Happy to get BBQ. Rarely eat two meat combo. Glad I did. They would be better if they had sweet peach tea.

Went in for rib and was informed that they were out of ribs for several days. A rib restaurant with no ribs. Useless.

If I could give this more than five stars I would. This place is incredible. First off I highly…read morerecommend making reservations cause it seems like a pretty popular upscale place. The design of the restaurant is gorgeous. It is open concept with big beautiful windows and a ton of natural light, but it still feels so elevated but not too elevated that you can't wear jeans but elevated enough that you could wear heels. I saw people dressed casual in there, and I saw people dressed in suits. I highly recommend sitting at the chef's table, which is the counter that belly's right up to the chefs that are cooking right out in the open. It is the coolest experience to watch their every move and listen to them communicate with each other. You do not feel any heat off of the grill or the stove because of the way it's set up. You just get to watch them make their magic. I expected this place to be overly priced because it is so nice but honestly, the prices are great. For the experience and for the food, I was more than happy with the pricing. The hospitality there is top-notch from the second you walk in and every minute after that, you feel like you are paid attention to and that you matter. You feel like all of the staff are grateful for you but not in an overbearing way just in a very appreciative way. This restaurant truly understands that the customers are what keep them in business. We had a 5 PM reservation on a Saturday night. Like I said, we ate at the chefs table. As soon as we sat down, the owner came up and greeted us and shook our hands, introduced himself and introduced us to all of the chefs that were cooking. I noticed he did that with everybody at the chefs table, so it was such a cool experience. Then he brought us out a little sample to try that isn't on the menu and that was super nice. He checked on us a couple of times after that. In between him checking on us, we had the nicest waiter checking on us. He was more than a waiter. He was like a concierge of the restaurant. He knew about every dish and every drink and could give us very specific details about it and help us decide what we would like. Now to the food, wow I mean wow. Check out my pictures for what we ordered. We cannot wait to go back. The food was good, but I wouldn't say completely outstanding for the price point. I appreciate the farm to table type approach and that's what males need really want to love the place. But the food just missed the mark for the price. Good.... But not outstanding as I would have expected. The drinks were really good and were something different than the normal which I really appreciated. The service was also something that was little awkward. It wasn't bad service, but a very long descriptions of things, back story, etc. when we needed more drinks, we kind of had to flag out waitress down. Again, nothing terrible...we were taken care of fine - but I think when you compare how much it costs vs. what the expectations were - it just overall missed slightly. I am open to giving it another try.

I have to first say, I love Shindigs. Winfield is blessed to have them. The food is great, and the…read morestaff is very personable, and they cater to requests that are slightly off menu very well, and thank you for that. Now, why am I dropping from five to four stars? The staff leadership. Where is it? Where is an experienced leader to help ensure the customers' needs are met? What I see is a very young (and very sweet) staff operating largely unsupervised. Tonight, for example. My wife and I got dressed for dinner, and showed up sans reservation. All good. I made my way to the bar to get drinks for my wife and me, while my wife checked us in. We were seated in a booth fairly quickly upstairs. Our server took good care of us, despite how busy it was. So far so good. My wife ordered a yummy sandwich, and I ordered the Yard Bird, essentially a grilled chicken breast. I ordered asparagus and a side salad to go along with it. We sat there for a bit, but things were busy, and all was good. We were having a great time. Here's where they could do better, and it feels very typical as we're eating there - a lot. After sitting for a while our food came, but here's the deal. The salad wasn't delivered early, as is customary. It came with my entrée. By the time I enjoyed my salad, and the vinaigrette was outstanding, the chicken and asparagus was cold. I just boxed it up and took it home. Really? How hard is this, folks? Your food is priced at big boy prices, but the overall service is not up to the prices you charge. Here are a few more examples. These are simple things that can be fixed, if anyone bothers to: Since I moved here over a year ago, I've developed a liking for their onion rings. We frequently order them as an appetizer. In that year, guess how many times when the appetizer is delivered to the table (usually by a member of the kitchen staff and not by our server) that we have plates for each person to use? Zero. Not once in the last year. All we can do is try to catch the kitchen staff member before they walk away and ask for plates. Then we wait as our appetizer cools off for the plates. Who's guiding these kids? Next, order iced tea. You'll get your tea, but many, many times with such a minimum of ice that you have to ask the server for more ice before you're even a third through. On the tea thing, if you order iced tea with lemon, in my experience you'll get the lemon you ordered only about half the time, and you have to follow up. Additionally, when you're done with your first glass of tea and you're due for a refill, it would be outstanding if, when a refill is placed in front of you, it had lemon as well. It's so simple, right? Back to tonight's dinner. We had dinner in a booth upstairs, but we decided to move downstairs for coffee and dessert at the bar. But wait, the coffee machine is broken, so no coffee. We left, and went to another restaurant for dessert. I love the people at Shindigs, and it pains me to give this feedback. I'm a foodie, and I appreciate good service and tip accordingly. I'm not one with restaurant experience, other than from a customer perspective. It just seems to me that someone should be teaching basic expectations to the staff, then hold them accountable for providing it. I assume the teaching has taken place, I just don't see the accountability by a leader following up.

He wanted a burger so he said here or Braum's...so here it was. We walked in, and there is a bar room and an eating room. We sat in the dining area, the fireplace on one wall is really aesthetic, otherwise it's a quaint, clean, hole-in-the-wall establishment... motorcycle parking up front (wish we'd brought our bikes). Hubby ordered a beer, it arrived in a frosty cold mug, just like he likes it. Also, as per tradition, fried mushrooms. As for food, he got a cheeseburger with seasoned fries and I got wings(enough to share) in mild sauce and sweet potato fries with sea salt. Our server was also the one preparing the food, he wore gloves, he worked quick, and was friendly. The workers talk to you like you're their neighbor, and everyone seems in a pretty good mood. Now on to the food...I am often jealous of my husband's selection, this is no exception. His burger looked like something your dad makes for Memorial Day, family picnics, and the 4th of July. It is thick and juicy, and I'd like to tell you that it tasted as good, but honestly, my husband didn't share. LOL He says I only needed to ask. I did try the fries, seasoned is DEFINITELY the way to go! YUM! HOWEVER, my wings were not missing a beat, they were delicious, fresh, and the sauce was super good. My sweet potato fries were excellent. The best part, with appetizer, three beers, and both our dinners, we still got out of there for less than $40. Overall, would definitely go back, very pleased with service, food, cleanliness, and cost. I definitely recommend you stop in.
