Updating my original review... We are there multiple time a week, I'm glad they are back open. The good...the bruschetta, it's amazing and fairly priced. The bad...the chopped salad, don't get it. It's bad, the bacon is chewy, super soft. Also the dressing is not creamy, as advertised, it's runny. Also, the pretzel bites are not the same as other locations. The had no salt and the sauce is not the same, it's like nacho cheese. Not all of the workers follow protocols either. I'll try a pizza, but I'm disappointed with other items. read more

Our family got Billy Bricks for a Sunday lunch and had a great experience - the pizzas and salads were tasty, but it was really the customer service that earns this restaurant five stars. When we picked up our order, one pizza was missing - accidents happen. When we called back to ask about the missing pie not only did they apologize and replace it, not only did they upgrade the size and deliver it to us for free, but they were gracious and included some cakes and treats as well. Pizza was really good. The 'gourmet' bread bites weren't at all what I was expecting. It's literally just sliced bread with oil and cheese and not worth the $4. read more

My wife and I enjoy Brick's for what it is - and that is, Neapolitan style pizza made in a wood-fired oven. There aren't many places like this around, so we enjoy a break from the standard pizza fare. Quality of food: I think this is where 3 stars "A-OK." is a perfect description. This isn't mind-blowing Neapolitan style pizza, but it's not bad. It's, well...A-OK. I think the pizza might be a dollar or two cheaper based on the quality, but if I haven't had this style in some time, it's fine. Atmosphere: The place has a pretty cool and modern look. I especially like all of the repurposed shipping crates. The dining area is open with nice tables and chairs and a wonderful view of the large wood-fired oven. This place is situated within a large sports complex which is sort of odd, but I suppose it's nice if you want to grab a pizza after working out or shooting hoops. Everything was new and clean and in it's place. Staff: The staff was friendly, and got things moving fast. They even came by to clear away our table which was nice for a place that is non-wait staff. The manager took our order and was very friendly and had been with the company from some time so we felt good about that. Value: Again, just a few dollars cheaper and we might visit more often, but for now, it's one of the few places serving up this style of pizza so we'll take it. One pizza is good for two if you have a lighter appetite. I think a pizza and a salad is perfect for two, but if you are a bigger eater, it's not unreasonable to order a pizza per person. We'll go back I'm sure, as we've visited Brick's other locations in the past and have enjoyed it. TIP: for a more Italian experience, order a Pieroni with your pizza! read more

Terrible Customer service. I wanted to talk to a manager and i had been switched 3 different people bc i wanted to order party game package. Everyone told me its available online only. Online only u cant choose your items. Was on hold for 20 min waiting for manager and No answer finally hanged up and Ordered curb side pick up from normal menuand made 20 calls at scheduled pick up time and No one answered the phone to bring out the food. Went to this place last night with two of my friends and we were very confused as to why this place was located in a fitness place, until we realized that it was an indoor sports arena, which would make sense. We got there between 5-5:30pm and found out that they only had cheese, sausage and pepperoni pizzas left! We ended up leaving to go somewhere else. Very disappointed for our first time checking this place out. But, I'm not surprised that they'd run out of food due to the people watching the games that are going on within the arena. They really need to have more food available if there are games like that going on. We'll have to go to one of the other places next time, but not this location! read more

First off, food is phenomenal. It started with a order of a salad sub and pizza and pizza did not show up at door. We call, Maria answers and immediately recognizes the mistake and refunds our money and promises a free pizza for next order. We ordered again, and not only received amazing delicious food, but also 2 free pizzas to "remedy" the situation. What a place! And what food! Love it read more

The pizza here is just awesome. We relocated from the East Coast (Northeast) in 2012. Finding acceptable versions of what passes as thin crust pizza in the mid west is hard enough. You can find great deep dish around, but real NY style (chewy thin crust) is extremely scarce. Other than some overdone pizzas, its always been delicious. You can't compare them to the various chains around. Those are not really pizza. read more

* Update:* The manager called me the next day and was very apologetic. I really appreciated that and will give Bricks and second chance.* So I'm not one to leave reviews, but after my first and only experience at Bricks in West Dundee I feel as though I need to share. I ordered a pizza, appetizer and sandwich through door dash. When my pizza arrived it was not what I ordered, the bread bites were basically toasted French bread with no garlic, olive oil or parmesan cheese, and the sandwich wasn't even wrapped (half of it fell out). I called to complain and the girl who answered said "oh okay, thank you, bye." I actually was laughing because I couldn't believe what just happened. Then I called back and asked to speak to the manager, the guy on the phone which I did not get his name said that I could come and pick up the correct order. I declined, because the food could not be any better than what was delivered and I just wanted them to be aware of their mistake. Then the manager asked for my name, which I gave, but did not ask for a phone number or a last name. At this point I knew this was going no where, so I ended the conversation. Overall I would never order from this establishment again and would be sure not to suggest it to anyone. My dogs really enjoyed the "gourmet" bread bites though. read more

We stopped in last night for the first time. We will be back! The place is super clean, the staff was very helpful and kind. We ordered the bricks pizza and a Stromboli sandwich. We ordered the pizza well done and it was perfect, Very tasty , all fresh ingredients, great flavor. The sandwich was incredible. The bread was so fresh and the flavors were spot on. This place was FANTASTIC....we did a "Make Your Own Pizza" class. Giovanni Labbate and his mom were the greatest. We learned a lot about the history of pizza, how the crust differs from other pizza stores and other tidbits of information re: pizza and its origin. They did a fantastic job of showing us how to form the crust (by hand!) and all the ingredients you could imagine for your pizza. Wood firing pizza is much different from the regular pizzas and MUCH better!!! If you want to do a date night, family fun night or just learn more about pizza...take this class!!! Love Bricks, but HATED this particular location. My husband and I wanted to try this location out, as it is closer to where we live. We visited on a Monday evening around 730pm. The young lady who took our order acted very put out that we were even there to begin with. No greeting- in fact we had to say "hello," for her to even acknowledge the customers standing at the counter. Food was warm- but not nearly as good as the other Bricks location that we usually give our business to. For the owner of this Dundee restaurant - I would HIGHLY recommend that you take note of how Bricks in Lombard (Highland ave), not only treats their customers but also how they prepare their food (NOT sloppy, and thrown together). ALWAYS excellent service (worthy of the tip- asked for at time of purchasing food), and top notch prep of all food being served. Super disappointed with Dundee. We will continue to drive all the way to Lombard from Elgin, as our money is MUCH BETTER spent at the Highland ave location. read more
