Just in case you're interested to know, I've never been to Korea before. Here you can eat authentic Korean food in Adelaide. Which sounds kinda cool, doesn't it? During my meal at Korean Sojubar I didn't expect to get smiles, a generous 50c discount off my drink and Korean celebrities on their wall TV screen. (I think it was because maybe the owner looked very happy, just getting loaded with cash from a couple of wealthy customers who paid before me.) From mere personal observation, experimenting with Korean dining makes the owner a helluva lot of money (I can't stop mentioning the two customers before me who dropped hundreds of dollars to eat Korean food)... But I'll be the first to say that spending over $33 for a very flat lemon lime bitter drink, and mildly flavoured Korean food was not something I would be willing to do again. Star rating based upon the following: -Awesome owner, you clearly rock for giving me 50cents off my drink. It's ironic, because my lady friend found 50cents when we were walking to the beach earlier today! Whatever was happening, spiritual or not, there was something about the finding money or saving money a lot today?! Could it be she's my lucky charm, or something really good is about to happen to me? $3.00 in total for my experience here! I did pretty well here! -How flat my lemon lime bitter tasted. It was a warm day and they gave me no cold ice whatsoever. Wow. -There were only two other groups of customers on a late Saturday afternoon...I was worried that this place might have been packed upon entering, but luckily there was barely anyone.

The pork belly is cheap and deliciously filling. Best place to hang out with your plates. The owner Guen Soo is a super chill dude.

Omakase! OMG - what a fun way to dine at this place…read more Ascend above the noise and bustle of the Electra House bars on the ground, and you arrive in an open space with a mixture of high (bar-style) and regular (dining room style) tables to suit your group dynamics. You have chopsticks AND knife and fork at hand, to fit in with the variety of Asian Fusion food offerings. The dishes are as appetising as the photos suggest. But once our knowledgeable server described the Omakase option, we were hooked! Four 'rounds' of dishes from the menu; changed on a daily basis - so think of it as the banquet option, but you never know which one until you arrive. Especially for a first time visit, it's the best way to go.

This was the best breakfast I've had here in Adelaide. Ordered the Pummelled Pumpkin- Basil pesto,…read moregrill asparagus, crispy kale, parmigiana reggiano, poached egg on dark rye. The composition of the dish was well balanced, multi-layered and aesthetically pleasing. We also tried the baked egg with scallops- very savory and hot! Well balanced with the creamy poached eggs and cauliflower purée at the bottom paired with the crunchy pangrattato and crispy bacon. Would definitely order again Delicious!! Their coffee is excellent - super smooth. We were lucky to sit upstairs at the bar seating and witnessed them roasting their own coffee beans. No wonder the coffee is so tasty. I just wish the serving size was bigger so I could have more haha.

The place was very light and airy. We sat on the ground level, but there is also an indoor balcony area and a couple outdoor tables. I was very happy with the bloody Mary, got a good depth of flavor and a moderate spicy level. I LOVED the whipped avo. It was basically a deconstructed avocado toast. The avo was so light and fluffy and tangy, absolutely amazing on its own, but then to pair it with the feta, pickled rhubarb and the beautiful artisan toast - I ate every last crumb and wished there were more.
