cheese which again seems to be common. Some people think to overload toppings removes the taste and makes gluten-free bread edible, but the bread is so good here it doesn't need that. It's just quality on quality. I did, however, find the lettuce side a little odd and would have preferred some form of potatoes or fries, that being said the honey and mustard dipping sauce was pretty good too, it was obviously fresh. My crepe was okay, I would have liked more generous filling as the caramel sauce was hot but that didn't taste fresh or anything too exciting. I didn't like the cafe inside, I did find it really small even the kitchen area seemed small, tables were far close to each other and it could have done with some fresh paintwork. 3* - The Croque Madame alone knocks this rating up alongside the friendly and helpful staff, it was so good, it's a shame about most other parts of the experience weren't. read more

This tiny, cramped cafe was one I went to twice while in Paris! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. All the menu items are gluten-free and about half of the baked goods and desserts are too. Their gluten/dairy free macarons are amazing! I had the savory Provençal crepe that is made with buckwheat flour, eggs, tomatoes, olives, and zucchini; muffin with dried fruit at the bottom; blueberry muffin, and sampled their cookies as well. Biosphère Cafe was amazing Restaurant. I was searching Yelp to find some where I can get a GF crepe and hoping to find a GF Croissant in Paris. Biosphère has great reviews it was worth a try. They did not have Croissants but she did have GF crepes. First time having one since I have been diagnosed 30 years ago. She makes her own sauces to put on the crepes and runs the show all by herself . I tried their pizzas as well I can't say anything bad about this place . Yummy read more

I don't get the raving reviews, I just don't. As a celiac living in Paris, I did ample research on gluten free places in the city before my flight here. Everywhere I looked, Biosphere Café kept popping up. They seemed to have it all, and reviews below will mimic this idea. However, in reality I was super disappointed to have made the trek up north, only to spend too much money for disappointing food. The first problem? I had my heart set on pizza, and they were all out. No big deal, I switched it up and ordered a chocolate crêpe -- something I hadn't yet had here gluten free so I was almost equally excited. When it came out from the kitchen, I scarfed it down in about 30 seconds. For 6€, it was small and had hardly any chocolate. I've seen, with envy, all the millions of crêpes sold in Paris by street vendors. This one was less than half the size and far smaller than ones I even make myself! Still hungry, I ordered four macarons to take away and eat on the way back home. I had one of each flavor, and while the caramel was the best, each was either too salty or too sweet. Ladurée and Le Bon Marché have gluten free macarons as well for the same price or cheaper. I had high hopes, but BioSphere Cafe just doesn't have anything going for it. The prices are high and the quality of the food is well below average, especially for Parisian standards. read more

If you go, you HAVE to get a dessert which there is plenty to choose from. Only downside was the hours which were confusing. One of the few dedicated Gluten Free restaurants and bakeries in Paris, my wife and I specifically looked for this restaurant. We enjoyed their Ham and egg buckwheat crepes and some very nice dessert selections at a late afternoon repast. A great meal at a very reasonable price. What we did notice is this looks to be more of a lunch and bakery. Their hours stop at 6 PM, so do not plan on a late evening meal. English was a strong second language for our host, so if you are traveling to Paris needing a GF Meal do not miss this place. read more

AMAZING! We had a very lovely brunch here. The place was bustling busy with locals. Wide selection of galettes (which if you're not familiar is like a French savory crepe) on the menu and I also tried the croque madame. Both were delicious and just what we needed. Classic French cooking and you wouldn't have a clue it's all gluten free. Also tried macarons here which were full of flavor and delicious. The owner is lovely and speaks perfect English. Classic gluten free French patisserie with no downside (nor difference to the gluten counter part) I'm cœliac which means it's an obligation to eat gluten free for me. I hope this was just an off day but this was an awful experience. We arrived for a late lunch around 2pm, we just wanted something light but still lunch-like. Right after we sit down we overhear the waitress tell another patron that they are all out of milk for the day and can't do anything with milk. There goes the cappuccinos we wanted... Then it's time to order and I try to order a savory crepe and the waitress said they are no longer serving lunch. Ugh okay. So I ordered a sweet crepe. Then it's time to pay and the credit card machine is broken. I don't have enough cash and the nearest ATM was far away. I should have just left when the first error came up. This gem of a place was directly across the street from the apartment I stayed at in Paris. I was so excited to eat there. They were closed on Sat night and Sunday, but I was the first one in the door on Monday when they opened at noon. The gentleman and woman that greeted me were very nice and spoke perfect English so I had no trouble communicating my specific needs. The gentleman helped me decide which items would work best seeing as I am Celiac and also have allergies to eggs and some lactose. I ended up getting the crepe with ham, cheese, and potato ( which I saved and re-heated for dinner). The crepe was made with a vegan egg substitute and it was very flavorful. I also got the Angus burger to take for lunch and it was amazing! I got the carrot cake muffins and chocolate mousse to eat later. Everything was DELICIOUS!! Amazing isn't even a good enough word to use! I got pizza soooooooo good!, my boy friend (a non celiac) got the ham egg and cheese crepe amazing! And then I got a dark chocolate crepe for dessert and he for a Carmel ginger crepe oh my god they were by far the bear things we've ever had. We got apple juices that were so fresh and amazing my boy friend had 2. Then we got pastries to go that we're to die for we're going back today to get the gluten free baguette we preordered. This place is a gem for celiacs adventuring to Paris. I had the brunch special. The first course was a small pizza with green olives, an egg cake, carrot slaw, and a side of bread. The pizza was the real highlight, absolutely divine! The flatbread was perfect and the salty green olives a nice match for the cheese. With that said, the carrot slaw and bread was a bit underwhelming. The second course included pancakes, a croissant, pastry cookies, and a caramel sauce. The flaky texture of the croissant was impressive, and the caramel sauce was spot on. Although I enjoyed it, this type sugary meal is an indulgence and one that I would not have every day. I also loved the African roobios tea I had with the meal. The place itself is small, and I was cramped on a stool as a solo diner. If you plan to go on a Sunday, I suggest getting there early for the best seating. The brunch cost me 25 Euro, and I am glad I did it. Daugher has gluten allergy, so this place was a godsend since no one else in this part of paris even knows what gluten is, and my French sucks so I can't communicate with them. The 2 young guys working there were very nice, and our server spoke good English which was a huge help. We will definitely come back as the food was great and it's gluten free!
