In just the 4 days I was in Florida, I came here twice! Living in Louisiana, good South Indian food…read moreis good to come by so we were delighted to find this spot! Our first visit, straight from the airport, we opted for breakfast classics: mysore masala dosa, idly vada combo and Chana poori. My husband and I shared everything and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh, authentic and some of the best tasting SI food we have had in a long time. We finished the meal office by splitting a filter coffee and it was the perfect closing to the meal. On our second visit I wanted more of their delicious sambar so I opted for the sambar vada and my husband orders the chicken curry with paratha. Again, the food was fresh, authentic and tasty. The chicken tasted like a homemade plate and the sambar and vada were piping hot, perfect for a chilly day. My husband even ordered a chicken Kati roll and chicken 65 biryani to take home. Unfortunately their dum biryani is only available a few days a week, so that wasn't an option. He told me that the biryani was good but he would have preferred a dum style and that the chicken in the paratha wrap was tender and flavorful. This place is not fancy. Everything is served in paper plates and you order on a kiosk. This was totally fine with us. The only thing we wished was that the parathas were freshly made, and they appeared to be frozen/manufactured. This does however make sense when you consider the very reasonable cost of their food. They also offer both lunch and breakfast buffets with veg and meat options for under $20. We missed these but would love to come back and try. The staff and service were very warm and caring. I hope more people expand their palates and embrace this place as it offers great service and food at an accessible and affordable price and location.

I can't believe this place has such high ratings. I'm wondering if our experience was an off night…read more First of all, we could see them putting the food from the buffet line into the microwave for dinner. Half of the menu was "out of stock." The samosas we ordered were rock hard on the outside and dry on the inside. All of our entrees tasted like a gallon of salt had been dumped in it. Sad we wasted money on such poor quality food.

I've heard some buzz about Naans and decided to try it out when in the Brandon area recently. I…read moredecided to get takeout and placing the order was quick and easy. Pickup, on the other hand, was a bit of a cluster. I arrived about 10-15 minutes after my order was ready and the first person couldn't find it on their table of takeout orders. I waited patiently, and a second person who came out to assist was able to find it within seconds. The order had been ready, and on the table the whole time. I feel like they need to rethink their order pick up process, given how busy they are with takeout orders. Moving onto the food. I will say this was one of the better Indian places I have had the pleasure of experiencing in the Tampa area. My order consisted of the chicken seekh kebab, chicken tikka masala, and garlic chili naan. The food was packed well and held up on the journey home. The food was also hot when I got home and flavored well. The chicken tikka masala does only come in medium and hot options, and the medium version I got was quite spicey. I'm used to heat and even for me it was a bit on the hotter side. Overall, a great option for this part of town if you can't make it into Tampa for other Indian places.

On my quest to try another Indian restaurant, I found myself in the neighborhood and decided to…read moregive Naans Indian Bar and Grill a try. Hidden back behind another restaurant. It's housed in a former Wendy's restaurant, and I can see why it closed. It had no visibility. The tiny signs on the building for Naans were not legible so unless you knew the restaurant, people just drive by and think it's abandoned. We arrived 30-minutes after opening and there were 2 cars in the parking lot. My first thought was they must do a great takeout. Entering the restaurant, it was nothing fancy. I'm more interested in the food, flavors, and service. The server/hostess was pleasant, but not at all attentive or checked up on us once. I ordered the garlic naan and chicken tikki Marsala. My partner asked which items are vegan, she really didn't know. At Rasoi in Ybor, the server was asked the same question and she immediately pointed out all the vegan items. There were at least eight dishes that were vegan. Only having one choice and waited 15 minutes to order, we were stuck and he ordered the Dal Tudka. The meals were delicious. The sauces and medium spices were perfect in both meals. The garlic naan was perfect for dipping. I liked the chicken was cut into cubes and didn't require a knife. And, the prices were so reasonable for the amount of food you received. My letdowns were the reason for only 3 stars. They had 8 different guests order takeout. The only customer in there when we arrived ordered by phone and waited 30 additional minutes. He said to the owner he left his house 20 minutes after placing his ordering. There were additional wait times for 7 of the 8 people who called in takeout orders. Our wait time was equally long. There seemed to be ample help in the back from where I was sitting. We were in the restaurant for 65 minutes from the time we walked in until the time we left. Nothing screamed ambience, experience, as well as so few orders for this to occur. One of my biggest letdowns in any sit down restaurant, other than a fast food restaurant is bottled drinks. I like water served in a glass, with ice, a straw, and refills. I'd like to say I would give them another chance, but my partner was hellbent not returning due to the 1 vegan option and service. It's a shame such wonderful flavors were overshadowed by less than great service and extensive wait times for us and the guests who ordered takeout.

This is moi fave Indian Restaurant in the Tampa area. They make Authentic Punjabi here…read more They are also the only place I have found that makes the family size Biryani. They also make a shrimp & a fish Biryani here. The garlic naan is the best I have ever had in my life as is the Lamb Saag. It's truly Authentic Pubjabi. They also have a buffet here every day from 11:30 to 2:30 and they also have one on the weekends & are open till 11pm on Saturday OuiOui. The menu is vast, and we have been hitting it hard. Some of our take out dishes were just ok, but most we have tried are 2.DIE.4. The good thing is they will alter the spice level for you so mostly everything we have tried we would order again with a different spice level in the future. We have mostly been getting take out but now that I pretty much know what I want, Im eating it dine in now, so I can get some photos posted of these amazing Authentic Punjabi dishes. I really like the lovely little table by the window with the views of the lake... They even have fresh coconuts here. They chopped one & brought it to me with a straw. My fave. Love fresh coconuts OuiOui :)... I didn't realize that they have several locations in the Tampa area but yes, they do. However, we have only visited this location so far. Added to moi lists of fave restaurants in the Tampa Area. Will Return. Highest Recommendations.

I have wanted to go there for the last year. After an afternoon of shopping in the area, he mentioned he would like to try Indian food again. I was more than good with it. We pulled into the shopping plaza to an unassuming restaurant. The plaza has an Outback and Love's Coffee. Love's is execptional in coffee and tasty foods; Outback is a typical chain. This one is better than most. We arrived after shopping and walked into a restaurant with only one table seated. I must say it was Jan 2. Note: upon leaving, Outback wasn't packed based on the parking lot as we left, and this Outback is always packed. We enter the restaurant with a strong aroma of Indian spices. I did notice a sign by the door to franchise. I'm NOT into reviewing franchised restaurants, but I would bite my tongue and review. We were seated immediately and offered drinks. We both ordered water and I made my way to the bathroom to wash my hands. I returned to see 2 bottled waters from Sam's Club. Indian food has a bite and I knew I would need more than a bottle of water. Our order was taken, Fish 65, Lamb Vindaloo, Lentil Soup and Garlic Naan. I saw an episode of triple D where Lamb Vindaloo was made and I had to try it. The Lentil Soup came out for us to share. He didn't like it at first as he is use to Greek Lentil Soup and not the spice it had. I loved it!! As we slurped it, he grew to love it. The meal then came out, he ordered the Fish 65 and I ordered the Lamb and Naan. Both meals were amazing. The lamb, so soft you could cut with a fork, the sauce had a perfect spice. I ordered medium. The rice was perfectly cooked. My partner loved his fish, so much that he said he would come back, and he is the pickiest of eaters. I tried his entree and the sauce was amazing, I thought it was better than the Lamb Vindaloo sauce. I had two downfalls. Bottled water! When eating anywhere in the US, I like a glass that is filled that I shouldn't have to pay for! . But more importantly, I disliked the guy behind me, who I am guessing works there, on his phone, on speaker, carrying on with multiple conversations. I don't need to hear about your bidness. Tacky at best!
