Is this an Indian food spot inside of a gas station? Yes. Is it at all what you would expect from an Indian food spot inside of a gas station? Absolutely not! This place is amazing! We've been here twice and both times we've been greeted warmly and helped with out food choices by very friendly staff. By the way, the gas station is very well set up inside. Ample seating room. The food spots well separated from the convenience store area. While we waited for our food, the owner came out both times to share some samples of their other delicious dishes. There is not a single thing I've tried from this menu that I haven't loved. Everything from the chicken tills masala and spicy goat curry, to the chicken and noodles and the lentil soup... all of it has been incredible. This is officially our favorite Indian food restaurant in the Riverview area. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and we were happy we did. The service was amazing and the food was incredible. My wife had her favorite chicken fried rice she loved it. She said it was one of the best she has had 9.2. I had the chicken masala with rice it was awesome 9.2 this is a great little gem in the area. If you are hungry stop by and try this place. I am glad that I finally decided to try this restaurant. It is located next to a gas station, so parking is a bit limited. Inside it share space with other 3 restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, coming and checking if everything was fine, and making sure we enjoy our food. The one small down side is that took a bit longer to get our order, but it was because everything is made fresh!! I tried the Aloo Paratha, butter chicken and chicken Tikka pásala, and the paneer paratha. Everything tasted delicious. It was so much food that I had for the next day! I'm definitely going back to try more. read more

A friend and I stopped by Friday 1-9-2026 at about 1:30pm. My friend ordered Mild Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan I ordered Medium Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were very good. We ordered the larger of the 2 sizes and there was plenty, full of chicken and great flavor. I was able to take 1/2 home for dinner, so I was able to get 2 meals from mine. The owner / manager was very pleasant and helpful. I look forward to returning again soon. read more

Last minute my mom and I decided to visit a location we saw online a weeks back. What a great decisions. The moment I walked to the window, the gentleman taking orders was so welcoming and even gave me samples to try. We ordered tandoori chicken, tiki marsala, chicken biryani, chickpeas, butter chicken and naan bread. All were delicious!!! Right amount of heat and crazy flavor. The place is clean and bright! The food at Saffron was very fresh and good. I ordered the chicken tiki masala and my wife had the chicken and lamb bowl. We also had chili garlic naan, which was made fresh at the restaurant. Our food had a little spice, but a good mango yogurt drink helped it wash it down. The service was great, the manager treated us to some naan to try out and it was delicious. The place is located within a gas station, but there are also an Italian ice cream store and some good treats there as well. The ambiance was nice, had chairs and tables for us to eat. We will definitely come back! Drunkin Noodle: no Thai iced tea??..bummer, but they did have a specialty drink with mango/coconut milk and yogurt..better half loved it, im just not a fan of yogurt. read more

The staff is great! Very inviting. We have tried a lot of indo/asian fusion food, they had great recommendations and a very large menu. The food was made to order, hot and fresh. For appetizers we got samosas, and garlic cheese naan. Samosas were great, and the naan was fresh and amazing. For main course we ordered the chicken indo-Chinese bowl, the chicken biryan, which were both great. Don't be put off by the fact that it's in a gas station, because the food is amazing! You can order to go or eat in at the tables that are set up inside. They will give you a sample if you're unsure what to order. We love the Spinach Paneer, Butter Chicken, and the Naan Basket here. The Staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Was visiting my parents and they asked if I wanted to try saffron xpress inside the gas station. We went and I have to say, I was amazed by the quality. We got the lamb biryani and butter chicken and it was soooo good! Everything tastes fresh and they gave us HUGE portions. Plus, the customer service was really lovely. I'm not going to lie, I was a little hesitant when I pulled up and realized the restaurant was in a gas station but we gave it a try. When we walked in, it almost reminded me of a food hall, several places to eat within the gas station. It was very clean with several options for seating. The service was great, the owner (I think) was very attentive and helpful. The food was so good. Good sized portions, I ordered the vegetable korma and my husband ordered the lamb vindaloo and we shared the garlic naan. Everything was perfectly cooked and had the right amount of spice. We were both pleasantly surprised. And to top it off, there's also a little ice cream shop there as well, so we finished with dessert. Will definitely be back! read more

This Indian restaurant fits most lifestyles. The walk up counter to place an order is quick and efficient. The food is delicious. Try the Rice Pulav or the Rice Biryani with Chana Masala. I'd been wanting to try this place because a friend had told me how good it is. We ordered 4 dishes for takeout. Everything was fresh and made to order. The very attentive and friendly owner kindly omitted the peppers for me and asked if I had anything other food concerns. He brought me some samples to try while I waited for my order. For anyone considering a meal from Saffron Xpress, my wife & I highly recommend enjoying anything & everything on their menu. We ordered a Butter chicken Super Bowl, and a Tikka Masala Super Bowl. We're fans of vegetable Samosas, so we also added those to our order. Everything was Delicious, and the bonus was that the Super bowls portions, provided us with two nights of dinners. If you order the butter chicken on Uber Eats be aware that it is from the Kid's Menu. It won't say that anywhere but the restaurant will call you and ask you if you would like to Venmo or Zelle them money to get the regular size. It would be nice if it said the correct size on the menu. I'm not sure if this is their fault or not but the call was extremely weird and it felt like a scam. They also tried to guilt trip me into paying more which was weird to said the least. Their exact phrase when I said I would like to canceled the order instead of paying extra was " Ma'am please we are a new restaurant trying to serve the Riverview community be cooperative" . I wouldn't have left this review if they would've just canceled the order when I asked them to instead of guilt tripping me. read more

It took weeks to get a finalized menu or contract, and we weren't even able to settle the payment until the week before the event. Communication was consistently delayed. Despite paying for a 200-person guest count and having fewer guests than contracted, we ran out of food at nearly every event. This was witnessed by our guests, the venue staff, and our wedding planner. When we confronted the owner, he blamed our guests for "eating too much" rather than taking responsibility for under-preparing. He promised an internal investigation and a resolution within a month. I definitely recommend getting an Indian beer with dinner! Our server was very friendly and took good care of us - honestly all the staff was really nice. We didn't feel rushed and really were able to enjoy our dinner and conversations before the check came. This will definitely be our local go to for Indian food.
