Honestly, these stores serve a purpose (I guess). If you need reasonably priced balloons for a party or need to pick up candy to smuggle into the theater, this is your spot. I can't say enough how much time I can spend in this section alone. They have an incredible kids toy selection too. Since the stock varies every time we stop in I never know what I may find. It is a bit busy and not the most walking around friendly but they make the most of the suave fit sure.

My suspensions were correct; and frankly, the shop just keeps getting better. It's almost unbelievable you would ever see some of these items in Youngstown, but there they are, and at a price you can actually afford. What makes Mel's Habitat different from other local consignment shops is that it caters to individuals. You won't find many things for the person who wants to look like everyone else; but you WILL find that one of a kind piece that you refuse to buy, can't stop obsessing over, and return as soon as she opens the doors so you can bring that beauty home. Mel's Habitat is a TREASURE; and I encourage any and all to visit, even if not to buy a thing, you just have to see the treasures. They are worth beholding.

My disabled aunt's first experience couponing at Dollar General ended with her leaving in tears…read more After the register froze, she politely asked questions because the total didn't seem correct. The cashier, Jess, repeatedly asked, "What do you want me to do, ma'am?" but rejected every reasonable suggestion my aunt made to resolve the confusion. Employees also made comments within earshot such as, "We're going to be here all night," while my aunt was trying to understand her transaction. My aunt's receipt wasn't even given to her. After Jess said it had been placed in the shopping bag, it was later found in the trash. My aunt is disabled and has significant heart problems. She simply needed patience and assistance, but instead left feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I hope Dollar General reviews what happened and takes appropriate action to improve customer service.

I've been through three ALDI locations and although they do vary in quality, the difference is marginal. You'll find yourself filling your cart with items from partially opened master cases they were shipped to the store in. Depressing and very 1984. George Orwell would be like "I told you so." The place isn't entirely worthless. They have a good selection of house brand snack foods and lunch box fillers for the kids, all priced right. Name brand pop tarts are also like a buck cheaper than stupid Wal-Mart. But you'll never be able to do the entirety of your weekly shopping at ALDI. And don't get me started on their "it wont last" odd-lot isle. They must get a wheel of a deal on this trash. Think cheap umbrellas and flimsy kitchen knives. Embarrassing for a company that has spent a king's ransom featuring bougie yet affordable organic products in their marketing. As an aside, on my way to our car I returned two stray carts and put fifty cents back in my pocket. Zero shame in my game.
