We were promised a booking for 7pm and the restaurant even called us to confirm the booking the day of. Upon arriving at 7pm, the entire restaurant is full and we were constantly told to "sorry, please wait a few more minutes". After being offered more empty promises, we ended up leaving at 7:23pm. How can any hospitality establishment conduct business in good faith and neither honor nor consider reservations made in advance? The restaurant management are unprincipled and plainly incompetent. Customers assume can just walk in and sit down to eat so they got kicked out as they didn't book and we did so it took a while for them to get ready. Should be more organised and have a reserve sign on the table. Otherwise food was really good. Simple flavours but it was tasty and it's fun seeing it be cooked by itself. Staff were friendly when not as busy. Would come back again!

The curry was a little too syrupy and the vegetables a bit overcooked, the bibimbap sauce tasted artificial - too sweet and not spicy enough. I am curious about the hotpot though - I've noticed a lot of people come back for this. As well as some of the more traditionally Korean dishes, Don Don makes a range of meals that remind me of the closely related Japanese cuisine. The bento boxes and sushi are reasonably priced. This place has a lot of potential - sweet decor and good location to take advantage of uni and night life - but I think the food needs to improve.

Just in case you're interested to know, I've never been to Korea before. Here you can eat authentic Korean food in Adelaide. Which sounds kinda cool, doesn't it? During my meal at Korean Sojubar I didn't expect to get smiles, a generous 50c discount off my drink and Korean celebrities on their wall TV screen. (I think it was because maybe the owner looked very happy, just getting loaded with cash from a couple of wealthy customers who paid before me.)
