I did not get any services done at this salon but I did buy Aveda's hair spray from them. The hair spray stopped working after a few times so I went to the salon to get it exchanged. They refused since it had been used. They were very rude about it. I knew Aveda would stand by their product so I contacted them and they sent a new one. In the same visit I was going to get a bang trim. The receptionist had to ask about the price and when she told me I was shocked by how much they would charge for bangs. The place is nice and clean and the staff are very professional and take their time for your hair needs. I got booked at the earliest convenience and had Tram do my hair. She was very attentive and did my hair to the best of how I wanted, reference and all. I was willing to drop so much just to get my rustic Asian hair to a soft blush and it was less and a perfect cost! Don't complain that coloring is "too expensive" if you aren't considering how your hair is, the color you want, and the style. Stylist was extremely unprofessional and passive aggressive when a miscommunication was had about the style I wanted. I overheard her loudly complaining in the back and made me feel awful for trying to stand up for myself and be assertive about I wanted from the appointment. The final balayage/ombré was very poorly blended and now I've been left with a haircut that makes me miserable to look in the mirror instead of the confidence I wanted for the summer. I am new to Georgia and really look for Yelp reviews on where I go. The reviews for this salon are impressive as well as the colors that have been done to clients hair. I booked my appointment thru the Yelp app and they are VERY responsive. I also took my two year old and even though it's a salon so it isn't kid friendly with stuff to do, no one seemed to mind my two year old. Very comforting. I had Nikki who did a great job with the highlights and the cut. She was very attentive with helping my daughter be comfortable with putting on a movie. I wanted a bright vibrant color, red. She mixed pink and red which is why I think the color didn't come out as vibrant as I had liked. After going home and doing my hair I would typically wear it, I contacted the salon and was able to get back in to get a color retouch. I was pleased up until the point I returned to have my hair redone. I waited 10min only to find out Nikki wasn't coming in to food poisoning. I understand we all get sick but a person knows well before their first appointment at 10:30am if they are making it in or not. So I was upset that I find out at 10:40am she isn't coming in to fix my hair. Thankfully the other stylists are nice and Tram stated she would fix it. I felt bad that she was now taking on another persons fix up. She was very sweet and she did a great job with the retouch as well as my hair style! I have drove past this salon several times, but did not decide to give to try it until now. I am so happy I did because I am super impressed with Travis and his team. It has been a while since I decided to get my hair cut. I had split ends and my hair was so unhealthy. It was time for a trim and new style. My stylist was Thanh. He was very knowledge about how I should cut my hair and style it. Awesome personality as well. He can listen to you talk for hours. He ended up cutting my hair by giving me long layers with the dound shape, feathered to the back. He also gave me layers to frame my face. He turned my dull boring hair into something so shiny and beautiful. I am so pleased with his work. It has been a long time since I actually loved my hair cut. Updated review: I went back to get my haircut fixed after the salon manager reached out. Communication with this salon is so easy and quick. They were able to accommodate me easily. They really care about the customer and was you to be happy with the hairstyle you leave with. Travis was my hairstylist this time. He was very kind and polite. I showed him a picture of the cut I was trying to achieve and he replicated it perfectly. I also wanted my hair to be thinned out, which the previous stylist was unwilling to do. He did exactly that as well. He understood that my hair was very thick and I very much appreciate it because I was starting to get headaches from the weight of my hair when I put it up, which is why I went to get a haircut in the first place. And finally my hair has beautiful and sleek layers! I really liked this cut by Travis. She was also very knowledgeable with the products that she was using on me. Exceeded all of my expectations. I was VERY hesitant to come here at first because my last Aveda salon experience was such a disaster (spent $250 on a spotty cheetah ombré job that had to be fixed elsewhere). But this was so close and convenient during my errand day that I just went for it because it had 5 stars. Travis was very accommodating. I messaged the salon and he responded very quickly! On the day of, my dentist appointment had run late, but he was still super nice and saved me my time slot even though I became a "walk-in" case. I was tired of my fast growing roots and brassy ombré hair so I told Travis I wanted a chocolate brown without it looking jet black (another past traumatizing hair experience). He told me not to worry and showed me some hair swatches. It came out exactly like what I wanted, and I always hate dark hair. He graciously trimmed my split ends and my total came out at $125 and I was only at the salon for an hour and a half! I will definitely return to this salon for future hair projects. I made an appointment for heavy foils all over and asked for ashy-blonde and came out with brassy yellow hair that looked nothing like the pictures I'd provided. The guy also completely ruined my previous lowlights (he didn't use foils the first time at all!) I went home thinking a few washes with purple shampoo would help - it didn't, so I called back to tell them I was displeased, in which they made me pay again and my hair still looked brassy-yellow. Not only did I waste $270 but I also wasted 8 hours of my time. *I have a baby, 8 hrs wasted is incredibly inconvenient. Finally, I decided to go back to my normal hair stylist -who now lives 7 hours away but hair is important! She was devastated at the condition of my hair color. My first visit here Ashley took care of me. My hair was an orange brown color so I asked for color correction and a subtle ash blonde balayage. The first time it came out darker than I wanted. I asked her if she could lighten my hair up just a tad bit and she did my hair all over again without hesitation. She spent a lot of time on my hair and it came out great! I was so glad she did not rush the process and I got the exact color I wanted. The color was BEAUTIFUL! She really knows what she's doing. I was so nervous since I haven't gone light in so long nor have I ever gotten a balayage but Ashley did a wonderful job. I came back for a second visit to go even lighter (it becomes an obsession, really) as well as get a hair cut but this time I was booked with Thanh. He is super nice and really puts in great care and detail into your hair. The color came out a lighter blonde balayage and I absolutely loved it. He also is one of the rare stylists that actually cut the length you ask for. Not only that, he really takes care of you. He asked me about my ear piercings in case they were new, he did not want to tamper with it. He also washed my hair out extremely gently and gives a very relaxing scalp massage omg I almost fell asleep!!! For the amount of effort that goes into your hair and the end results, the prices cannot be beaten. Ashley charged me only $190 for my root lightening and balayage on my hair and thick extensions. Thanh charged me $170 I believe to get a blonder balayage and hair cut. Needless to say, the prices are amazing, affordable, and well worth the services provided. (Plus cheaper service leaves room for more generous tips! ) This salon is so underrated and I highly recommend you check it out. read more

I just did the full keratin treatment at Bio Salon & Ashley Tomlinson did a wonderful job! They use the Keratin Complex brand which I'm pretty sure is formaldehyde free & doesn't smell as strong as some other brands. I've gotten a treatment before a few years ago and the results were not what I desired. I decided to try it again since I want to keep my hair long and my hair needed some loving. Even with my hair down to my waist, she had me in and out in just over 2 hours without taking any shortcuts. She knew what she was doing & the results reflected that. The pricing with the small trim came in at $220 which is right on point. Other salons try to excessively overcharge me with the length of my hair so I appreciate that they didn't. This was my second appointment with Travis. The first time my hair was amazing. Grew out beautifully, loved the color and cut. My second visit was less than stellar. My hair when styled and down looks great albeit not what I asked for (last image is what I was going for) but when pulled back I was able to see how terrible the roots around my face looked. It didn't blend well with the ash blonde color. There is not enough toner in the world to fix that. He told me they were "the coarse baby hairs around my face" like that was an explanation. I had already mentioned that it wasn't as blonde as I would have liked. He told me it would look better in the natural light. So twice I mentioned that I wasn't 100% pleased. When it became clear that he wasn't going to do anything to rectify the situation I gave up. After 4 hours and almost $300 later (including a $40 tip) I slept on it, washed it and was still unhappy. I made an appointment with Area 4 salon and Charity fixed me right up! Talked to me about what I wanted, told me every product she was using and walked me through the styling. She also blew the front dry to make sure I loved it before finishing. On another note, had my hair been amazing I would have overlooked the other issues with the salon. It's not the salon vibe that I'm used to. It's not very clean, no music playing, the staff really didn't seem like they were enjoying their day and not once in the 4 hours I was there did he ask me if I'd like a drink or anything. Again, not a huge deal but take some pride in your salon. Clean your bathrooms up, hang your license up on the wall and maybe show up on time when you had an appointment at 1pm! And when a customer that is paying you for a service expresses displeasure maybe offer to fix the situation or perhaps a partial refund. None of those options were offered to me so I left unhappy and have now spent well over $500 to have my hair fixed. This may not be the norm for Travis but it definitely was not a great experience for me. Edited to respond to the owner. We didn't not discuss it taking 2 appointments my hair has gone blonde in one sitting. If that was the case then why didn't he say "let's get you scheduled soon to go blonder or let's fix what we can" if someone isn't happy with their hair you can't just say "oh well" and shrug it off. Where was the effort to take pride in your work or to satisfy a a client that is paying good money for a service? So my hair is super long and has lots of split ends, the easiest solutions to this is to cut off a couple of inches. I decided to visit Bio Salon cause fellow yelper like Diana T. and Anh B. recommend this salon and I'm super glad they did. Thanh was my hair stylist and he did an amazing job! Thanh listens to what I wanted and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it; not too short and not too long. Besides the hair cut, he also gave me an amazing scalp massage when washing my hair. I went in for a more neutral, cool color. Travis told me it would wash me out, so still did the blonde that has more of a gold tinge to it that does not go well with my complexion. At first I thought it would be ok, but when I'm in the daylight, it looks kind of brassy. I told him to only "tip" the ends since I wanted to keep my hair long. My hair is fine and layering has to be light or my hair looks really thinned out and choppy. He put in a bunch of layers on side and it's quite a bit shorter. When it is straight after showering, you can see it is choppy and uneven in the back with all the wispy layers hanging down. .. I have to use rollers on it to try to hide the unevenness. When I checked out, there was just a total without a breakdown. I was really surprised at the total. I had bought product, so knew it would be more. My receipt was emailed and that's where I got to see the breakdown. I expected the $257 for cut and color. However, he had added in a "product fee" of 8.19 and charged $31 for a 4.3 oz bottle of texture tonic! $31!!! This was really something..."The Experience Fee" 4% so $10.61. When he styled it, and had it all curled up, I didn't realize how bad the cut was till after I washed it, so I had given him a $55 tip. So grand total of $363.82 for something that is going to take a while to grow out. Bummer! read more

I was hesitant to write this review because of all the condescending responses to negative reviews, but I feel it's my obligation to let people know about my experience. I have curly dark brown hair and I had been nervous to get my hair dyed because of other bad hair experiences. I researched for days until I came upon Aveda salon. I read reviews and saw photos similar to what I wanted so I booked an appointment with Travis who is the owner and "master stylist." I went in for my consultation and we decided on a balayage look. I went in for my appointment and it should've been a red flag when Travis wanted me to remind him what we had decided to do with my hair. Why have a consultation if you're not even going to remember what the client wanted done? We proceeded with my hair and I noticed Travis was bleaching really high up (weird, because I specifically said I wanted my roots to remain dark,) again, this was another red flag, but I decided to trust my "master stylist." He then recruited help from another stylist who bleached one side, while he bleached the other side. A few hours and a few hundred dollars later it was all done. It looked nice when he styled it, but I knew immediately that it wasn't what I asked for. I didn't say anything and I went home to further examine. YALL. This man gave me chunky, uneven highlights which was my initial major concern. I showed family members and they all agreed that I should call back and have them fix it. I called back with my concerns and Travis had me come back in. He did make it less uneven and he darken my roots, but he didn't even take the time to blend it. It's been two years and I still have not worn my hair straight because at least my curly hair hides the imperfections. I know that the owner will reply back with a condescending response saying that I'm not a real customer or that I asked for highlights, but PICTURES DON'T LIE. No self respecting salon owner and stylist would ever let someone leave their salon looking like this. He knew it was bad and still let me leave. I didn't want highlights, but if it had at least been done well, I would've let it slide. To say that I won't be back is obvious. My goal here is to inform potential customers who they would be doing business with if they choose to get their hair done here. read more
