Throughout my 30-year career in STEM, I've extensively worked as an educator in math, physics, and…read morechemistry, meeting countless students along the way. But few have impressed me quite like Gina Nalbandian--not just because of her brilliance, but more importantly, because of her measured tenderness, which makes her the perfect physician. When my mother experienced strange pains below her ankle, we immediately sought medical help. The first physician merely commanded her to wear varicose socks without even touching her foot. The second did the same, and the third simply gave her an injection--one that worsened the pain. After a month, my mother still wasn't feeling any better. Then, I remembered that one of my dear students from many years ago--Gina--had become a podiatrist. I scheduled an appointment and took my mother to her. First, after two decades, Gina recognized me instantly. Second, she was the only physician who actually examined my mother's foot before prescribing appropriate footwear and natural pain relief, while also helping us understand that the pain might never fully disappear. A few weeks into the treatment, my mother reported that the pain had significantly subsided. During the follow-up, she was so impressed by her new doctor's sharpness and bedside manner that she asked me to take a picture of them together. Here it is! We are forever grateful to Dr. Gina Nalbandian.

This business has two locations, in Reseda and Westlake. The same doctors work at both, to my…read moreknowledge, to serve patients on the east and west ends of the valley. I have never had anything less than a great experience with this clinic and literally everyone who works there. They are all terrific. I've been seeing Dr. Perry for the last 4 years and he did my ankle surgery, and I've gone to him for tendon tears and other stuff as I'm prone to those things. I've also seen Dr. Feingold about my knee. I'd suggest not developing any preconceived negative opinions about this clinic from the 1 and 2 star reviews. Seriously. For some reason, just not a lot of patients have reviewed the clinic - they have tons of patients, they're always very busy whenever I've gone for my appointments. If you have orthopedic needs, find out if they take your insurance and then go there. I have been to crappy ortho clinics. Take my word for it, there are some really bad ones around the valley who absolutely do not care if you live or die or are in terrible pain with a broken bone. This isn't one of them. They will get you in the door as soon as they possibly can. They see a ton of patients, mostly older ones who are disabled, and yeah you may have to wait in the waiting area/exam room but hey, that is life, it's that way in the office of any good doctors. They're also good with insurance. Before my surgery they processed the whole thing including whatever pre-authorizations had to be done, not sure if there even were any. They booked the surgery in the hospital and made sure my insurance would pay for the operation in the hospital, and it was just a totally efficient process. Give the Ortho Med Center a try. They know what they are doing and they care about the patients.

To start off ima say the customer service is none existent here, it's absolutely horrible. The doctor was 'alright' least to say, nothing special kept tryna have me put a cast on to make that extra $$ but after X-Ray he saw that my foot had some broken bones I asked if it's okay as it hurts when doing certain things the answer was, well it is broken.... They gave me a boot for $180 and said just keep it on don't cheat and broken foot will heal and u should be able to walk in 2weeks were with cast I'll make it where u won't feel anything and can walk within a week comfortably. Long story short I walked out with a boot and $450 less, and barely any knowledge but to just put ice and elevate my foot and use the boot when moving around and that should apparently fix my broken bones. No meds nothing either just a fancy boot. Will not come back to this for my appointment for this office any longer, I will be going to a new doctor least to say.. Edit: they couldn't even print out my X-rays they lied and said it's at the main office only being reseda but they just didn't know how to do it..

Congratulations to Dr. Tim Trinh and his caring staff as they celebrated their 15th business…read moreanniversary this month! All patients were invited to join their party featuring food, drinks, prizes and gifts, and warm hospitality. A fun time was had by all. Dr. Tim's generosity was so kind. I am now well-stocked with products to help soothe my dry eyes for many months! Everyone who attended the event received a raffle ticket and great prizes were awarded. They also gave welcome bags of eye-care goodies just for attending. The food offerings were anchored by the taco guys (I didn't catch their actual business name). They had a whole spread of condiments to go along with the tacos made to order. There were also sweet treats and pizza. A party feast! This is an eye care practice with heart, and lots of current technology, too. I'm so happy to witness their success and be a recipient of their expertise. Their anniversary milestone is worthy of celebration. Thank you, Dr. Tim, for including us!

Dear TO, NP and Westlake residents, You don't know how lucky…read moreyou are to have Dr. Zabaleta. I used to call TO my home town until employment changes forced me to move to Orange County in 2016. At about the same time, my vision was progressively getting worse until I could not improve it by wearing glasses anymore. My optometrist recommended fitting Scleral contact lenses since I have Keratoconus on my left eye and a cornea transplant on my right eye. I went through 3 fittings during the first year. Then 2 more during the second year. But still the lenses did not seem to fit well, I could not wear them more than 6 hours per day or I would get blood shots in my eyes after I take them off. I was almost ready to give up on Scleral lenses, when my Ophthalmologist recommended that I try Ketchum University Eye Center. Fortunately, I became a patient of Dr. Zabaleta when she did her residency at Ketchum University. Dr. Z took a lot of measurements and pictures using the specialized machines. She explained that since I have a cornea transplant on my right eye, I would need the largest Scleral lenses in order for them not to sit on the transplanted cornea. After just 2 fittings, I am able to see 20/20 and wear the Scleral contacts for as long as I want to because they are so comfortable. I was sad and a bit discouraged when I heard Dr. Z was ending her residency and planning to move on with her career. But 3 years later, I am still using the same prescription and Scleral lenses spec. without any issues. I am so grateful for the fitting that Dr. Z did for me that I decided to do a search; lo and behold, Dr. Z ended up in Thousand Oaks. How I wish I could move back to be her patient again. So if you are doing your research, know that you will be in the capable care of Dr. Zabaleta. From your first appointment you will feel welcomed as part of her family that she takes care with lots of compassion and patience. She will make sure you understand the course of treatment that she is recommending for you and she will do her best to ensure the best outcome for you. Sincerely, H M.
