Use Bio Clean if you need mold remediation done right!!! These past few months my son has been sick with a cough that seemed to be turning into asthma. I wasn't sure what was the cause as it started to happen pretty soon after moving into our new house. I had Bio Clean come out and test my house to see what was in the air. They did an inspection of my home and found that we had a water leak under our sink that resulted in mold. The test that they took came back high for certain molds that could be causing my son's asthma to get worse. The unfortunate part for me was that the mold levels in the rest of our bedrooms were also in an unsafe mold. I had John and his team come out right away, and they were able to clean up all the mold throughout our house. He also suggested a mold fumigation process that we went with as well. After the remediation was complete, we moved back in and my son has been feeling better ever since. His asthma and cough have subsided, and we are extremely grateful for John and his team. I HIGHLY recommend using John and Bio Clean to anyone who is suffering from mold. read more

Bio Clean - John found all this mold under our sink. - Environmental Abatement Near Me

I cannot say enough good things about John and his company. We moved into a house that had cats and I was having allergy issues. I looked at many allergy remediation services but they mostly just offered to bring HEPA filters to the house, which I knew wouldn't work. John was very knowledgeable on allergies and pet dander. He is actually one of the few people out there who is an NCEAA- Certified Environmental Allergen Assessor. He suggested we try ClO2 fogging and we did. It worked great! And he was great to work with, smart, professional and kind. I highly recommend him and his company. read more

John came to our home in Berkeley as part of our effort to figure out whether we had mold and how much it would cost to get rid of it. Another person from another company referred him to us after testing the air in the 4 rooms at basement level. John carefully and scrupulously went through everything to look for mold and dust and took photos to put together a thorough estimate for doing the job. He is extremely nice and explains everything clearly. I felt badly that we paid another company so much money for the measurements but John didn't get any of that despite staying for 90 minutes. I do hope to use his company later this year. Highly recommended. read more

3 months after buying our first place--an apartment in SF--my fiance started to feel very sick. He's extremely mold sensitive so we had a mold test done. Sure enough, there was mold in 3 different areas in our apartment caused by our old steam radiators. My fiance has had mold poisoning from prior living situations, and so we were determined to get this issue solved. It feels like with mold, you can never be too thorough, so I searched for a mold professional who really understands and cares about mold's impact on mold-sensitized people. I found exactly what I was looking for and more in John! I had already planned on using a different remediator to rip out the floors & sand the areas with mold damage. I used John and his team for particle cleaning & fumigation. I spoke with John on the phone and he was very quick to send over a proposal. I had spoken to 3 different remediators who offered cleaning services before him, and John's pricing is extremely fair. John took the time to read the many pages of the mold test report I sent him, and he sent a detailed email with his thoughts on it. He also took the time to read the proposal of the other remediator I was using to make sure they were going to be thorough enough. John cleaned every room in our apartment, not just the rooms with the mold damage. I think he even cleaned the inside of our toaster! After the cleaning process, he did a mold retest and the apartment was clean. My fiance and I have been back in our place for about 2 weeks and he's already feeling so much better, which is a massive relief. Thank you John and the Bioclean team! We're so thankful. read more

Wow, I was referred to Good Housekeeping by a friend. I called, John answered and showed up 2 hours later to clean the carpets in our 5 bedroom 2 story house. He was not only prompt, thorough and professional but also a nice person. We had 3 year old stains that I thought would never come out but John was able to bring our 8 year old carpets back to awesome condition. I noticed Good Housekeeping also did mold/tile removal, he came back the next day and did our kitchen and bathrooms, the grout looks beautiful and new...10 stars and a big thank you, you are the best.... read more

John Watt changed my life Not kidding Long story short....I had been living in this completely uninhabitable apartment. Mold infested, termite infested, mice. I was so sick and so was my dog. rashes, brain fog, always felt sick, congested, coughing. I even got the place tested for mold. they said that "occupant should evacuate premises immediately." that's how high the mold content was. I threw out so many things. I had to move, but how? i couldn't throw out everything. I didn't know what to do? i was still so sick and didn't know how to get on with my life. I called other mold remediation companies. didn't sound too helpful. They kept telling me they would come in and wipe everything with bleach and all my clothes had to be washed to kill the spores. The expense to hire these companies was so high as well. And it still didn't sound like it would clean anything. I did some research looked, on Home Advisors and found Mold remediation USA aka Good House Keeping Inc. John was so down to earth and didn't look at me like i was totally insane or paranoid. Or OCD. He bombed my entire house and the garage with his bio clean sou lotion. Within three weeks all my symptoms and my dogs symptoms were gone. i was able to save some stuff and pack everything. This apartment is cleaner than when i moved in six years ago! I was able to move out of the dump. Thanks John! read more

John Watt from Good Housekeeping has been providing carpet and floor cleaning for a 33 unit building that I live in and manage for the past 10+ years. John and his crew are very professional; They show up on time and are honest and thorough. His work is as good as it gets. His truck mounted steam cleaning system is awesome. He also has knowledge on how to remove tricky stains and blemishes. I have also found his pricing to be very competitive if not better than most cleaners. I have recommended John to numerous people and property owners and everyone has been very pleased with the results. You will not regret using John for all of your floor cleaning needs. read more

John is the best at what he does! As a Peninsula Realtor, John has cleaned many homes for me prior to going on the market and he gets stains out like no other! I have used Good Housekeeping to clean my carpets for 4-5 years now. John and his staff are extremely professional and courteous and my carpets always look great. They even return to re-clean spots if they reappear within 6 months. They are very flexible with scheduling and rescheduling and are always very prompt. John is a jack-of-all-trades. This last summer John did a mold treatment in a lower level bedroom which had some water damage. After his non-toxic and extremely safe treatment, the mold spores were gone. I am so impressed with John and Good Housekeeping, I plan to use them to work on my marble kitchen counters this fall. I intend to use Good Housekeeping for as long as I live in the San Mateo Area. read more

Excellent work, on time, professional, friendly, honest. I can't ask for more. Super happy with the results.

Just the best! I have been in my home for over 35 years and ever since I found Good Housekeeping, John has been cleaning my carpets and windows. He is extremely personable, prompt, efficient and reliable. I am a licensed daycare provider and work with children in my home. John and I were talking one day and he told me about a Bioprotection Treatment that he started using that might help with the children's allergies. The treatment can be used indoors and will eliminate pollen, dust mites, mold, odors, bacteria and viruses and germs. I just had to give it a try. We were not sure it would work long term since I use the garage as a playroom for the children. John came over one morning and treated the garage and then came back later that day. I was amazed that in the weeks following the treatment, my allergies were better and I noticed a definite difference in the children as well. One or two of the children always had constant runny noses, and suddenly their noses stopped running. Wow! What a difference. So, I will be calling John out again in the future to schedule another sanitizing treatment. When you work with children, we do the best we can to keep our home sanitary. Thank you John for all your cleaning and sanitizing services! read more

I got John's contact info from a friend who has used him for years. And that WAS years ago. I've been using him for several years and he has cleaned many carpets (repeatedly). I have 3 dogs who occasionally will do their business on a very nice persian rug. You have to get the smell out or the rug becomes their personal toilet. Thanks to John for doing the John with a smile and outstanding talent! read more

I've lived in Foster City for over 20 years, and along the way I've tried various carpet and home cleaners. When I found Good Housekeeping, I was delighted to realize they were the BEST at what they do, and in 10 years I've never switched. Here are the highlights: 1. They do outstanding work--from carpet cleaning, to windows, to cleaning and sealing grout, stone, and tile--they get it right. 2. They will come back if you're not happy. I had a mystery stain on new carpeting that would look great when they left, but it would be back in a couple of days. Good Housekeeping kept on it--ultimately they pulled the carpet back to the subfloor and found a pool of sugary drink that kept coming up through the padding and carpet. They got rid of it, retacked the carpet, and cleaned it. They are truly not happy until you are happy. 3. They are always on time, or else they will let you know if they are running late. I think. They never run late. 4. No creepy people. Everyone I've encountered at Good Housekeeping, from John, the awesome owner, to the nice people on the phone, to the rest of the staff I've met are professional, pleasant, and honest. I NEVER worry about having them in my house. 5. They are accommodating--more than once, I've called and said, "I'm having a dinner party tomorrow and the carpet looks awful!" and they show up. I'm not worthy, but they are great. I can't promise they always do this, but they have for me. Simply the best in the area. I cannot say enough good things about Good Housekeeping. If you are looking for professional home cleaning services, definitely give these guys a call. read more

John and his guys did a fantastic job cleaning our carpets and windows! Very efficient and very reasonable! Highly recommended!

Got dogs? John and the Good Housekeeping crew have been through over a DECADE of our carpet and canine traumas, as I have a pension for adopting 'older rescues' with 'issues.' (aging bowels, seizures, etc) Each time I've had an emergency that seemed insurmountable, John has swooped in like a superhero getting stains out that I'd never deem doable, with my mantra being, "just do whatever it takes we're going to replace this carpet anyway" and then voila, it buys me more time to stave off the inevitable. This is my first Yelp review ever, and I'm embarrassed to say it's taken this long to give them a shoutout...and they're probably the oldest vendor relationship/cust svc feedback loop I have in my 'go to' pile of home improvement/resources. John and his staff's demeanor (I've never met a rude hire yet) is appreciative of the work, low-key and accountable, and personifies the warmth of a family-owned business who's ready to 'do it right' and dedicate to REPEAT business and word of mouth, versus one shot big bucks franchises who come in on the cheap with loss leader ads and then scalp you on the backside for extras. Integrity, personality and results-driven performance? All 5-star w/John's crew. Guess I'm finally getting around to reporting this as we've slowly segued to Pergo/laminate flooring from white berber carpet (he can help w/durable flooring recos too) and there's only 'one level left' of carpeting to keep up...That said, I just called him today to do 'upholstery cushions' for dining room chairs and tackle the most recent mishaps from a teen team of athletes there...so thought I'd write this before I forget again! Thanks, John and Good Housekeeping for reminding me of my "why to buy" from small biz vs large corps. Customer service is not an oxymoron with your firm, and that will keep me coming back time and again... read more

Good Housekeeping definitely needs to change their name....to GREAT HOUSEKEEPING. I give this company 5 stars as they not only met my expectations but truly exceeded them! They made my 8 year on stained sofa truly look like NEW and did some kind of magic on my white doggie urine stained carpet that other cleaning companies have tried to clean but never succeeded. They have a wonderful can-do attitude and are true professionals who are respectful, prompt, hardworking, focused on doing the job above and beyond and next step..I'm having them back to work on our hardwood floor stairs for full restoration. An A+ company! read more

John Watt with Good Housekeeping is fabulous! Arrived on time and is very professional and friendly. He cleaned my 20 year old sofas and they are almost like new (they are 20 years old after all). I found John through my realtor Greg Celotti (fabulous, fabulous realtor by the way) when I moved to the Peninsula several years ago. I will gladly use John (and Greg) again if/when I have the need. Highly recommend!! read more

I wish there was a 10 star rating to give John at Good Housekeeping. He is reliable, accomdating, reasonably priced and delivers outstanding quality! He cleans our carpets regularly (we have two puppies) and has done marble and tile cleaning and buffing as well as upholstery work. John is professional, honest and conscientious and we often have him come when we are not at home and have never had a moment of concern. You cannot go wrong in retaining John for your carpet, upholstery and/or tile/marble cleaning. read more

John Watt, of Good Housekeeping Redwood City, has been my only carpet cleaner for at least 15 years. That alone says a lot. Not only does he do an excellent job cleaning my carpets, at very reasonable rates, (through two teenagers in the beginning and now two adults and two very hairy and "accident prone" dogs), but yesterday he came out and cleaned my heating system air ducts for the second time. Prior to air duct cleaning, I could be assured of a weeklong headache from the dust once the heater was turned on for the first time in the Fall. NOT ANYMORE! There are two reasons I keep calling Good Housekeeping: one is the quality of his work; John keeps my carpets looking beautiful and smelling clean. He has even taken my area rugs to his shop for dip in his big cleaning tub and I have never been disappointed; and the second is because of John, himself. He is one of the nicest guys around, always pleasant and respectful and I can depend on his promptness, attention to detail and honesty in telling me if what I want is feasible or will be in my best interest. Yes, he actually has convinced me that what I think I want will not serve me well. In this business climate, it is hard to find someone who will give up an opportunity to perform work, especially if it is in their best interests. I have and will continue to recommend John to anyone who asks me and find comfort in knowing that when I need anyone to perform the services he provides I know who to call. read more

John and his company Good Housekeeping are the best! He handles all size jobs and is always happy to come and give an estimate. They do exceptional work in all aspects of cleaning; i.e., carpets, hardwood floors, windows, etc. If something isn't as was expected they come back out immediately. John personally cleaned the same area of my carpets with pet stains repeatedly and they always looked amazing. Competitive prices too :) read more

John Watt has been providing carpet and window cleaning services for 20 years or so, first in Redwood Shores and since 2011 in Foster City. He and his staff are absolutely delightful. Professional, on-time and a joy to have in my home (unlike some service providers who end up being more trouble or scary than it is worth). On top of everything else, he is very reasonable and accommodating with scheduling. John always does the work himself and occasionally brings very nice associates for a big job. I couldn't ask for better service or a nicer team! read more
