Complete with stamped tin ceilings, antique doorways, and lights! As it was our first time here we were directed to seat ourselves, and we were promptly seated as. Our drink order was taken. We ordered 14" pepperoni and sausage pizza. Ot was delivered straight out of the oven, piping HOT!! It turned out to be very good! Everyone commented on the sauce, large chunks of sausage and crispy crust. My wife commented that she especially enjoyed the crust and sauce. I found it to be really good pizza! I ordered through Goldbelly and although the taste of the pizza was decent, it was the baking part that was shockingly bad. Your recommendations mention using a pizza stone. This should be an absolute must based on the condition of my oven after not using one. The thin crust couldn't hold the pizza contents on the oven grates properly and literally collapsed upon removal! Talk about a mess! Another awful experience at Bimbos. This time Allison made sure I didn't enjoy my meal. Where to begin? I have been to bimbos probably once a year since 2017 and every single time I come to bimbos it is a bad experience. Every single time I walk through that door I pick up a negative vibe. The only reason I have returned to this restaurant is because my husband loves this restaurant. It is nostalgia for him. Well that was up until Sunday. While we were at the restaurant on Sunday Allison was our server. Allison made sure that we did not enjoy your experience that day. We ordered cheese bread for an appetizer. I watched Allison clean other tables and serve other tables before she brought the cheese bread to our table. The cheese bread was burnt. Then two minutes later she brought the rest of the food. An appetizer by definition should be served at least five minutes prior to the main meal. Then throughout the meal she made no effort to check in with us to see if we needed anything. Allison could not be bothered with refilling drinks. I ordered a veggie pizza. The outer rim of my veggie pizza was burnt. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza. Her pizza was burnt. My husband ordered a sausage pizza. Amazingly his pizza was not burnt. My child refused to eat the cheese pizza we paid for because it was burnt. That was frustrating to receive burnt food and no apology. Allison then escalated her poor behavior when she asked if we wanted boxes to go and we said yes. That was a horrible mistake. Allison brings the boxes to the table and drops them on the pizza......that we were eating. I am unsure why Allison thought that behavior was acceptable but hey maybe that's the bimbos way. The icing on the cake during our time dining here was when a family of nine came in and Allison rolled her eyes puffed out and exhausted sigh and took her sweet time serving this family. It definitely came across like Allison had a problem with serving a large family. It made me feel like if I were to have a birthday party I would not come to bimbos because employees like Allison would work to make sure that I didn't enjoy my time at bimbos. I know Allison did this because I set up my table and watched her do it. My husband went to pay and said that was the only time Allison was nice was during check out. I've lived in Kalamazoo since 1973 and have NEVER had Bimbos pizza...until yesterday. It was a slow night because of the weather and it's hard to really get a feel. I do think the waitress was ok, nothing extraordinary, kinda like the pizza. It was just a large pepperoni. Super thin crust, standard stuff. It was good but not like I've waited 30 years for it. Extremely disappointed in our experience at Bimbo's Pizza this evening. We called before we went to be sure there was no wait. This would have been the perfect opportunity for them to not only let us know there wasn't a wait but also that there was a suspicious person sitting in the corner wearing a baby doll mask showing nothing but their eyes. Bimbo's staff advised there was something mentally wrong with this person however keep saying "we're watching him and he's fine". We were also told the police had already been in to check on him however both Bimbo's and the police took no further action. The entire time we were there he was sitting in the corner with his head down or buried in his hands. He would look up, scan the room and then put his head back down. He made us very uncomfortable. Needless to say, we were there with our infant and felt uncomfortable enough to finally just ask if we can have our food to go because we were getting the hell out of there. The waitress responded with a "I don't blame you, it's very weird". I grabbed our child and packed up to leave. Once he heard us saying we were leaving, he wouldn't stop staring at us. My fiancé mentioned this person again as to the reason why we were leaving and how uncomfortable we felt to a lady behind the counter who appeared to be the owner. He asked if this person was checked for weapons when the police were there based on the odd way they were acting. The woman said "we appreciate for your concern" and rudely just walked away. Why Bimbo's didn't take any further action in putting their staff and customers safety in question is beyond me. read more

Great thin crust pizza located in downtown Kalamazoo. In my opinion this is the most underrated pizza in Kalamazoo. Parking can be an issue at times and they don't serve anything alcoholic. That doesn't bother me personally, but I do know others that avoid it because of that. read more

I have no idea what it is about this pizza, but it's amazing. The first time I went to Bimbo's, the pizza came out and I thought to myself, "This looks... okay." But then I started eating it and I couldn't stop, even after I scorched the roof of my mouth on the boiling lava hot cheese and sauce. The crust is thin unless you request "double crust", but it's never soggy even with a bunch of toppings. It's not crispy, either; it's really just perfect. The sauce is amazing - not too sweet, and not overpowering. The housemade sausage is my favorite! The place is always packed whenever we go. There's on-street parking or easier parking down a couple side streets if it's busy. I think the only thing that would make Bimbo's better is if they served beer. As an out-of-towner, I can't speak to how Bimbo's may have changed over the years, but I love it just how it is now. read more

Nobody else in the area tases quite like it, and I can't say that I've had anything like it anywhere else in the world either! Very simple, yet delicious sauce. Great toppings. Well let's first start with the rude blonde waitress, who took a good 3 or 4 minutes to even notice we were there... Two small personal pizzas took about 24 minutes, even though we saw people come In after us & get entire pies first... If they had good pizza, I would have let all this go, but beside the nice crust the pizza lacked flavor. I had banana peppers and sausage, while Kat had banana peppers, pepperoni and jalapeños. Bimbos pizza has a great slogan "A Treat in Michigan Smuggled Out of Italy". Let me tell you, this is a true statement! I absolutely LOVE this pizzeria! I have been coming to this pizzeria since I was a little girl. The first thing you see when you walk in is the pizza being made. Seeing the dough being flattened, the sauce being put on and then the cheese and toppings. I love how it is all done right in front of you! Then as your walking towards the seating area, you get free reign of where you would like to sit (most times when I'm with my dad he likes to face the big screen to watch whatever game is on). Speaking of the big screens, there are two of them. The seating area has the Victorian look going on. Dark wood walls with gold trim, and the tables and booths match the walls. I normally order a small pizza (which is the perfect size for one person) with ham and cheese. To me one of the best things about Bimbos Pizza is their crust. It is thin and crispy (having been to Italy I can say from experience that this is how authentic Italian pizza is). The staff is generally friendly and nice. The second last time I was there my waitress was the owners granddaughter, who was 11 and she was one of the best servers I have ever had. This last time though, my server didn't really pay much attention to us, I tried to flag her down for at least 2 minutes before she even heard me calling out "ma'am". This is probably the one thing that brought it down to a 4 star instead of a 5. I love this place with all of my heart and I seriously suggest going there! I can not praise Bimbos Pizza enough. The restaurant has rich wooden walls, super old pictures of Kalamazoo, and beautiful a crown molded ceiling. Doesn't seem like it's changed too much! This is a unique-to-the-Midwest, thin-crust pizza place. It is not going to satisfy you if you are looking for anything different such as a thick or deep crust, Chicago style pizza. If that's what you like don't come here and give them a bad review because you like a thick crust. Their crust is thin, tasty and almost perfect in my humble opinion. I'm a pizza guy. I made pizzas for years in high school for a part time job. I know good pizza. The only con I have of this place is that they use a sheeter. I rate this Bimbo's dinner area the very worse congested place ever. We were there on Sunday evening the 18th. and we getting ready to leave and I was having problems paying at the counter which there was no room for no one even to walk around a lady behind me waiting for her pizza couple coming me in the door open the out went my Father with his walker and has deminitia not knowing where he is going but had to get out of way so they could come in. My Mother was behind trying to get in and fell right on her face. No one from Bimbo's came out to help pick her up or ask if she ok . Someone from another table came and help me pick her up. No accident report was made never ask if she needed to go let them know. Very disrespectful poor service never go back there .My Mother has been hurting really bad since there went for a bunch of X-ray today praying nothing was broke. Called a few never can talk to owner.
