Very disappointing experience. I hired Billy's Plumbing and Rooter hoping for a professional solution, but unfortunately, that's not what I got. The plumber who showed up was clearly very young and inexperienced. He seemed unsure of what he was doing, kept calling his boss for help, and still didn't manage to solve the problem. I wasn't given any options or explanations -- just confusion and guesswork. To top it off, he even left his ladder behind when he left! I was connected to Billy's Plumbing & Rooter through FAHW company when 2 other plumbing companies failed to properly diagnose what was going on with my primary bathroom shower. We lost water pressure in the shower only and even though all the valves were only a couple years old, each company that came out didn't want to go through all the proper steps to assess what the issue was (flushing the valve, replacing cartridge, flushing the water heater etc) and just jumped to the conclusion that it was the valve that had to be replaced which would be a huge project involving opening up walls in a bedroom, making a big dusty mess and very costly. I had to beg each plumbing company to test out several steps and documented everything as it went along but they all reached the same conclusion that the valve needed replacement. I refused to accept that and in comes Billy's - I sent them all the videos of the things we had tried and all photos I had and the Billy immediately said he thought it might be something with the internal shut off valve (hot water was the main issue for the lack of pressure). Sure enough when his tech came out, he went through various steps and saw that the spring on the hot water shut off valve had jammed so after making some adjustments he got it to work and my pressure is as good as ever! Took him less than an hour and saved my home warranty company (and myself) thousands of dollars and no construction mess. I cannot speak for their rates given I went through the home warranty company but would certainly consider them for future projects just based on experience and attention to detail. Their office manager Suzanne was also fantastic and super helpful with scheduling and communicating updates prior to having the tech come out. read more

Bill came after I had gotten another plumber who said the only way to fix my sink stoppage was to cut a hole in the outside of my wall, which I did t want to do as my house is up for sale. Bill said I did not need to cut a hole, then his colleague Julian spent hours under my house in a tiny dark space cutting out ten feet of old pipe full of muck. I didn't actually hire Billy's. A friend recommended them but here's my experience. And this isn't to badmouth, but to be honest about what I think is good and bad. The Good: The communication was excellent. I like their use of SMS to communicate. It's efficient and they were mostly very quick to respond. When I said I had a fairly urgent matter, they were able to get someone out as soon as I had the parts ordered that Rheem told me I needed. FYI: If you need parts for a Rheem water heater, you have to order them from Rheem, yourself. They said they can't get Rheem parts. I decided to replace my tank heater with a tankless. The Bad: They quoted me $6500 for a new tankless Navien water heater. That includes the unit and the installation. THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. The plumber who came out to assess the installation told me he'd put it on a certain side of my house and after talking to two other professionals who confirmed $6500 was insane and that they wouldn't put the water heater where Billy's was planning to mount it, I decided to hire someone else. I did end up getting a brand new tankless water heater, installed in a better location the next day for a total of $3200. I'm sure Billy's probably does fine work and they were very friendly and professional. Clearly, they have lots of nice reviews here. I can't speak to the quality of their work since I didn't hire them, but I do know when I'm being charged a premium that is over the top. Any business has the right to charge what they think their services are worth but when it comes to plumbing, there are good plumbers out there who will do just as good of a job (or better) for a price that is fair. I have found the to be polite, professional and responsive in every way. They have repaired my main drain, shower Fossett cartridges, unclogged drains and moved gas lines. They even gave us advise and recommendations for a company to drill through a quarts countertop into a fire clay kitchen sink. We had some major problems with area drains being clogged with roots and dirt. With the insane amounts of rain in 2023 our home had serious problems with flooding in the backyard and side yard, and resulted in flooding into our garage in one case. We started looking and our first problem was that many plumbers flat out didn't want to work on area drains. We looked around for places advertising hydrojetting and two different companies came out and told us that the clogs can't be cleared and the pipes needed to be removed. This included cutting concrete on our patio. I won't get into the gory details of how high these bids were, but suffice it to say that I was on the verge of buying my own sewer camera, hydrojet, and sewer snake with cutting ends to try and solve the issue myself. Then a friend referred me to Billy's Plumbing. They came out and quickly did some initial drain cleaning work with a large snake. They made it clear on this initial visit that some digging was likely necessary (under dirt, not concrete) to replace sections of pipe. But the progress they made in that first one hour gave me the confidence to know that these guys could get the job done and I was going to get an honest assessment. They followed up with a comprehensive bid to clear out all the roots (which involved digging some sections out that were under dirt, and hydrojetting under concrete). It wasn't exactly cheap, but I gotta tell you after seeing bids from other places it felt like I was getting a screaming deal. As to the actual work, Billy's team was out promptly and they were great about keeping me informed of progress. There was a brief moment where I thought they might not be able to clear the lines fully and I was preparing myself for a 2nd bid that involved cutting a small bit of concrete. But Billy's team was relentless and dedicated to getting the job done within the original bid. All told the job was done in two days, no cutting concrete, and my yard was put back together nicer than the way they found it (this almost sounds like a joke but its actually true). It was just in time for another heavy rain and I was so excited I wanted to setup a lawn chair to watch the drains in my yard actually do what they were supposed to do (they did). I swear to God I don't know if I've EVER been so happy with work done at my home. I'll call these guys back anytime for plumbing work. Honest, friendly, fair pricing, and quality work.
