The most rude and dismissive attitude from the manager of this restaurant! When I walked in this man asked, "can I help you" as m standing next to the "wait to be seated" sign. I said, I'd like to be seated, 2 of us. He was dismissive as he said, "wait for the hostess!" Which was what I was clearly doing. And then he walked away shaking his head angrily. Evidently with his rude and inappropriate attitude, this job is too much for this man to handle. I will not be returning . read more

I came here with my friend for breakfast on his recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Though it took a bit of time to get here going over country roads, our appetite was big when we arrived. The setting is a casual restaurant, and the staff is friendly. They specialize in homemade, thick-cut bread which is used for toast and French Toast. I ordered a meal with homefries, bacon, scrambled eggs and toast. It came out quickly and was hearty. The homefries were a golden bronze color and seasoned with salt, but were very soft. They looked like they should be crispy but sadly they were not. The eggs were fine, and the bacon was chewy instead of crispy (which I understand some people prefer... next time, I will specify crispy bacon). The toast was indeed thick cut and very tasty with butter. The orange juice I ordered looked to be at least 12 ounces, which was a nice change of pace from the usual small glasses that most places serve. On the way out, I saw their lovely pies. I wanted to get one to bring home but the prices weren't marked. They had tags like "349" and "350" which seemed pretty cheap for homemade pies. When I asked at the register what the numbers meant, I was told that these were the days of the year when the pies were made. They were to track freshness. I never asked about the price of pies, they never offered that info or asked if I was interested, and thus I never bought one. I would love to go back to this place. read more

Awful, just awful. Very sad to see this happen to what was once a fantastic restaurant. I write this review with a heavy heart since I've been eating at this restaurant my entire life. It was always a regular stop on road trips that everyone looked forward to. That is no longer the case. This was the third and final strike for me. Even though the last two stops were abysmal I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided not to post a review or write them off completely, which in hindsight was a big mistake. The third and final meal was just as bad as the previous two. Not sure what happened, but the only thing good remaining about this place is the name which they are quickly destroying. read more

Huge menu. Friendly service. Kitchen was pretty fast with restaurant half full. Excellent Philly steak and onion rings. The sauce served with it is delish. Light serving of chicken and biscuits is plenty of food and very good. The butternut squash is so, so tasty!! read more

We're so sad. What a bust, lol! Specifically went for a "pie run" Sunday evening with my 93 year old Dad. My daughter sat with a cup of hot water for a solid 10 minutes before the waitress remembered she still had the tea bags in her apron pocket. So she had cold tea. My glazed strawberry pie was more Jell-O than strawberry pie. It certainly wasn't "glazed." (Ah, Franklin's where art thou?) My daughter ordered Banana Cream Pie. What came out was actually a very yellow colored coconut. Which she DESPISES, lol. (I thought it was a lemon.) Then, by the time we got the waitress's attention, told her about the mistake, she went back and found out they were out of banana, and my daughter ordered and received a slice of peanut butter cream, everyone else was done. Good times. ‍ What happened to this place? On an up note; the peanut butter pie was phenomenal!! read more

Sometimes I wonder if I am wearing a Kick Me sign. Met a friend at Bingham's restaurant today and was early. You have to wait to be seated. Stood there for what felt like ages with everyone ignoring me. (Standing is not easy for me with my lower back situation). Finally I hailed a waitress and said, "Can I sit down?" Unsmilingly, she said yes. Sat down in a booth and no one came to see if I wanted anything to drink. Time passed with the waitress waiting on newer arrivals but finally she asked (unsmilingly). Friend arrived and joined me. The waitress continued to ignore us while waiting on other people over and over (even newer arrivals). There was a young man delivering food to tables so I hailed him and said, "Can we order?" He took our order (and mine was complicated since I was adding on a pie and dinner for my hub) without writing anything down. He brought it all. Regular waitress still ignored us then finally asked my friend if she wanted something to drink. I have never been fond of this restaurant and this just solidified it. Though the pie is good and the girls in the front (where you pay or buy pie) are friendly. The coleslaw is really good. read more

My boyfriend and I are frequent flyers! Very home-like atmosphere. The bread/buns they bring to the table are amazing, but they don't always bring them out. Food is great, service is super friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. Definitely recommend if you'd like some homey/comfort food! read more

Place you look for on a long road trip. Huge menu, country-style dining. Friendly service, big lot, in-and-out service, fairly priced. read more

The customer service at Bingham's has really gone down the tubes, I have been here several times in the past few months and waited at the front lobby for the hostess to take my name. Meanwhile several people have walked right past me. My boyfriend is black and also 6'5 so we're not invisible, makes you wonder! Very disappointed in this all. read more

Their food is yummy! Irene, our server, is always very pleasant and prompt with refills and checking on the table. I always leave rolling out the door with a full stomach. Sometimes, I take a slice of pie to go and have it with my coffee the next morning for breakfast. read more

Sorry Obama but this place does not get my vote. Service was friendly, courteous and efficient. The food just didn't do it for me. My homemade stuffed peppers were bland. The homemade seafood lasagna was overwhelmingly creamy filled with frozen seafood. The country style apple pie was cold and did not taste fresh. It is a very convenient stop as it is on and off route 81 but I will choose a service area over it next time. read more

Delicious rhubarb pie and other pies too. Good take out service and customer service too.

Wonderful family restaurant! Tasty food, caring staff. A great place to talk, enjoy a tasty homemade meal, and catch up with friends and family. Highly recommend! read more

We frequently stop here to grab something to eat. The last 2 times we have had dirty silverware and asked to have it replaced. Yesterday we stopped by and we're so disappointed. My husband had the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy. No gravy on the bottom of the sandwich and the gravy was like jello, overly thick with no taste and cold. I ordered onion rings, I assumed they were hot, they were cold. The French fries were hot and cold...some hot some cold. To top it off, the boneless wings were so overcooked there was no chicken left inside and they were a crispy hard mess....and salty! Wow the salt was awful. We are what we could and got out of there. Not sure what's happening here lately but their food is going downhill fast. We have eaten here many times in our travels and after yesterday we are taking a break from this place. read more

Stopped while waiting for accident on 81 to clear. Cute, clean. Food needs some flavor, hubby turkey dinner had no poultry seasoning, gravy flavorless, my chicken pot pie was bland, had to ask for extra gravy as it was dry...chicken, green beans, peas & carrots with a tablespoon of tasteless gravy with a puff pastry crust. Unsweet tea was good. Now for the bakery!!! The choc chip cookies are to die for, table breads were ok. We had no time for desserts at the table but pies look great. I doubt we'd stop again but it seems very popular with locals. This was an adequate stop but I'm wondering if the Lucas diner next door would be tasty? read more

First time visiting from locally. Used to hear bad reviews, friends recently gave great ones. Very happy I gave this place a try! Absolutely delicious, super friendly & great service! Definitely will return! I tried the stuffed strawberry French toast and I loved it. Cream puffs & baked goods are what they are known for. You will regret it if you don't try the cream puffs! read more

Consistently good at Bingham's. Normally get a bowl of soup and a half sandwich but this last time got a bowl of soup and a cup of chili and it was great too. I've gotten the chicken pot pie and it was delicious, but sadly I only ate about a quarter of it and don't get back to it. read more

One of my favorite places for a home cooked meal... love the pot roast, Turkey with stuffing is amazing . All their desserts are so yummy

Best homemade lunch! Everything was delicious, fresh, clean, friendly, and sweet staff. Service was fast and just lovely.

After a long weekend of traversing some of the harshest wilderness the great state of Pennsylvania has to offer, I once again had that all too familiar craving for the one soup the french have perfected. I spotted this diner immediately off of the interstate and promptly pulled into the parking lot, and placed my order. When the soup arrived at my table, I had observed that the soup was lacking in its curb appeal. Being the renowned gastronomist that I am, I bravely pressed on. The cheese while not plentiful or crispy was good. The broth was surprisingly exquisite, however one entire onion seems slightly excessive for an individual soup. Overall I have to give this particular soup 3 stars which is quite the accomplishment coming from refined taste buds such as my own. The service was good. read more

We hit this little spot on our way to Niagara Falls. It was a good points in our trip to grab a bite to eat and we had seen some pretty great reviews online about their pies. I'm not particularly into pies as a desert but I have to say this is the only pie that I have eaten a slice and its entirety typically I will just pick a little bit at the inside filling and hate crust, but everything about their apple pie was absolutely delicious. A nice touch was defeated up in the microwave and add a little ice. We have tried peanut butter-filled one during our stop and had a full breakfast / lunch there. But then my husband had some pie regret and wanted to pick up an apple pie on our way home to bring home. Since it is in fact known as their specialty oh, I agreed and we brought the pie home. I ate more of that pie than I care to admit. The crust wasn't too hard. And everything was so delicious! Definitely check this place out!! read more

Today my son took me to Bingham's for brunch/lunch. We're very familiar with Bingham's & have always had great food here. It's like eating at your grandmas or eating at your moms house. As always, the food was beyond good! My son had breakfast and I had the Chicken & Biscuits! Love . Of course we ordered boneless wings to take home for dinner, a ton of leftovers and dessert. Score! But here's what I really want the owners of Bingham's and the public to know....today I saw humanity and compassion for people making a comeback! I saw waitresses, managers, hostesses, and kitchen staff genuinely happy to see each other! There were bright hellos, hugs, and "where do you need me". They are short staffed so you do need to give your name to the hostess and wait 10 minutes or so for a table. You know what? Not one of the customers got loud, complained, got testy, or laid blame! It was epic! Remember when everyone was pleasant to each other? Remember when people genuinely cared about their co-workers? Remember when your boss valued you? I do! If you want to witness that again go to Bingham's & drink in the atmosphere. I promise it is uplifting. XXOO read more

Although the staff is very friendly and it does feel like a home cooked food type of place, the pot roast came out without anything on it. Generally when I think of a pot roast it comes along with carrots potatoes and other vegetables in a gravy. The broiled haddock was just okay. I was really surprised the onion soup literally had no flavor whatsoever. Maybe it was just an off night. This place does seem to have decent reviews. the desserts do look amazing. They have a lot of homemade pies. Not sure if we're going to actually have any though? We haven't finished eating yet. read more

Wow! That place is fantastic. We stopped for lunch, yesterday, while taking my brother home to Utica, NY, after a visit for Christmas. Lunch was great, a we all were impressed. We stopped, again, today, on the way home, and it was just as good. Great menu, with lots of choice, and really low priced lunch specials. This will become a regular road trip stop for us! I had to edit. We are back in the car. My son got a cream puff to go, as we were leaving. He ate half, and gave the rest to me, before pulling out of the parking lot. I'll be 70 in 3 months, and just ate the best cream puff in my entire life! We also bought a lemon merengue pie, to take home. I hope it is as good! One more edit - we finally got home (miserable conditions on much of I-81) had dinner and tried a piece of the lemon merengue pie - it was as good as I'd hoped. If you are On I-81 in Pennsylvania, near Exit 211, you really need to eat here! read more

If it was any closer to Route 81 it'd be ON the highway. This place is 100% ordinary. Nothing outstanding, nothing bad either. One interesting thing was the bread/rolls they serve before you get your meal, three different kinds, all interesting. Other than that nothing unexpected. I had the Chicken Alfredo Florentine, the alfredo was actually kind of thin, but I had asked for "extra florentine" and they did put a big splotch of spinach in the middle for me. He had the haddock and was satisfied. Salad and soup portions pretty big, and I took home more than half of my dish. Dessert pies were good, they are known for this I believe. Waitress a little "hover-y," but then we were there early, like 4pm (OMG, I'm old!). read more

Very reasonable prices and delicious food. Pies were almost shockingly good; got a slice of the "Fruits of the Forest" pie and the Chocolate Peanut Butter. Both were stellar, though the former was slightly superior. Their pickle fries and grilled cheese (on homemade rye) were also fantastic. French onion soup and Buffalo waffle fries were also great. Absolutely perfect meal to break up a long drive! read more

Amazing breakfast and great service. The pies are so delicious. Almost every table leaves with one

This is a great little place that I'm glad we discovered during our trip back home. While the wait was a little long (we sat down and waited at least 10 mins for anyone to come over)... the waitress was very kind, and even comped our beverage orders for waiting so long, which wasn't needed but was appreciated. We ordered omelettes and a side of hash... everything was tasty, and the coffee was surprisingly good for being a diner. We didn't try any of their desserts but they looked amazing. We would definitely come back here if we are ever looking for a good breakfast! read more

Very friendly folks. Yummy diner food. Excellent variety. Outstanding pies and pastry. Yes, we had it all.

Service is a bit slow but the food is excellent. The pies are the highlight if you manage to save any room.

Doesn't look like much but when we walked in greeted by super friendly staff. Our waitress was there for 20 years and super helpful in recommending items. We ordered the raisin bread French toast with homemade bread. The order came with 3 huge pieces of bread. Yum! The other was the waffle and fried chicken both so crispy! Wished the chicken fingers were bigger. We took home a blueberry pie, so delicious! We were concerned about social distancing and the hostess fitted us in the big corner table. Will be back if in the area! read more

They bring the most delicious bread assortment to the table before your meal. Had chicken potpie, it was hot and scrumptious. Liver and onion came with salad and mash potatoes and gravy. It was big and delicious. Also had chicken parm with pasta and sald. The linguini came with sauce on top, but still found it dry. Overall very good food, service is very good. Our server was on top of things and sharp. Kitchen was quick, we got our food in minutes. After our meal we took apple pie and lemon merengue slices to go. Apple pie is reccomended. Lemon merengue fell appart eating it, not the best tasting either. read more
