Fast forward about 15 years or so (can't remember exact dates) and Dr. Byerly sold the office to Dr Ray, and it's been in great hands ever since. Dr. Ray renovated the place and it is a super nice office. The staff is incredibly friendly and gentle with their cleanings. Many of them have been there for a very long time. They sent her out with her little bag and no figure appt made. Didn't asked if we wanted to possibly self pay or buy their plan. They were just done with her. I don't know if there equipment is from the 1960's or what, but I must have taken 25+ X-Rays. Every other Dentist I have ever been to can get it all done in 4 X-Rays. Talk about radiation poisoning, discomfort, and what a waste of time. Whatever they had to put in my mouth to take the X-rays was also very uncomfortable, and it actually didn't seem very hygienic. The dentist came in for barely a few minutes... he showed almost no interest in me and was out before he came in. Then at the end, they showed me all the "work" that needed to be done. Almost $5,000 of stuff that was wrong in my mouth. Pretty incredible considering less than 12 months before my previous dentist couldn't find anything wrong in my mouth... and considering I had no pain / discomfort etc. Not to mention I don't eat sugar or processed food, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol etc. I don't buy it. I don't trust this place... and while I am the first to review them negatively on Yelp they do seem to have negative reviews else where on the internet. 2 stars because my Hygienist was good. Otherwise, I wouldn't go back.

I feel like the workers work on commission and are telling you what needs to be done before you even get comfortable in the chair. I had zoom whitening, a cleaning, and now a couple root canals and crowns. During each visit, I feel listened to and respected. The staff is professional, patient, and empathetic. Dr. Yates is wonderful. He's friendly, knowledgeable and very good at what he does; I trust him. If you need a root canal, Dr. Ryan, whom is one of their available endodontists, is absolutely wonderful. She performed my root canals and they were delightful. I know that sounds very weird, but it was painless. I mean no pain at all. She really took care of me by making sure I was absolutely numb and comfortable. I am ever so grateful! The entire team at Aspen Dental are superstars, which is why they are my go-to place for my dental needs.
