bioLife is a company meant to help other people, yet they don't care about the people in there to donate. The Riverton center is so unorganized. I arrived on time and sat on the couch for over an hour and the line never moved. The girl next to me had been there two hours- same thing. why have appointment times if you can show up an hour late and there's no difference? there were eight people sitting on the couch, waiting to be processed. There were another 12 people standing in line to have their temperatures taken. There were 15 people in line, waiting to have their plasma drawn. Why allow that many people to schedule a time if you cannot process them? Who is the manager and why haven't they fixed this problem? read more

I have had problems every time i went to donate; the staff is undertrained and they dont know their job-even the nurses! The nurses are telling people if you have a problem with anything- then dont show up. The nurses are busy chatting for 10+ min about their personal life and about what life would be like as a stay at home mom, all the while clientele are waiting in line to be seen by a nurse. The nurses dont have a clue whats going on around them at their own job- i had to tell them several time how the computer system works (i knew because i asked everyone else every time I've had an issue). This is a good way to get a few extra dollars every week. I don't love sitting there for an hour but it's worth it. Every once in a while I get a tech that has a hard time finding my vein and it gets a little painful. But it's a small price to pay for knowing that I'm helping somebody who needs plasma. read more

The American Fork team seem great until you need help. They are unable to problem solve. As a twice a week Donor for over a year I am disappointed in their lack of loyalty or appreciation. I work full time, go to school full time, single mother, etc. So needless to say I don't have a lot of time to donate. But when BioLife emailed me a special offer for $200 to donate, I planned accordingly and made the time. I hired a babysitter, woke up early on my only day off, drove 30 minutes; when I get there they say this coupon (with my name on it) is actually only for new donors! The manager offered me a ridiculous $15 extra. I am so upset, I feel duped. I walked out and will never go back unless they fix this. If a business explicitly offers something, they should honor it- period. read more

Avoid! I was warned by Family members this place has gone down hill when I set up my appointment. After staying away for over 7 months I was enticed back with a promotional bonus to donate 8 times in 30 days. I had stopped going to Riverton BioLife before because they had driven a needle through my vein twice in 2 months making me ineligible to donate again for a month. That had eliminated the previous bonus and the supervisor apologized for the rookie mistake of the twenty-something trainee. I was told to wait for my physical after they located my file.I have been left sitting by the door for over an hour observing craziness while two supervisors were supposedly searching for my misplaced file. I ended up remaining on site for over two hours and was promised a inconvenience fee of $10 and a phone call if they find my file in the future. read more

Why bother making an appointment if they don't even ask you about it or it makes any difference? I usually make an appt but then stand in the same line that everyone else is in whether they have an "appointment" or not. Lately it's been a 45 min wait to get from the back of the line to the donation chair. & then they have the poor techs scrambling around so busy- last time I was in the chair for 20 mins before I was able to get hooked up becuase she was so busy(not her fault she just needed some help!). They refused to ever read it so I kept adding on as more awful experiences occurred. Here they are! One more review. My other two are still below, obviously never read or given a sh** about in the slightest by BioLife. This review will be short: GO ANYWHERE ELSE. There is not another company that hires such disorganized, confused, and pissed off workers that just treat you like cattle. The doctor that has to verbally you a 5 minute speech, for literal legal reasons, did not say it out loud. She had it recorded on her phone. Where is the privacy in her being on her phone? And why bother putting on your gloves if you're just going to touch your phone and computer which are both covered in your sweat and fecal particles? While she played me this so-called very important speech on her phone, she was looking for trucks on KSL. Do I not matter? Is the office really the place to be doing your personal chores? Just do yourself a favor, don't bother with the idiots here, go LITERALLY anywhere else. They will treat you better, they will respect you more (or AT ALL), and they won't be such a pile of confused freaks running with their heads cut off. Below is my LAST TWO WONDERFUL REVIEWS. Maybe READ IT BIOLIFE. YOUR RIVERTON LOCATION IS A VERY NEARLY LITERAL GARBAGE FIRE. Obviously my last review was never seen or read so I'm leaving it down after this one. During my four hour wait today they've decided to play Megan Thee Stallion, Nikki Minaj, Doja Cat, Erica Banks - if that means nothing to you, it's the garbage TikTok music about having a sexy body (body-ody-ody-ody), butts & asses, N words, tits, twerking, god only knows what else. I'd be fine with it if it was on shuffle, through a variety of music, but GOD D*MN this music is terrible. Shoutout to the "owner" for responding to EVERYONE else's reviews but never mine. What an absolutely horrible company. Here's my other review from the past. When you go in, it's a very easy process usually. The people are great, they treat you with respect. Don't ever think about calling them with a question, though. In the past, I've called and left a message multiple times and have never gotten a response. Today, I had a time-sensitive question. I needed a response today. So I called them, was sent to voicemail after 8 seconds, so I kept calling them. I wanted a response today. Finally they answered and go "Hello, you've been VERY persistent, I was on another call, what do you need?" So I started my question and she cuts me off with "Uh-huh, and?" This is NOT respectful or caring at all. At the end she had the snarkiest and rudest "Thanks, bye". Thanks guys. Putting *ssholes on the phone is wonderful. Find better people to answer questions on the phone. Literally DON'T send me to voicemail after 8 seconds when I have a TIME-SENSITIVE QUESTION. I am willing to wait a few minutes for a person to talk to, since you refuse to ever call back about any messages I've left. Hopefully this review even gets read. Worst place to try and donate at. Been trying to for three weeks now. First time they say your pay stub will do but they for got to mention it has to have you ssn on it. Second attempted I brought the right stuff to be told that I have account at the Layton. Location witch I have never been there and I have to call them and have it deactivated. So after 20minutes on hold with the Layton location they take my info and say they will get it done. I give them a week and here I am being told it's not done and that this location (Riverton) could have initiated it. So there trips the cost of gas and time and I'm still not able donate. What a bunch of crap and wondering if it's really worth it. Its cost me more in time and gas to try and donate. read more

Everybody at BioLife is awesome! The first initial donation plan to be at least 1:45 - 2 hours. What is nice is you get one prepaid card that they put funds on every time you donate. You can donate twice in a seven day period and earn up to $240 a month! But like I said, this place is always energetic, fun, inviting, the staff take time to learn your name, get to know you, and sit and talk when they can. There really is no pain. You get used to a needle in your arm. It's something worth doing knowing your helping someone else have a better life. read more

Had the absolute worst experience. They have fully made me not ever want too. Everyone that has told me that they're the best in this state to donate plasma for. They aren't they are absolutely completely rude. And this is number first time that they've denied me from donating the first three times I had to make an appointment and they couldn't find me in their system and then today I get told that since I hadn't eaten in the last three hours that I couldn't donate. Be very careful going into this location and discussing what you do for a living. I told one of them toys that I worked at a sex shop and somehow it got back to the manager of a adult shop and I whore myself out for the weekends. When I called to speak to a manager about it he told me that he would believe his employees over a customer. read more

Have had multiple terrible experiences with the American Fork location. They will send out little promotions to encourage you to donate regularly and it seems like every time I am getting close to cashing in on one, some new rule pops up to prevent that from happening and when I bring it up with the onsite management team, there is "nothing we can do". Onsite management team is NOT helpful. Donating Plasma is a good way to get some extra cash, but there are a TON of inconveniences you have to endure in the process. Just be aware that you are at the mercy of ridiculous rules. read more

I would never go to this center. I'm switching and I've only donated for a month because they had a good promotion but I could barely get it because you will never be able to donate on time. People have to leave for work because they have been waiting in line for 2-4 hours. The people are nice but they are very understaffed and they don't care what time your donation is at you will be donating 2-3 hours after your scheduled time. Today was a 4 hour wait and I waited in line for 3 and had to leave. Of course I didn't know it was gonna be a 4 hour wait until after I filled out the questionnaire and got my finger poked because once that happens you can't leave and if you do you can't donate later that day. I missed my last day of my promotion money. But they don't care. If you're smart you'll go somewhere else I only came here because I live 5 minutes away but I'd much drive 30 minutes to a center if it means I'll be donating on time. read more

i have scheduled certain appointment times where i will be available to donate. SEVERAL times i have come, there's not only a line out the door but inside the facility as well. i understand they are trying to accommodate as many donors as possible, but lower the appointment times to 10 donors instead of 30 the poor organization of the slot scheduling is aggravating !! the normal check in time from walking in the door to sitting in the donation chair should be 15 mins max. the fact that i've spent at least 20 mins just standing in line, waiting to complete the questionnaire is absolutely ridiculous. in my opinion, the time from walking in and out of the building should be 90 mins max. please be considerate of your donors time and availability they are giving up. read more

Nice, clean facility and location. Reception is a little slow getting to myself and others. Screening doesn't take more than 10 minutes (answering questionnaire and vital check). I'd give this place negative stars if I could. It's managed horribly. Staff are undertrained and it feels unsafe-- in only a month, I was given a hematoma and I saw another girl get an air bubble. Staff won't check on you during your donation unless you can manage to wave someone down. Biolife does not value donors' time at all. Scheduling an appointment doesn't matter to them-- you will still wait at least an hour to be seated. I even called ahead to ask about the wait time and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I was in line for an hour and didn't even have my finger pricked. Even if you have an appointment scheduled, they will have new donors cut you in line regardless of how much time it adds to your appointment. I've been told by an employee that most people spend about 3 hours there for each donation. Also, good luck leaving feedback with them because they couldn't even find their own feedback cards. Employees say they're understaffed and busy but I always see them standing around chatting. Management is terrible and it's clear that Biolife does not care about donors. read more

I was humiliated and turned away for donation for a reason that didn't make sense after driving 45 minutes. You're just seen as another number versus someone who is donating to help save lives. Really awful experience. I've been donating plasma at other centers for years and never had a bad experience till now. At my physical, the nurse was really weird and accusatory about two unused decades old ear piercings I have, it was really odd and uncomfortable. Then, I get rejected twice for lipids in my blood, which has never happened before in all my years of donating. I even followed their guidance on what not to eat. Not coming back again, not even worth the remaining $250 in promotions I would have received. If you want to donate here you'd better be non pierced, like ever, and eat only lettuce. read more

So embarrassed and disappointed. I was not allowed to donate because I live in a "trailer park". I live in a mobile home (not a trailer) in a nice park. I am a good, clean person, I work full time have raised 3 children. This made me feel like a second rate citizen. They should be open and honest about this on their ads. Management is terrible. 1-3 hours waiting, and that is with an appointment. Staff is nice but after waiting 2 hours it doesn't matter because everyone is so mad. I donated at the American Fork location for over a year and never had to wait. It is obvious the difference is management. Everything at the Riverton location is different than AF, and the difference makes donating here miserable because you have to plan at least 2-4 hours when you should be in and out in under an hour. They need to invest in someone with experience in operations who can help them figure out how to manage the flow of customers. read more

Donated for the first time yesterday. The process was easy and well explained. I used a coupon and received compensation the same day on a prepaid card which will automatically be loaded each time I donate. The material provided was useful for future visits, especially related to potential deferrals. Expect to be there for at least 2 hours the first time, I was there for almost 3 but I had a TON of questions. Going forward it shouldn't be as long. Overall, price for time is well worth it. I'm a mother of two small children so "me" time is rare. I liked that I could chill and read a book and get paid. read more

I have been donating plasma for 11 years in a row. This is my first experience with Biolife in Riverton. Outstanding! I transferred from American Fork and I must say Riverton beats American Fork hands down. For one thing Riverton actually answers their phone and they even made a physical appointment for me to get started without the standard, "Just visit our website." They called me the next day with a date and time...WOW. The receptionist "Amber" was cheerful, precise, professional and friendly, walking me through all the steps and it went surprisingly fast. The nurse who did my physical asked me if I had any coupons to be applied for this donation. I said no and she found that I qualified for a coupon even though I did not have one in my email or phone. Thus, I was able to get the $80 instead of the $20 for this visit. When it came to donate I met the MOST wonderful young lady by the name of "Ashtyn". Remarkable! Knowledgeable, informative, professional and competent with a contagious positive personality which makes anyone's day better. Ashtyn made the donation "fun". I am looking forward to visits at this center. The reason why I write this is because I have gotten to actually hate donating sometimes, due to a horrible experience with Grifols in Orem with kids who are employees, who are managed by kids and whose donors are kids. While Biolife adheres to proper medical standards, documentation, and mindful of liability issues, Biolife seems to understand that policy should never override common sense, especially for those of who are of the older generation.
