Beef salad
Linda V.

My cousin took us here for a late birthday celebration for my birthday. I honestly didn't have high hopes because decent Thai food in the suburbs but I was delightfully surprised to be proven wrong. I REALLY enjoyed the food, like I ate more at that meal than I normally do and even enjoyed the leftovers too. It's nicely lit (has a wonderful array of chandeliers to look at), clean, staff was pleasant and didn't rush you and the food was good. The only thing I didn't care much for was the beef salad (not laab), it had bean thread noodles in it which isn't what you'd expect for beef salad. My highlight was the cream cheese wontons, fried tofu and the spicy chicken wings. Get the chicken wings. My cousin really enjoyed her Thai coffee. My sister enjoyed her pho and my other sister enjoyed the fried rice. Parking was decent, there weren't too many people there, the restaurant smelled like fresh made waffle cones and they played dessert videos on the two big screens on the wall.

Excellent Pad Thai and curries! I've been twice and both were top notch. Will be back soon to try more of the menu.

I am surprised to read some of the reviews about quality of food or customer service as we had an absolute stellar experience at this location so would recommended folks to give it another chance. There is ample parking space in the attached parking lot, location is super convenient/accessible right off highway 61 and the dining area inside is decent size and very clean! Went on a Friday afternoon and were promptly seated by the friendly/smiling staff. We ordered multiple items off the menu (see pics); the portion sizes were generous, the food had flavor/tasted great and fresh, the service was amazingly fast! I would highly recommend getting the potstickers while you're there. From our experience when we took the first bite, it was literally a heavenly moment. We are 100% planning to visit this location again & again!

Cream cheese Wontons (8) dipping sauce

Well first off, I actually came to the Restaurant , based on the reviews, but I have a Much different opinion about the food.we had the Sweet and Sour Chicken! Presentation was a 4.5, item 3.25/ so Sweet but no Sour it was just ok. Pad Cashew Nut, 3.5, again nice presentation, but nothing special! Cream cheese Wontons were very good( the highlight of experience) a 4.5, but a table spoon of dipping sauce for 8 was not enough! The Restaurant is a Barn , umbrellas on Ceiling ( hmm) a horrible Space 2.0, nothing about it would get a my approval. Service 4, hardly got Appetizer, an asking for Entree order ! Not my favorite Type of service! A Beer an a Wine. Then the Bill has the Annoying TIP RECOMMENDATION 15/18/20/etc! I've eaten Thai food in Thailand, Hawaii, and all over Minnesota and Metropolitan Area! This is Not a 4.6 experience! $51.00 before a 20% Tip !!! Not Cheap, Food Average at Best, the Space is Not an actual "Restaurant" Experience it's a Barn! Remember this is an Opinion, there were several people that Rated it a 4.6... That's not how I rate an experience!

Did not expect this out of the way Asian restaurant would be such a hit. In the middle of a predominately white suburban town, this restaurant is bringing authentic southeast Asian flavors. The pad Thai was near perfect. Deliciously peanuty with a good mix of sweet and sour. It had a nice sauce to noodle ratio and good noodle texture. Cream cheese puffs were delicately crispy with a nice dipping sauce. Chicken wings were crispy, spicy and fun to eat. Avoid though if you're not into spice as theres a hefty amount of chili oil on them. The beef salad had a good mix of ingredients but could've used more acid. The pho broth was great, just like at home. Nice and beefy in flavor with good amount of seasoning. It didn't even need any other condiments. Other great dishes are the pad see ew, Salomon curry and basil fried rice. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The place was clean, bright, warm and inviting. I'm so pleasantly surprised as being Asian, I am highly opinionated on the flavors of home and the food that I grew up with. This place is great and definitely a can't miss if in Hastings.

Great (& inexpensive) Thai in Hastings MN?! I give this place four stars (plus one extra to offset someone's weird 1 star review). Pad Thai w mock duck was delicious. Just missing a lime slice. Panang curry w tofu over sticky rice. Perfect spice. Fresh veggies. Right amount of coconut milk. Service was quite friendly and MN casual. Maybe the food took a while longer than usual, but the place was very busy on a Wednesday, so no worries. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of this old dark blue building. It was something else from ye olden days. Simple midwestern furnishings but with some nice accents: pretty fans, vases, and this amazing mural.

I think it's one of the best restaurants in Hastings. The service and food is excellent.

Stopped into this no frills Thai spot while getting an oil change nearby. There's limited seating…read morewith counter service for ordering. No real menu, just pics on the wall and a printed piece of paper, tri-folded. They offer lunch pricing for certain things before 2pm but you must ask for the lunch price. I saw two people order pad Thai, both got the same sized serving but one was the lunch price of $11, the other was $16. I had the basil chicken and added veggies. Level 3 on the spice. It was fine, nothing spectacular. With the addition of the veggies and a sprite, I spent $16. There was very little chicken in the dish (see pic), not worth the price. The lunch special isn't served with anything extra (egg roll, soup, etc), just rice. All in all, I'd go back if I'm in the area, but wouldn't make a special trip.

Unfortunately the pork egg rolls were not cooked enough. The whole wrap was soggy and mushy, and the filling wasn't really hot. I didn't eat them. I ordered the vegetable fried rice because the gentleman taking my order recommended that over the basil fried rice because I didn't want any meat. He said I would get more vegetables. I had big long stringy pieces of basil within the rice, but there were very little vegetables. The vegetables they add were pre-cut frozen carrots and broccoli. I asked for a level three spice. It did have a nice kick to it. The dining area was clean and the service was very friendly.

Was greeted with smiling faces right when we walked in! We had Elizabeth as our server and she was genuinely nice, and took her time to make sure we had the best experience ever. She ALWAYS checked back in on us to see if we needed anything, to refill waters if needed. She always had a bright smile on her face, and treated all customers with respect. She engaged to have conversations with you, asked how your day was going! The food was, nice and hot when it came out and exactly what we asked for! The food tasted AMAZING. We have 4 kids and most of them are picky but leaving this restaurant they ate things that they loved and said they we would eat again! Elmade sure my kids were happy and got the food they wanted. The pad thai was fabulous and my husband enjoyed his red coconut curry dish. I ordered mine a 1 out of 5 for spiciness and it was perfect. My husband loves the heat, and thought his 2 out of 5 was perfect. He was given some hot chili spice to add if desired, but he said it was perfect as is. Our friends chose the "drunken noodles" entree and pineapple fried rice. They loved their dishes too. The family that owns this restaurant and works here as chefs & servers deserve our business! We'll be back for sure.

We live in the area and were really craving pho. We typically go to Pho & Boat Noodle because it…read moreconsistently satisfies that craving, but since we didn't feel like driving 30 minutes, we decided to give this place a try since it was closer. We arrived a little after opening time and were seated right away, but it took a little over 45 minutes before our food arrived, which felt quite long considering it wasn't very busy yet. We started with the egg rolls. They were plated nicely and looked appealing when they came out. The rolls themselves were loosely wrapped, which made the wrappers a bit soggy rather than crispy, but the flavor of the filling was actually quite good. We also ordered sticky rice, which unfortunately was not sticky at all. It had more of a regular rice texture. I'm not sure if this is a different preparation style compared to traditional sticky rice I'm used to, but it wasn't what I expected. We also ordered the sticky rice to go with the beef namtok, but it came out with the egg rolls instead of with the entrée, which felt a bit odd timing-wise. The pho boat noodle was the highlight of the meal--9/10. The broth had good depth of flavor and the dish overall was satisfying. One thing that would elevate the experience is having condiments and herbs readily available, such as fresh basil, lime, and bean sprouts served on the side so customers can add them to their preference rather than having them already mixed in. The beef namtok, however, was disappointing--2/10. The flavor profile itself was there, but the beef was very tough and tasted boiled. Traditionally, namtok that I've had is grilled and thinly sliced, which gives it a smoky flavor and more tender texture with the seasoning absorbing into the meat. This version didn't quite deliver that same experience. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but there are definitely areas that could be improved. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. I would also love to see the atmosphere better reflect the style of food being served, as that can really enhance the overall dining experience.
