Binny's Oak Brook isn't too far from the main mall area. The inside is very bright and well organized. They also have a good sized event space in the back of the store. I visited for their Pacific Northwest Wine Tasting. The event is $10 a person and lasts two hours. Each location's wine management staff selects what wines are included in the tasting and can range from $10-$50. This tasting had a variety of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Merlots from Washington & Oregon. They have a charcuterie board with crackers, meat, and cheese to snack on as well as water. Love this location! It has a huge selection, biggest I've seen in a Binny's. A customer in front of me walked in & said "What is this, Walmart?" I had to laugh cuz it made sense. They have a wide variety & stock of almost anything you're looking for as far as wine, spirits, or beer. They even have a walk in humidor room for those who don't know and a walk in room for exclusive, more expensive bottles if you wanna get fancy. Binny's is my go-to liquor store! This Oak brook location is one of my favorites. Their prices are great, the selection is impressive, and the customer service is amazing. Occasionally, I go in knowing that I can ask questions and get really good feedback. The staff at Binny's are very knowledgeable with the products they sell. I used to just get advice whenever I had to buy wine or champagne since I don't really drink much of either. In more recent years, the employees at Binny's have helped me select anything from a craft beer to small batch bourbon. On Saturdays, they usually have a couple little tasting tables. Sometimes they host other events that promote their products. You can find details on the store website. Earlier this year, I stopped in to pick up some drinks for St. Patrick's day. It was so festive. There were bagpipers performing and there were several tasting tables that also had little tchotchke giveaways. (Yes, I had to look up the spelling of tchotchke. lol) The Jameson table gave away stickers, beaded necklaces, etc. However, with a purchase, they offered free engravings on your bottle of Jameson. The lady who did the engraving did a really nice job and even put a cute little shamrock next to the name I chose. After I turned the corner, I was greeted by a super friendly lady at the Guinness table. She was about to sell me on her products, then noticed I already had a case of Guinness in my cart. lol She had at least one other beer on the table and offered to make me a mini Blacksmith (Guinness and Smithwick's). I've had this before, but kind of forgot about it. It was actually better than I remembered, so I added the case of Smithwick's in my cart. In case you're curious, there's also another option called half and half (Guinness and Harp). We ended up chatting a little bit about the new Guinness brewery in Chicago. Then, before you know it, I'm asking if I can take a picture of her (and her table) to post on Yelp. It turns out she didn't mind at all. I hope she sees this post and remembers our fun little chat. So Cinnamon Levy, if you're out there, I dedicate this post to you! lol She's a brand ambassador for ARAS and absolutely represented them well with her dynamic personality. I was in Oak Brook from out of town and wanted to bring some local brews back to Ohio with me, I was very pleased with the selection of Chicago and Illinois brews available in their make your own 6-pack section. Binny's is always great. This is the second largest Binny's in IL. This location is massive with plenty of free parking. This location is near the mall but avoids all the additional congestion. I stopped here to grab a few essentials for our bar. Also hard to get mini liquor bottles in Chicago. They are not allowed to sell the mini's unless in a pack. Boo!!! Anyway I was also in need if Tequila, ginger beer and some Prosecco. I was able to replenish my bar and learn more about new products. Several tasting going on. My favorite was probably the funny water, even though the ABV is so low. Also ran into a Wine expert who recommended Livio Felluga which is a Pinot Grigio out of Italy. Snapped that photo for future purchase. Also discussed another favorite of the wine expert and she recommended Mary J Blige's Prosecco and Pinot Grigio. I grabbed a bottle of the Sun Goddes Prosecco. Bottle was very pretty and only a few bottle left. Excited to try this one with friends. read more

Severely insulted. We are from Oklahoma visiting family for Thanksgiving. I was told Binny's is the place to go. Once there, I told one of the workers (I believe the manager) that I was looking for a nice bottle of bourbon to open with my family on Thanksgiving. He saw my George T Stagg hat and asked if that's what I was looking for. I said yes, or any other nice bottle. He told me that those types of bottles are kept in the back and only sold by hand to select regular customers. While I understand the logic behind this, I'm from out of state and could never be a regular customer. I've never been told to my face by a liquor store worker that they have what I'm looking for in the back, but I'm not good enough to purchase it. Needless to say, Binny's will not be getting any good reviews to anyone I talk to back home. read more

First, I like this place for the sole purprse that it's clean. Not just physically, but it also smells clean. Don't laugh. What I mean by that is that it's someplace you can take your time in and really "window shop". No need to walk around in a confused state because this store is well-organized and well-stocked. Plus there's helpful employees. Go ahead. Bring the whole family! Make a day trip out of Binnys! Great selection at great prices. The Japanese whiskey I got here was $12 cheaper than the one at Mitsuwa and Tensuke market. I also found some good northeastern IPA here that I haven't seen in a minute. Want a random bottle of wine or some cigars? They got that. Want to try a bottle of vodka that you know won't taste good but think it will just because it comes in a cool bottle and is cheap? They got that too. Tip to Binny's: Not sure if it was just the day that I visited, but please carry some fresh limes and lemon. Binnys! The greatest alcohol emporium that I truthfully know. Prices here are better than your local liquor stores. This store has (almost) everything you want here. Great selection of hard ciders though I wish they carried Smith and Forge. Store is really clean. Staff is friendly too and helpful. Aisles are labeled to enhance your shopping experience too. So if you're looking to stock up on your favorite alcoholic beverages for the holidays, this is the place to go. As a previous reviewer mentioned, its very clean. The employees are incredibly helpful. I was literally asked 3 times by separate employees whether I needed help finding something. I never do, but the gesture is always nice. On a side note, make sure to ask them if the bottle you're purchasing has a holiday gift set. Nice way for people to improve their bar ware without having to spend the extra money. Some of the sets include some nice stuff. They usually also have beer promotions that can get you your choice of peanuts for only a penny with purchase. read more

When they don't, there's someone nearby to help me find a suitable second option. Rain Rain Go Away. Well the rain never went away on Saturday. But that never stopped the wine lovers from coming out and showing up. It was Binny's Anniversary in Oak Brook. The place was packed. There were a few vendors that came out for the tasting. The vendors were set up throughut the store. Everyone with a Binny's Card had to check in at one of the registers to receive a nice size wine glass and wine listing of each vendor. The wine glasses wasn't yours to keep. At the end of tbe tasting all glasses had to be returned back to the front register. The experience was ok. It could of been organized and set up a little better. It was just to clutter in the aisles. There were long lines at each register with people checking out or trying to sign in for the event. I felt that the check in should of been done at the service desk only and not at the registers. It slowed down the process and created longer lines. Some people were just standing around the vendors table like it was a picnic. It delayed the tasting process. Come on now. Get a taste and move to the side. Don't hog up the wine. There was plenty for eveyone. The tasting was from 1PM until 4PM. It gave everyone a fair change to go around and savor each wine. I hope the next event for Thanksgiving will be set up a little better. Even the emoloyee's were walking around a bit confused when you asked them a question read more

This loss location is massive in size and has various wines and vodkas and Tequilas there at your disposal This particular day I was there because they were doing like a customer appreciation no longer as well as an anniversary themed event where you go to the front make sure you are a Binny's member and you get one of their glasses that you have to turn in at the end of the event and you can feel it with several tasting of a various Wines By the vendors that were present on today They gave you a sheet so when you're testing the wild you can check yay or nay if you like that interested in buying it give you a discount if you bought two or more What I didn't like is that the type of wine that I am used to they really didn't have it on hand for me to sample which is more of a sweet wine dessert wines they mostly had chardonnays and really dry wine that had me make undesirable faces when I drink it and it just didn't flow everyone was huddled around when it was several other people behind them wanted to get a taste of everything you had to maneuver around everyone who just stay put standing getting a lesson and Wine But it stopped the natural flow of everything but this is a nice location read more

I'm usually happy with Binny's but not today as I picked up a 6 pack of Lilikoi Kepolo beer and got it home & discovered one of the cans had a hole in it. I called the manager and he told me the only way to resolve my problem was to come in to the store with the whole 6 pack. I'm home and have a party to tend to and don't have time to run back out so it's either I don't drink the beer tonight and bring it back to the store or I lose out on a can of beer. I'm not happy with these options. Just one can of this beer works our to $2.17. They sold me a damaged 6 pack and should have a better resolution. I don't feel that Binny's is standing behind the products they sell. Corporate took the time to get back to me and took care of this matter in a very courteous and professional manner. Binny's helped me coordinate the beverages for our 50th wedding anniversary and the people I dealt with were extremely helpful. I will no longer be supporting this Binny's because of the racist remarks from their employees. Associate Derek stated, "Guess I don't have to go to Roosevelt and Cicero today." The Binny's in Oakbrook is an outstanding location with an extensive selection in all wines and spirits. It is a pleasure to shop at this newer facility, mainly due to the exceptional staff. Anthony (general manager) has put together an extremely knowledgeable team in every department. Joe (spirits consultant) is highly educated in American whisky and has provided extraordinary advice to me in that regard. Jon (wine manager) has unprecendented expertise in both French and American wine. Jorge (customer service manager) is both well informed and accomodating in all areas. "All this drinking gon catch up" I work in the area and who doesn't need a drink right after work, during lunchtime or maybe before going to work (oh you lush) Liquor is section off nicely without any confusion. Every time I've gone here most employees have stopped to say hello and ask if I needed anything. Saturdays seems like the best time to go as I notice it's usually some kind of taste testing going on. (Not just Saturday so you can get lucky on Friday's too) While discussing whiskey & cognac with one employee He directed me to the front to sample what he thought was a better option. Had this not happened I would not have realized how many things you could sample before buying. It's in a display cabinet in the front past the registers and directly to your right (Thank me later) The only gripe I have is with a recent experience with an employee trying to price match ($2 or $3 different I usually don't care but this was a $11 a bottle difference.) After giving the employee the exact name and location of where a bottle of Conjure could be had for less. (Famous Liquor in Lombard) The employee proceed to call and when he got off the line he told me Famous Liquor stopped selling it a few months ago. Although I can't argue with what he was told. I was just there a week ago and was told they ran out the day before and was reassured that it would be restocked soon as they had just ran out. Walked away and was debating on just going back to the Famous Liquor to see if they had restocked the item. After disbelief I asked was it Famous Liquor he called. He then showed me the number. I just so happen to have a business card from the Famous Dave in Lombard which wasn't even the same area code. This is where the employee seemed to be little reluctant to call. After calling He did get a lower price but it was only $8 dollars lower and not $11. At the register although he didn't say anything and marked the bottles down. He had this look like that was mixed between I stole money out of his kids college fund and that he was irritated that he had to waste time saving me a few dollars. This took about 10-15 min to deal with as he dealt with four customers in between the two phone calls. read more

Ranging from a few select IPAs to an impressive wine selection, Binnys of any location has always been a solid delivery. I'm not as avid of a drinker as I used to be, but this place does offer quite a lot that puts many local stores in pretty big competition. This particular location is located due north of Oak Brook Mall right off of 16th Street, and the parking lot is quite large so finding a spot won't be an issue. read more

I called my mom on Christmas and said "Mom, I am a horrific person. I completely forgot to buy my stepdad a gift. What can I buy him?" Mom: "Well, you know he really loves X beer but he can't find it anywhere." We started searching the Binny's website and found that they keep it in stock at our local Binny's. Not only could we order it online but we could place orders for a larger amount than what they have in store. When we went in the store the next day, they only had a single 12 pack even though we had ordered 2; however, the store told us that if we placed an order online, we could get as much in as we liked. Good information for those who like very specific, hard to find beers and want to stock up. This was our first stop in this Binny's and our first stop before two family Christmas events. The store is insanely huge. Probably the largest Binny's I have been to in the suburbs. If we had more space in our home, we probably would have done a lot of stocking up because of some really good prices compared to what we pay at our local stores. I noticed that they have almost any kind of wine or beer you could possibly imagine. My boyfriend made a joke about bringing my stepmom a Kenyan wine since they had recently returned from a trip to Africa. Binny's actually has a section of South African wines! We were so incredibly impressed with the size and the advance ordering. Even though we live really close, we had never been here in the two years we have lived here. Just recently I tried to save some miles and went to Main street liquors in Countryside, as they PRICE MATCH. Guess what - they do not match pricing and we made the trip here for party items. Gotta love this place. It is like a superstore! A majority of the times I have visited, there has been some sort of tasting going on. That's awesome that they do that for the customer. I get that it is a new store, but I hope they continue to do that sort of thing. They have an enormous selection of craft beer, which frankly is all I am concerned about. Stopped by here on Tuesday, I could believe the selection! WOW, GINORMOUS, both in liquor and their humidor. That's where it stopped. I asked the guy behind the counter when I walked if I could go in the humidor, he replied yes. I walked over to it looking at other merchandise as I went and noticed he had followed me over. He unlocked the door and proceeded to follow me in, nice (to answer my questions, right??). NO, the gentleman just plain watched me. I tried asking questions which were answered by a quick hand gesture or a yes or no. He actually followed me thru the humidor, closely. I actually felt like a shoplifter that was about to get caught! Wow. I tried to explain to him who I was and still got the cold shoulder. I asked if there was a cigar specialist, he responded "yes, they are at lunch", nothing more. Again, wow. I made a VERY quick selection and handed it to him so there was no mistake. Got the bag, paid for it and left. I would like to mention the lady at the cash register was their saving grace, she was very polite and tried to engage me in conversation, (my advice, move her to the Humidor, she would be a better salesman than the other guy, cash register operator,) Just goes to show the difference between a cash register operator and a salesman. read more
