This location closed permanently on May 5th. I hesitated to return for almost a year or it may…read morehave already been a year, because my last handful of visits were bad. A woman that was constantly complaining about how much she hated her job there was the person that prepped me for donation with the needle and it was apparently placed incorrectly because it was incredibly painful and uncomfortable during my entire donation process. My arm bruised very badly and it felt sore for over a week. For some reason I was still able to keep donating a couple more times until my bruising faded, then a few staff members acted like it was a problem because a light brown discoloration appeared on my arm at my injection site. I thought it was my fault for a while because I left a band aid on for too long but come to find out, I ended up getting Hemosiderin Staining as a result. It isn't that bad but now I feel like a laser treatment or just covering it up with another tattoo are some options to erase this minor flaw caused by negligence. I should've just walked out instead of let an unhappy employee touch me. Aside from all this, there were more good employees than bad, there and because of that, I didn't leave a 1 star rating.

I filled out the necessary documents and walked out of their location-cookies in hand-twenty minutes later. Very efficient and very engaging. Rated: a very positive experience. I drop the mic!! One Blood has a new location. Located in the same shopping center as Luisa's and Beyond Amazing…read moreDonuts, nice to see a new space that is still convenient to me to donate whole blood or platelets. The plus about this new office is that there are windows to see out (to the parking lot). The previous donor room was an interior room so the only things to really look at were the screens that everyone had to decide to watch the same thing. Looks like each platelet station has their own entertainment. Staffers are still great and friendly, some of them are adjusting to the new office and where all the supplies are kept. The layout of the office is not as spread out, but is a more efficient space- less walking between the history/interview rooms and the donor room. Check in is easy- make an appointment online or on site...further check in questions are done on iPads and you are ready to go. Vitals are taken in the history room and then you go donate. Always nice to know the blood is kept local and you are always thanked for donation. It gets used in the area and helps the community.
