My husband had training in Kalamazoo so he brought home Roma's Pizza. Pasta is my comfort food and I've been having a rough few days so I decided to get the cheese ravioli with marinara sauce. My husband got a pepperoni pizza. We also got some cheesy bread sticks to share. It was all super delicious and honestly made me feel better. I hadn't even been wanting to eat but I ate every bite. My husband said he isn't surprised they have a perfect health score based on the fact they are still doing only curbside. I am truly looking forward to coming back. read more

I have tried Roma's three times without success. First time was 10 years ago. We dined in and had ravioli and the sauce had very little seasoning and was thin like pizza sauce. The second time was about 2 years ago in which we ordered a pizza for delivery. I called after 75 mins to inquire as to its whereabouts and they told me the driver was around the corner. I called back after 1.75 hrs from ordering and told them to not bother. Roma is 1.5 miles from my house. I tried to place an order two Friday's ago around 5:30 p.m. over the phone. The automated message said they were no longer taking any orders for that evening. I see people coming and going from there so I assume the food is good but haven't had any luck so far. read more

I am going to have such a hard time coming here and trying other things on the menu, after having the shawarma chicken calzone on my first visit! It was absolutely amazing. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the garlic sauce was dripping out with every bite. So much cheese! Crust was tasty and the calzone was big enough for two meals. Based on this one meal there, I will definitely need to come back and try the pizza! This place is still not open for indoor seating (early March 2021), but ordering it to go was easy and pick up was painless. It was super hot and fresh! read more

Pleased that their sauce and their dough has great flavor. I got the Philly cheese pizza and was mostly happy. The only thing they could have done better is cooked it a bit longer. The veggie toppings just needed to be cooked down a bit. Otherwise, that pizza would have been perfect. Would I return? For sure! Nothing a little special instruction can't fix. The flavors were totally there. The toppings and cheese were more than I expected. You have to add extra cheese at other pizza joints to even hold the toppings on it. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. We ordered 2sub sandwiches, chicken strips app and a wrap. Took over an hour to get here then the wrap was saturated with water. The tortilla was soaked so bad that when my daughter tried to pick it up it fell apart. My daughters fingers went right through. Very disappointed. Not sure if we'll try them again. Roma's is my favorite pizza place in Kalamazoo! My boyfriend and I started coming here to buy dough and toppings when we were in our homemade pizza craze. They sell dough for $1, and the toppings are cheap too. How cool is that? When we finally ordered their pizza, I was kicking myself for not trying it sooner. The pizza is so good, loaded with cheese and toppings. No skimping here. Let me tell you about the Roma's Bread (or watch me parade the streets shouting about its delicious magnificence): mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, feta cheese, AND parmesan cheese with garlic butter and Italian spices. If you could only get one thing, get this. It's better than pizza. We usually do the large 2-topping pizza and 1/2 order of breadsticks deal and upgrade the breadsticks to Roma's bread for less than $2. DO IT. Check their facebook page for crazy good deals. They did a 420 special for free cinnamon bites. Seriously, Roma's loves their customers and we love them. Employees are always friendly. My only downside is the restaurant interior which reflects the style and cheer of a Chuck E. Cheese whose heyday was 30 years ago. Just bless your tastebuds and order takeout. read more

I've heard of Roma's and passed it for a very long time. I'm disappointed in myself it took me so long to try it! Their sauce and crust are both homemade and very tasty. On Tuesday they offer a Chicken Shawarma Pickle Pizza and is SOOOO WONDERFUL! They top this pizza with Chicken Shawarma, Pickles and Garlic Sauce from our other favorite restaurant, Shawarma King! Of course it also has mozzarella and is even served with a side of garlic sauce. This pizza is probably my favorite pizza right now but it's only available on Tuesday! I also love the Roma Bread which has so much cheese. This one has Feta, mozzarella, cheddar and Parmesan topped with Italian spices and garlic butter. YUM!! We have also built our own pizzas and they were just as delicious. If you're thinking about trying it, you might want to give it a try on Tuesday so you can try the Chicken Shawarma Pizza. read more

They run a well-oiled ship here. I won a free calzone in a social media contest they held. When I called to order it, I also purchased an additional calzone for my partner and some cheesy breadsticks.They were running $2.99 special for calzones that day, and I expected them to be on the smaller side since they were only $3. I was wrong: They were about a foot long and both myself and my husband got 2 meals out of them. The cheesy bread sticks were also delicious but could have stood to have spent another minute in the oven. When you order from a business on a day they're offering a big special, you kind of expect for them to be slammed and to have to wait a while for your order. Not so here. I pulled in and saw the sign on the door that said curbside only I'd only and listed their number to call when you arrived. I got my phone out to make the phone call and looked up and some announced standing at my car door with my food. Talk about service! I recommend ordering a side of their pizza sauce to accompany your calzone. I usually expect to have sauce on the side of the calzone and they don't include that here. Fortunately the portion that was served with our breadsticks was ample, so we used that for dipping the calzones, too. Definitely the best pizza sauce I've had in a long time. My only complaint here is something that the business has no control over: It took easily 10 minutes to get out of the parking lot and I had to go the wrong direction to get out once I could depart. The parking lot theoretically connects all the way through to the parking lot at Drake party center, and if cars could get through there it would make it a zillion times easier to exit. The part of the parking area that ostensibly connects through is blocked off by 2 cars at a neighboring business, seemingly permanently. read more

As far as pizza and bread sticks go in the Kalamazoo area; Roma's rates up there near the top. On Saturday we were looking for something better than "fast food pizza" and yet didn't want to go sit down for dinner. We called Roma's and were able to pick up two pies and two orders of sticks within 30 minutes, so that was a bonus. The pizza was fresh, full of cheese and toppings were not skimpy at all. The sticks were served up with a cup of nice hot sauce too, so yummy! I think that the hotter the better when it comes to good flavorful pizza is key and once it gets cooled off, it isn't as tasty, but hey, this place is solid and I'll be back soon. read more

Roma's is amazing. I love the veggie salad, the pizza is delicious with just the right crust/sauce/topping ratio, and their round bread for sandwiches is a seriously under discussed menu choice. Oh! We've been ordering Roma's pizza for years. Typically we get their pizzas or subs delivered. Last night our family decided to try some pasta off their menu including stuffed manicotti and lasagna, but also bruschetta and garlic cheese bread. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious, and the stuffed manicotti was well portioned, stuffed well with ricotta cheese and something I will order again definitely. My husband said the lasagna was great and he probably should have only ate half of it. Our youngest sons split a lasagna. Our oldest son ordered a calzone-a small and it barely fit on his plate. He isn't a big eater so I doubted that he would be able to eat the entire calzone, but he did. He said he should have stopped at half but it was too good! read more

I stopped by and got some lasagne last Friday. The portion was huge. And delicious. My wife and I shared and still had a small portion to share for a second meal. The red meat sauce was great. We brought our friends back today. I had the ravioli with the meat sauce. They are very generous with the amount of sauce and portions. The ravioli was very creamy. My wife and friend each had the fettuccine Alfredo which was also very good with lots of sauce. My other friend had an Alfredo calzone. It was huge and very crispy and delicious. I found out the dough, sauces, and even some of the dressings are all made from scratch. This is definitely hidden gem! read more

Roma's probably has the best pizza in the Kalamazoo area. Now, trust me, there are some good places for pizza around here. I know good pizza. I worked at a pizza parlor and made pizza for 5 years. I also made fresh dough, sauce and grated cheese each day for that pizza. The dough is fresh tasting, they put ample cheese on and the sauce is fairly tasty without being too sweet or spicy. The only reason that I didn't give them a five star review is due to the amount of toppings they place on each pie. The recent pizza I ordered was a large (14") with pepperoni and Italian sausage. Problem is that the pepperoni they put on was about half as much as they should of put on and they really skimp on the sausage. Probably only about 1/3 of what I would expect or at least put on a pizza I was making. Overall it's a decent place. Staff friendly. I really hope they can take this review as constructive and pump up the toppings a bit. If they do, I'd give them 6 stars all day long. Try it. It's good ZA!! read more

We decided to visit Roma's after I heard several friends say it was delicious. I took my family on a Friday evening. We were the only people in the restaurant which I found to be odd. There is very limited seating and our party of five had to sit in two booths. The staff were polite but didn't seem prepared for a sit in order. We tried their cheese pizza and Roma's bread. I used to go to Romas a lot, but I moved. Was happy to see they were part of delivery service. I ordered a calzone and lasagne with meatballs and mushrooms. I was sorely disappointed. The main problem was the 'sauce ', I use the term loosely, because it tasted like someone opened a can of tomato paste. The calzone was ok, but blasted with sauce. Wow, I ordered a pizza at 530 pm tonight and I told them I wanted it delivered, I gave address and was told 1 hr, well hour passed so I called they tell me driver messed up and didn't know it was going to be delivered so now I am told they are remaking the pizza and was told 35 to 40 min, again over an hour passes, I call and they say its leaving now 45 min later I get a call driver is lost and asked for direction and we wait again then I get another call and they tell me driver now thinks the pizza should be made again wow it is 8:30 . Really not sure why and super bummed that we didn't try this place before. It's a gem! Sorry before we could take pictures the food was almost over, guess we were too hungry and the food looked way too good. Being vegetarians our problem has always been a shortage on vegetarian options specially in an Italian place. Roma's not only had many options but the food is also so good. We ordered the Veggie Calzone (it's HUGE), baked manicotti pasta stuffed with cheese and marinara sauce (sounds yum and it's yummier in taste) and potato wedges. The wedges were for our toddler but he loved the manicotti pasta so much that we had to trade - lol. Calzone was stuffed with green olives, tomatoes , onion and cheese. It was really good and well baked. The size is huge so they'll make great leftovers. Marinara sauce in the pasta was really good and fresh. Lastly the potato wedges were crispy on outside and super soft on inside - though we did a take out the wedges did not get soggy at all! Overall the food was great , can't wait to go to Roma's again. College town = great pizza spots. Roma's is one of my favorite for one simple reason. Roma bread. We usually just end up getting a large order of Roma bread and an antipasto salad. Their pizza was cooked near perfect- one side was burnt and their breadsticks were delicious!
