The one lady did not want to do her job. I am a hyper active person. I Pretend don't hear what they are saying I can hear clear as day. They made wait two hours. All the reviews are true. The doctor is expert she knows everything and she was toxicologist and expert. Ask her to sample the blood to over ride her of expertise because she said I know that you are intoxicated she refused. They laugh at people and disregard your feelings. She denied me a test and was unprofessional. Really didn't care but these phlebotomist judged hard and hurt my feelings. I am super hyper she thought she knew everything she put a light on my eyes and said I was intoxicated, which was not the case. Do not go there. They are more than scum of the Earth. Probably about six out of eight of them that worked there on February 23, 2024. I do understand it's a cash business that they pay out so they might be a little scared. I do it because I study and donate blood at the same time. They will waste your time and they think it's funny. I asked her for the test to prove her wrong. She just sat there because she knew she wanted to feel right for the day and not do her job professionally because she likes to to be prejudice which is the only word here. Do not give care to much and I peaked through the back. I noticed that there was maybe like three people that were back there and they did not want to do the job, but sit back in the back office and talk very uneducated, absolutely did not want to work. I swear there was five of them in the back room peeking out to see if someone was in line, I run a business myself I've never encountered the laziest employees in my life go to American Cross Blood donor in Levittown, PA. I'll go there the wasted time I can t get back for what I can tell you is they are prejudice thinking that people are something they have no because they are not toxicologist or a DUI specialist or anything. I cannot stress enough, but I say lazy. Can you imagine what people are they surround and eat all the time and they don't burn energy to you can deduce just like I did in a nice way so mean man whiny complain you don't have to listen to me but if you think they're giving you an attitude they're playing the whole time and the biggest scam is after the two hours is just about when they're gonna get you in the back they tell you in the doctors office that they can't and they make you wait too long hours and sit there with a straight face and they almost laugh she wasn't good enoughand tell you to leave and defer you not to come back for 30 days they get off on it sick man because some people do it and they need to pay their bills and they're messing with their lives. read more

I have been donating plasma at the Fairless Hill center in Pennsylvania since 2020. It has been a great experience, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong helping people that really depend on your plasma donation, and at the same time you are helping yourself by getting compensated for it. This compensation can really help you and your family. The fees change monthly. However you are able to donate twice a week. So do the math!! The center is very clean and very welcoming. If I could rate it a zero I would, it's been one issue after another with this place , I last donated in December, I come back to be told I have to reregister and do the process all over again , funny thing is I logged into the kiosk to do vitals and was able to complete it , then I'm told my blood test from last year expired and I had to reregister, none of that makes sense, I have not been donating there for a year yet , I left to try calling corporate or a manager and could not get anyone on the phone , spoke to someone left my name and number and no return call either read more

I've been donating plasma for about 6 months now. I started at csl and I enjoyed the experience there but I had a situation happen where the machine wouldn't cycle back in my red blood cells and had to be deferred for 56 days to let them gather again. I waited a couple weeks and then went to a different center which just so happened to be Grifols. At first my donations were fine some of them took very long and apparently it was because I was dehydrated but it was fine. I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure and I have my own blood pressure machine and I check it before I come just to make sure I'm not wasting my time and gas driving to a center to donate. Eventually I started getting deferred repeatedly and every time I'd go there no matter what my blood pressure is beforehand it would come up at least 30-40 points higher than on my own machine even tho I'd test myself minutes before walking in. I presented this problem to multiple of the people who would test my blood pressure and explain how I don't like having my time wasted when I know my blood pressure isn't accurate on their machine. I'd show them screenshots of my blood pressure being MUCH lower than theirs and they'd say "oh well we can't use those as a reading" or "we've had other people complaining about the same thing so we're getting new machines" and it would leave me kinda mad at first but after the 7th-8th time I noticed everyone who came in was told to wait for 15 minutes. I was sitting next to 3 other people who were having the same issue. I refuse to return to Grifols after that experience and I will never recommend a donation center that can't even test your blood pressure by hand and instead rely on a hardly functioning blood pressure machine that I know clearly doesn't show an accurate reading. Even the time wasn't accurate on their machines. The unfriendly and rude staff made the experience worse almost every time and with the amount of other options to donate plasma in the area I can't see a single thing that justifies going back. read more

I called twice over the weekend to make sure I understood the process. I also asked what the busy days are. I was told Sunday and Thursday are busy. I asked as a new donor what is your cut off for accepting during the week was told six. I was also told that even if they wasn't enough time to take my plasma I could be tested at the least. I talked my BF and daughter into going with me on a Monday. We walk in and only one person ahead of us at 5:15. The lady behind the counter tells us she isn't accepting any more walk ins for the day. I told her we drove 45 minutes to get there, and I had called and was told 6 was the cutoff. She said that since there was ONE person ahead of us she wouldn't take us. She didn't say, she could only. take one, she didn't say your wait will be long, she just said Nope. No more at 515. Rude doesn't even describe this woman. We have jobs. We thought it would be win win. Help people and payoff a credit card. Now I see what lazy really looks like. read more

Very insulted. Was basically told that my urine was too "cold" and that they thought that it couldn't be out of my body. I was in a bathroom in normal clothes i.e., white Capri pants, white sneakers, sports bra and red short sleeved t-shirt. Nothing was loose fitting and did not have large pockets where someone could put "spare" urine. I did not have any other items with me at the time. I'm 50+ yrs of age and have no history of drug or alcohol abuse. Just curious but why did they not ask me for consent to visually watch me urinate in the cup? The one girl that was conducting the test was a trainee who was accompanied by a nurse. Why did they not let me see a physician who may have been on the premises so that I could have questioned this decision. Was also told that I was now on their "deferral list" and would not be able to try to donate again. read more

Not a good place. Very LOW PAY for plasma. SOME workers are nice. Others are very rude and forceful. Go to CSL Plasma if you want to donate. Better staff and higher pay. This place tries to scam you out of bonuses and coupons given for more pay. Beware they do this at the very end. My experience with Grifols was a pleasure all the nurses are very thorough and kind. The technicians who do screening are all great and know some of us by name. They make you feel welcome. It is 8:55 am eastern time. I have been at this location since 7:30 am. I recently started donating at this particular location. I came in today and everything seemed to be running smoothly as usual until it was time for me to donate. As I completed my paperwork I could hear chatter in the background between two plebotomists going back and forth about who was going to do the "stick". Clearly the young woman that I ended up with did not feel comfortable because she was really trying to give the task to the other gentleman. I am always hesitant about new phlebotomists doing the "sticking" but I kept my mouth shut because everyone deserves a chance otherwise how else will they learn? Everything seemed fine when I sat down. I noticed some things that were done that clearly gave away the fact that this young lady was new but I still continued on. I donate often. I could already tell that there was an issue as soon as the needle went into my arm. The young lady stuck me and punctured my vein in my left arm, she re-adjusted the needle two or three times before she finally decided that I needed a "re-stick". She then explained to me that she MAY HAVE punctured my vein. There was no MAY HAVE. SHE DID PUNCTURE MY VEIN causing blood to collect underneath my skin, forming a bubble around the needle that was sticking out of my arm! She finally asks for help. Help never comes. She proceeds to prep my other arm for the re-stick. As you can imagine, I was very hesitant because she basically just told me that she punctured my other vein. I have been donating for a while now but normally at a different location. I've seen "re-sticks" done before and it is always done by a different person.... not with me. This girl did the re-stick herself! WTF. Then the same exact thing happened AGAIN! SHE PUNCTURED THE VEIN AGGGGGGAAAAIIIINNNNN!!!! Then she called over for help again and this time someone came. The same gentleman she was bickering back and forth with comes over. He re-adjusted my needle and it wouldn't help the blood flow because the damage had already been done. Then another woman came over, the woman who prepped my paperwork and all she did was watch like I was a monkey in the zoo. All she needed was a bag of popcorn and a slurpee to complete that picture. The gentleman removed the needle and had the "supervisor" come over finally. Her name is ANGEL. It's ironic because she sure didn't act like one! She was so incredibly rude and condescending to me. After everything that had just happened there was no apology. There was no compassion, no bed side manner. Nope. The first thing she said to me is "oh, don't worry, you'll still get paid" with a snarky attitude. She looked at me, saw that i am black and said it as if i was only there for the money. Meanwhile my Mercedes is parked just outside of the building. Talk about judging a book by its cover! Then she proceeded to attempt to cover the young lady who initially did the stick by blaming it on me! Saying that my veins were too small and that I was not hydrated. All of which was a complete lie & was being used to distract me from what really happened... a lack of training and supervision. I drank over 60 ounces of water prior to coming in for my donation. I have donated without drinking any water at all and have never had an issue! This ANGEL woman was only interested in covering her own ass. As i walked away i could hear Angel whisper to the phlebotomist that stuck me " you never do your own re-stick, what where you doing?" Clearly this facility is just letting people run wild doing whatever and not following any type of standard. After walking out, I came back in and asked for the name of my original phlebotomist so I can be request not to have her in the future and ANGEL, THE SHITTIEST SUPERVISOR EVER refused to give it to me. I asked for it several times and she refused. All in all, I will not be coming back to this location to donate! I do not recommend anyone come to this location. I have been donating plasma for over a year at Biomat, there has been a couple of times I had to wait a bit longer than I expected but those issues were resolved. You are not going to get rich donating but you are helping other people. I have never had a problem with any of the staff, they are always professional, caring and friendly, from the moment you enter till the end of your donation. The Phlebotomist, who are fantastic, know what they are doing and take great care of the donors! Mark is great and always helpful with any questions, always makes time to talk while keeping the place moving. The place is always clean, the lobby, restroom but most importantly the donation area. If you consider donating plasma, this place should be your first choice. read more

This place is alright. The first day is definitely the longest so don't have any plans for that day. You can walk in at 10:00am to 2:00pm. Compensation changes every month and varies with location.
