Came to this spot on a Katy Asiatown foodie adventure based on the larger than life topped toasts. When we ordered, they let us know it would be at least 15-20min for it to be made, which was fine since we were there to enjoy chatting with friends as well. Once the dessert came out, we were all stunned by its size and over-the-top decadence. This thing was seriously huge! The toast on the outside was a bit hard, but the real winner was the cubed up inside toast that was soft and was mixing with the ice cream, chocolate sauce, and other sugary toppings. Bring a group of friends to try this one! Inside is spacious with lots of room to enjoy their menu, lots of items looked really good so we will have to come back in the future to sample more.
Good food. Cute decor. I believe it's a husband and wife operation so it's a little slow. They are super nice though. I think they changed owners cuz it used to have a lot of Korean foods that I don't see anymore. The cakes are so cute!!
We came for the macarons we saw on Yelp since they're so cute! They did not have the Kirby ones in stock when we came by (after dinner so selection was less than they probably had earlier in the day). We also got the toast bread thing...I don't recall the name but it was really good. We liked all the desserts we had. They weren't overly sweet and were very unique compared to other offerings in the area, so that was cool. The items were on the pricier side, but worth it for the variety of dessert selections. The flavors of the macarons were a very unique combination of flavors that I haven't seen elsewhere (can't recall what they were now) but the boys still ate all of it.
This is really good a little on the spicy side but worth it! The workers are helpful and nice! I would definitely go here again!
We are very surprised by this place, it looks like a place that specializes in bakery, but woah, their food is also great. Presentation is 10/10, taste is 10/10. Definitely get the popcorn chicken, I love that it comes in a mini basket, chicken is crunchy and not too oily. Mala spicy pot is delicious and very spicy. If you come here for lunch, the pot comes with rice and a drink (black or green tea); iced black tea is sweet and refreshing, it goes so well with the spicy hot pot. Reason for only 4 stars is that the music is a little too loud and service is minimum. There are only two staff members, it's hard for them to manage multiple tables.
At one point I feel like I was addicted to this place smh. My addiction was to the strawberry roll coke ($5) and the passion fruit crepe cake ($10). i've only tried the items from the case at the front, but I haven't been disappointed yet. Both items were good! The strawberry roll cake was moist, the filling inside was light, and I really enjoyed the block of strawberry jelly in the middle. You can tell that they use real passion fruit for the topping. The cream in between was super light as well. I'll definitely be back to try some more items!
I go the mango boba cup and I thought the taste was very soft and creamy. However, I'm giving the place four starts because I thought the mango flavor was very subtle. I wish the flavor was richer. I'll be back for the match crepe cake (;

An interesting spot in Katy Asia Town! I thought the food was good (popcorn chicken being the highlight) but not the most amazing stuff you can find in the area. The decor of the cafe is kind of at odds with what they've serving, since stone and metal were not the first things to come to my mind when I heard the name. I have yet to try the dessert toasts but everything else has been good to decent. The staff is very nice and on top of things every time I've visited.
Deserts with good looking but flavorless. Not recommend nor come back again. Worst desert that I ever had. You got extra high calories but no satisfaction. Waste of money and my quota for high-calorie food.
I came here with my friend a couple weeks ago and it was pretty nice! This was my first time here and they weren't too crowded. I ended up getting a slice of the Matcha roll cake and to drink we got the Fresh Fruit Tea and the Yogurt Green Tea. Everything was really good! The cake wasn't too sweet and had a lot of matcha flavor and the drinks were unique and refreshing as well. They also have board games and card games at the front that you can take to your table and play. Unfortunately, we got here around 8pm so there wasn't a lot of time to stay before the place closed. I wish the shops in Katy Asian Town stayed open way later than 9-10pm. I would love to come back and try the other items that they have here! I was looking at the different kind of honey toasts and the other drinks!
The best savory sandwich with thick and soft bread that holds the ingredients so perfectly! The egg is perfectly cooked and yummy! SO PERFECT portion when in between lunch and dinner Still raving over the curry plate and macarons

Oh my gosh. This review is SOLELY ON PASTRY ITEMS ONLY. Idk where their baker came from but they sure know what they are doing!! I bought 4 items but got to try 5, and I kid you not-- every single item I had was absolutely delicious. Nothing was overly sweet or salty or dry. It was baked perfectly, everything was moist and fluffy! (Mind you I do not enjoy overly sweet pastries) The cashier was so kind and welcoming! She suggested me, what is now my favorite pastry from them : Pork Sung Taro Cake! I absolutely cannot wait to come back and try more items, and now that they have Taiwanese Hot Pot... oh my gosh! Pork Sung Taro Cake : 10/10 (Slightly sweeten gooey Taro Center, topped with a savory pork floss sponge cake) White Rabbit Sponge Cake Roll: 8/10 (Very fluffy, super light, creamy vanilla tasting center) Kinako Powdered Sesame Round Cake: 9/10 (Sesame is fluffy and airy, the sponge cake is super soft and moist, like melt in your mouth kine! Lightly sweetened) Yellow creamy Cake Roll (sorry idk their real names lol) 9/10 (Almost like a egg custard but soft filling form, very creamy and soft) Earl Grey Milled Crepe: 10/10 This one is my 2nd favorite, the EARL GREY TEA flavor is ON POINT. Staff was really friendly and accommodating and it's a pretty nice place to just chill and eat hotpot or dessert. I came in on a Sunday around noon to grab some dessert to dine in! Walking in, you see some display cases with fresh cakes and pastries! We ordered a pork floss cake, a matcha swiss cake, and a caramel swiss cake. The pork floss cake surprised me! It had mochi, taro, pork floss, cream, and sponge cake. It wasn't too sweet and was just right! The matcha swiss cake was good too! The caramel Swiss was sweeter. I wished it had some crunch in the cream but otherwise, it was delicious. They serve hotpot as well but I didn't try that. They do have wifi, though I'm not sure if it would be an ideal place to study as they also operate as a restaurant. Overall, I quite like this place. It's a humble cafe in a big plaza with lots of dessert options. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. I'm not too sure if I will make the drive out here tho if I'm it's not on the way, but I definitely recommend trying at least once. read more
I placed an order for Uber eats and had a taste for something sweet. I ordered the taro milk tea with boba and the mango Bobo cup. The taro boba milk tea was amazing.. perfectly sweet and milky! The mango Bobo cup was pretty good but not my favorite. It was not too sweet but the heavy whipped cream was a bit too much for me. Nonetheless I had an awesome experience and will definitely be back to try more of their food! read more

I needed to buy a slice of cake for someone and what I initially thought was $7 a slice ended up being $10. Seriously?! I would have never paid $10 for a stinking little slice of mango cake but I was in a rush and did not have time. While the flavors were good and the cake was light and fluffy, it was nothing spectacular to rave about. They do have some very cute designs and interesting cake rolls. Their drinks looked pretty cool as well. But again, I feel ripped off and it's not a good feeling. read more

What's up Yelp fans and family!!! Who loves desserts and street food...me!! I am so happy to know that Katyians has another new spot in Katy Asian Town. This place opened up on New Year's Day 2022. I must say, if you love flavorful desserts that is not overly sweet, then come check them out. They have a variety of choices. The boba drink was ok, as I feel it is missing some more flavor, including the tapioca. Other than that, the rest was great. I was not able to try their street food, but I saw others devour their meal (lol), so come check them out and help support local business owners. ChowChow Time!! read more

Cute cafe! They serve dessert and street food. (8.5/10). Ordered freshly made cake and it was good! (Matcha and strawberry). Some of their menu items may take 30+mins to make so make sure to ask! Food was good too! (7/10). It was hot and tasty. Ordered takoyaki, onion ring and popcorn chicken. Food was displayed 10/10. (Reference the picture). Atmosphere 10/10. Music was not too loud. Very clean inside. The Kaws statue 10/10!!!! The cafe gave of restaurant AND cafe vibes. Service 10/10. One of the ladies made sure we knew what they served and was very welcoming! One thing is that I wish there was either a self-serve water station or easier access to water or water that's served with some of the menu items (esp the street food). It was very busy and the water cup is small and we didn't want to keep bothering them for water! read more
Not a fan. Crepe cake came with a lot of layers yet barely any cream in between, making the cake taste thick and dry. Basque cheesecake was ok. Not a fan of the mousse and the pretzel seems awkward. Worst of all, the raspberry that came on top of the cheesecake (not pictured) was moldy by the next morning, indicating that it's not fresh. read more

I loved visiting this new cafe in Katy Asian Town! The variety of cakes, drinks, and snacks definitely amazed me! I loved their Swiss roll and crepe cakes - they were so soft and fluffy and weren't too sweet . Be sure to order ASAP if you would like any of the Brick Toasts. I am impressed with this little cafe. My friend and I wanted good tea and didn't enjoy our tea at another shop nearby. Popcorn chicken was perfectly seasoned and it seems they use a mentaiko mayo which uses some roe. I could be wrong but I saw orange circles in the sauce and I honestly loved it with the chicken. Fruit tea was bomb dot com. I'll come back to try the entrees next time and write a more thorough review. Only problem I had was the price for drinks. It was about $5-$6 for a small cup of tea which is normally a large at other boba shops. read more

We came here wanting a quick snack before a movie showing. However this was before we knew they changed a lot of their menu, so items like egg drop sandwich and katsu dishes were not available anymore. Their specialty is individual hot pot which looked good in the photos but we didn't have time for a large lunch. Hopefully I can try it another time! We ordered their spicy chicken sticks and takoyaki. The batter of the spicy chicken sticks were crispy and coated with oregano, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Spice was mild. It included a spicy mayo dipping sauce but it more mayo than it was spicy. The takoyaki was actually decent considering this isn't a Japanese restaurant. It was crispy, had a lot of bonito flakes, and had the right amount of sauce. The strawberry Swiss cake roll, and magnum chocolate Swiss cake roll were spongy, soft, and not too sweet. However most of the filling was in the center. Would much preferred the filling to be evenly dispersed throughout the roll. They had more desserts like cakes and their character macaroons that I def got to try next time. read more

So far, they are the only restaurants I know to serve individual hot pot ( or one-person-hotpot) in Katy. I have to say I love it, usually I have to drive 30 minutes to China Town, but this place has better hot pot, so why I have go that far anymore? They're are the hidden gem in the Katy Asian Town. Also, don't forget to try their cake and dessert too. Highly recommended. read more

If you're looking for a place to stop by for a sweet treat, Bingo Cake cafe serves, cakes, drinks, and snacks. My fiancé and I tried their Thai Tea crepe cake and Passion Fruit crepe cake during our visit, and we liked that both cakes weren't overly sweet. The cakes tasted exactly like Thai Tea and Passion Fruit, and were light and airy. The cakes are definitely on the pricey side, but crepe cakes are generally very time consuming to make, so I feel like the price is justified. I'll definitely be back to try some more of their cakes in the future, as well as some snacks! read more

I spent over 100$ for just a cake and coffee taste is okay but customer service are so so bad . I didn't say they say hello or thank you really ackward when I went inside the store and don't even get thank you why ?? Place is so fancy and food look great but people ??? read more
