This little cafe is a lovely addition to gentrified Amagerbrogade. What used to be a glum-looking bodega is now turned into a beautiful bright cafe that serves baked goods, coffee, brunch and wine. Perfect.
We went here on a very sunny morning to get our brunch and was surprised to see how beautiful this place has become. The menu isn't long, but we'd like to keep it short. Besides, with the now-plentiful mix-it-yourself brunch places in Copenhagen, it's best to stick to the classic ones.
We took our seats in the sun (and how wonderful it was!) and ordered for a flat white with oat milk for me, cappuccino for him. A soft-boiled egg, a toast with comté cheese, ham and Bornholm mustard and a croissant for us each. The croissants were definitely to die for.
The service was on point, and the prices were Amager standard, so it was the best from both worlds. This place is not trying to be hipster or trendy, like other places in the city, and less crowded as well, but we know it's the locals who come here and perhaps it's best that way.
This wouldn't be our last time for sure, and we're happy to see many more cute places like this on our beloved island. read more
