This is our family's favorite place for the perfect breakfast sandwich. Not only are they delicious, the prices are very reasonable. There are a few tables but mostly people get their order to go. It's cash only but they have an ATM there so easy to manage. Their staff are amazing, always welcoming and efficient. read more

DO YOU TAKE CREDIT CARDS YET. I promise you, me buying one sandwich is only going to cost you maybe 3 cents in fees VS when I don't come there for months / years because I don't carry cash & you earn nothing. They're good sandwiches, pleaseeeeee listen to your customers. You're forcing us to make other choices for breakfast over a simple Credit card transaction fee in 2026 that you don't want to pay. ( fyi it's faster than counting cash and giving change) ...Now I know it's going to look absolutely ridiculous when you finally have a sign saying " we take credit cards" but I promise I'll be there! read more

I stopped in yesterday to grab a BEC on my way to work and it was great! They are cash only but the prices are very good. Every time I have stopped in the staff has been very nice and the amount of bacon on the BEC is great. I have always grabbed my sandwich to go but they do have seating and it is always very nice and clean inside. read more

Billy D's Full Belly - Menu board - Delis Near Me - Shelton, Connecticut

The most fat/oil I've ever seen on a griddle. Literally a pool. I'll let you decide if that's a problem. The bacon was fried in a way that made it tough, not crispy. Same with the bread: it wasn't toasted but more.. dried out. Staff was nice, but sandwich was so bad I couldn't finish it. read more

Great place for a quick breakfast or lunch sandwich. Tasty food and friendly staff. The western sandwich is a favorite!

This is the best place to go to if you are craving a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast.

Quick spot to pick up an egg, cheese and bacon on a roll in the AM. It's cash only and sometimes there is a line but it goes quick. Don't let that deter you! Bacon is delish - I always the get the hangover which has a hashbrown on it! read more

Been there twice and it can't be beat. Julian and Sara are so pleasant, the breakfast sandwiches are delicious and generous portions. Gotta get a hash brown on the side. The Doubler sandwich made for two breakfast servings for me as it is huge and well worth the reasonable price. Highly recommend a stop at Billy Ds read more

Billy d's is an absolute masterpiece of an establishment, great food at extremely reasonable price. I have to bring my daughter to a Saturday morning gymnastics class around the corner & I had looked up a great place to have breakfast nearby while I waited for her to finish tumbling and this was the first place that popped up. Last time I drove by, there was a line out the door so long, I keep on driving. Today when I happened to drive by ~ no line! I knew this place would be good bc I could smell the grill when I got out of my car. Also, it took about 5 minutes for the cook to whip up five sandwiches, letting me know that the line last time was not because of show service, but a well-deserved reputation for delicious food. Just mind the steps when leaving... read more

Stopped by this cute little place on our way to Maine after staying at a local hotel overnight. As I perused the internet for a local place to have breakfast the night before, this place was one of the few to have a functioning page to check out the menu. We were not disappointed-the workers were super nice and the food was delicious! The price was extremely reasonable-we we're shocked to get four drinks and two amazing breakfast sandwiches for under $20! The Portuguese rolls were fresh and tasty. Great way to begin our trip! read more

Billy D's Full Belly - Bacon egg and cheese on a Portuguese roll - Delis Near Me - Shelton, Connecticut

They have cheap egg sandwiches and plates. Depending on who you are, you might feel that the eggs are a bit greasy / oily. Personally, this doesn't bother me. The sandwiches are pretty good. Keep in mind they are cash only!! read more

Listen. Sometimes you just need an egg sandwich. As a picky born-and-raised NY Deli snob, I'm forever chasing the perfect egg sandwich, and this absolutely nails that. Paired with a tall arizona iced tea? Perfection. Get the hashbrowns on your sandwich. No regrets. read more

Great little take out breakfast spot. Fantastic made to order breakfast sandwiches. Getting a double is so much and will fill you through the day. This is a cash only place so remember your $$. It gets busy because it's a great price for a great sandwich so be prepared for a little wait. Service is great and they have great ordering and paying system. read more

Best breakfast ever! Love the doubler. Reasonable price and quick friendly service. Great place to grab breakfast or

Waited 20 min for 1 egg sandwhich. Bacon was burnt, barely put any ketchup on it. Forgot to put on the mayo. read more

This place screams "Local!" Mostly regulars coming in for a cheap breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee mixed with a 'hello' from the owner and staff. Want a bacon egg and cheese sandwich? Only $4. Ham egg and cheese? $3.75. Bacon is good, egg was a tad over fried, but it's ok because the atmosphere just makes you feel like life is good and now that your belly is full, you can start your day. Beware, though, cash only. read more

Billy D's Full Belly - Breakfast burger - Delis Near Me - Shelton, Connecticut

Bacon is still always burnt to a crisp. There's a sign that says they're not Burger King, and you can't have it your way. It's accurate though. So don't bother asking for your bacon egg and cheese over easy. You're getting it his way. They are friendly though. read more

Holy shit the best god damn breakfast sandwich I've had. Stop fucking around and get a sandwich today.

Billy Ds and the D stands for Don't go. I went in today and was met with the most unwelcoming greeting from the man behind the counter. I ordered the steak sandwich which I had ordered the time before. The sandwich I was given I wouldn't even feed to a dog on the street. It was by far the MOST unappetizing steak I had ever seen slapped crookedly onto a microwaved piece of cheese. Down a level from prison food. Heard it's under new ownership it's sad to see the good fall so far from grace. read more

Billy D's Full Belly - Sandwich in question - Delis Near Me - Shelton, Connecticut

It's always exciting to discover a new egg sandwich spot and Billy D's will be my new go-to when I'm in Shelton. Fresh, fast and ridiculously inexpensive without holding back on the meats. Even without doubling the bacon it was the most I've ever seen on an egg sandwich. Throw a $1 hash brown on there and your good to go! read more

Please stop the fake posts, this place is not 5 stars. I came here once for a breakfast platter and the sheer amount of oil and fat used was terrible. Food was soaked in oil seeping through the bag. Food was horrible... Open your eyes and watch how it's cooked before you put your money down. read more

Well I have to say I'm a breakfast sandwich junkie. I've had pretty much every kind and place out there. My boss took me to Billy D's and when I tell you I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the doubler. Instead of double of one meat I asked for sausage and bacon with double egg and double cheese. The sandwich was fantastic. Now when it came time to pay I couldn't believe that all they charged was $5.00. Normally at any other place the sandwich I ordered would have been $8.00-$10.00 easy. Job well done over there. Can't wait to go back! read more

First time coming here in a very long time. I believe there are new owners. Place looks updated and is very clean. Grabbed a bacon, egg, cheese. Roll was fresh. Bacon was crispy. Egg cooked perfectly. Service was very friendly. They were playing some good tunes too. Might have to start coming here a bit more frequently. read more

Amazing food. Great service. So friendly and quick too! This is our go to breakfast spot!

Pretty disappointed that it's cash only and they gutted the inside aisles. If you're going to make it cash only then have an ATM. You literally took the convenience and this place is just not the same. Go to the "Greeks." They are a block away and they have drive thru and accept card. Wish Billy still owned it. read more

Fast. Simple. Inexpensive. Delicious. Nothing fancy here, but a GREAT spot for delicious breakfast sandwiches and more! Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, food was incredible, and I was in and out with a take-out order in about 5 minutes. Will definitely be back! read more

Ordered on the phone prior, was advised 10 minute wait. Show up at 10 minute window and they are making orders for the people ordering on the spot priority over my phone order from 15 minutes ago (which should have been ready five minutes prior). It is clear that the people who are regulars get precedent (maybe that's why there were 6 people waiting in line and not calling in). A regular who was small-talking while placing his order had cut in front of me in line. I was in the takeout line, and he legit just placed his order. He got his order instantly, and it took 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches for me. Not coming back here again. Post breakfast update. The hashbrowns were completely soggy and not edible. Juat an awful experience across the board. read more

What a pleasure the new management is , I was greeted very kindly and the food was deeeeelish !! Highly recommend stopping in .

One of the best places to get bacon egg and cheeses. Good price and they give a ton of bacon that is perfectly crisped.

Wanted a burger for lunch. I have come here for a breakfast sandwich before and it was ok. So I ordered a cheese burger. The patty was so thin you could see through it. The girl that cooked it was smashing it down into the flat top like it owed her money. She made sure that the burger would be as dry as cardboard. Cardboard would be a upgrade to this burger. The owner just talked to his friend and could care less. I don't know how they can stay in business just sell egg sandwiches. Because everything else sucks. read more

As one of the foremost experts on the modern Egg Sangwich let me just tell you this: There is not a large demand for Egg Sandwich experts. HOWEVER, this yelp review is pretty much what I've been eating all of these egg sandwiches for. This moment. One shot. One opportunity. Am I gonna let it slip? I have but 3 words to describe the experience that is going to Billy D's and dining on the world class Egg Sammies he makes whence you actually remember what day the place is open: Eggs, 25 cents, and welcome to the only place that will let you put six eggs on a sandwich without scolding you because your cholesterol is too high and you never put the seat down. I mean, come on, IF I DONT TOUCH THE SEAT RIM AFTER I DONT HAVE TO WASH MY HANDS. but I digress. You can literally add additional eggs on your sam-sam for just another quarter. No joke. double cheese? a quarter? A HASHBROWN ON YOUR EGG SANDWICH, JUST A DOLLAR. So as I order my 6 egg, double cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, AND EFFING HASHBROWN SANDWICH - (you know what, attractive female staff? I'm a man of moderate means, MAKE IT TWO PLZ) - TIME. STANDS. STILL. A FLOCK OF BALD EAGLES TAKE WING, A GAGGLE OF TRUMPETERS PURSE THEIR PROUD LIPS PROCLAIMING IN ALL THEIR BRASS BAND GLORY, WHILE LEE GREENWOOD REMINDS US WHY HE IS PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN - but our dear Lee is wrong, Billy D reminds me why I'm proud to be an American. Because when I actually remember that Billy D's Fully Belly Deli is only open on Saturday morning and I'm not too hungover to withstand the force of gravity - I can eat myself into an early grave and it won't even cost me more than 10 bucks. Thank you Billy D. Thank you. Now please, be open on Sundays so I can stop driving downtown for no reason and crying in my car. Amen. read more

Uh oh, looks like I'm the first reviewer that won't be giving this place a gushing 5-star review. The good news is this isn't a negative review in the least, just an honest one to provide a little more perspective. After reading all the rave reviews, I figured that I had to stop by and try one of their breakfast sandwiches. As mentioned in other reviews, Billy D's is a small breakfast/lunch shack that doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside is very dimly lit which gives the whole place kind of a dingy feel, though it did seem to be kept relatively clean. The staff was pleasant, and it was obvious that they are extra-friendly to their regulars. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I declined the optional hot sauce, salt & pepper or ketchup. It was made quickly, and was very inexpensive. Overall, it was... a slice of ham, an egg and a slice of cheese on a hard roll. It was exactly what was ordered, but nothing that you can't find at any other "greasy spoon", or even make at home. While the sandwich was good, it certainly wasn't anything to rave over as the other reviews would have me believe. I think the big selling point here is that the staff is friendly, the food is solid and prepared quickly, and it's a great value. All of which are great attributes for any business. Would I go back? Sure, no reason not to. Would I tell other to go there? Sure, why not? Would I drive out of my way to come here? Eh, probably not. So, Billy D's gets the old A-OK Yelp rating of 3 stars in my book. If stupid Yelp would allow half-star ratings then 3.5 stars. read more

Was just here. Although a sign on the door says that customers must wear masks while inside, I saw a customer walk in with no mask and the owner said nothing and continued to serve him. I will not be back because if they can't follow those rules are they really following the food safety and health rules either? read more
