On August 3, 2025, while heading to pick up my daughter from gymnastics camp, I entered Highway 101 Southbound from Old Redwood Highway (Westbound) and ran over an errant spike strip quill, the kind used by law enforcement. Within less than a minute, my left rear tire went completely flat. Being familiar with this stretch of highway and knowing the flat was on the driver's side, I continued driving about 1.25 miles to an extra-wide turnout across from Friedman's Home Improvement to ensure a safe distance from traffic in the #3 lane. I used the AAA app to request assistance, and Bill's Towing arrived promptly. I regret that I didn't catch the driver's name, but he was professional, courteous, and efficient. He immediately went to work and had the tire changed in about fifteen minutes. The call went out at 2:24 p.m., and I was back on the road and at the gym by 3:10 p.m. Thank you to the driver and the Bill's Towing dispatch/admin team. She called me, I called Bill's Towing (having seen their trucks around town) and within an hour the car was picked up and at the mechanic's. My mom got her Car towed back in September of 2023. We have called multiple times trying to locate the car and they first started saying that they had no record of them ever towing our car. Thankfully we have a whole police report proving that they did tow the car as well as pictures. My mom has multiple messages asking the owner and calling about the car and at this point he stopped responding. We have now started getting tickets that the car is being driven across the Golden Gate. We will be taking them to court. DO NOT EVER CALL THIS TOWING COMPANY. My daughter's car broke down in Petaluma today. Called AAA and they asked how many people would be riding in tow truck. They were told one. Driver shows up to tow car and told us they do not take riders and to find a way home. A 17 year old girl who was already in tears about her car dying. They obviously do not care about a person's safety. And if you break down on the freeway the driver stated they will take you as far as the next exit and drop you off there. Pathetic! I needed them to tow me to a tire shop and set my service at 11 a with an ETA of 1 hr - an hour and a half and it has since been 3 hours still waiting on a tow truck and they have switched drivers 3 times. Am not happy with this company whatsoever at this point I could have learned how to take the fucking tire off myself and put it back on and all they needed to do was tow me to a different spot. Transmission went out in my car and they towed it to/from the dealership! Wasn't worth the fix, so I had to tow it back to my house while I make arrangements. The communication from the office, driver, and everything in between was fabulous, both times! I was stuck in traffic when they went to pick my car up from the dealership, and the driver remembered me and my car and towed without me being physically present. Joe helped jumpstart my Honda but gave me some false information... he didn't know anything about Honda's he was a Dodge man! He said that I need a 100Amp Battery Fuse. That I should go to Napa and buy one. Which I did. But still the same problem. Car just wouldn't start. So Counterman Bill suggests we clean the battery terminals... we sprayed them with Brakecleaner and wire brushed them. That did the trick! Well I only spent $4.11 for a 100A fuse that I did not really need. Well it's new now. read more

I asked them to move their vehicle so that I was not late to work, and he refused. I called the office and the receptionist laughed at me and said they have 15 minutes legally to block me in when they are working. If they have no regard for other people and their time. I had car trouble and called AAA and they assigned Bill's towing to assist. AAA said ETA of an hour later. I called at 745am so ETA was 845am. I was all ready to head outside to wait, when I received a call from Bill's that they wouldn't leave until 9am to come to my house as they don't head South until after 9am (due to traffic). I understand about the delay, though wish they would have called to tell me this right away as I could have used my time more productively (every minute is crucial to me currently with my work). They would have gotten 5 stars if they would have called me between 745-8am to say there would be a delay. The driver arrived at 926am. The actual support went smoothly. This son of a b**** Steve Barnes the owner had the audacity and the gall to yell his head off like an ignorant child and make threats at my aunt, a lovely older woman who has never so much as raised her voice, she is very loving and her father just having gone through a heart attack that day, did not deserve the "service" provided by that vile excuse of a man Steve Barnes. I could not in good faith condone giving good business to this clown. I am LIVID and justifiably so, this dude who's old enough to be my Grandfather doesn't even have the common decency to respect a dignified and proper woman in front of his own staff. I am pissed that I have to even write this review and relive the horror story, its makes me angry because of the language barrier, my poor aunt didn't even have the recourse to respond accordingly! She just took herself to pay her debt and she did PAY and Steve Barnes the owner took it upon himself to belittle and be hostile to my aunt in all the ways possible until turning red in the face, over a simple misunderstanding about where the car was going to be taken after the accident. He completely took advantage of the situation and OVERCHARGED my aunt, when she wasn't even responsible for the accident hours before ,she didn't even call his lame towing company, the police did! He didn't even give her time to figure stuff out with her insurance or the person at faults insurance, he just railroaded her demanded money on the spot and was petty and vindictive. Running a business isn't about taking advantage of the situation, it's about respecting the customer and upholding good customer service despite what my FEELINGS are about the situation. Had a dead battery which I could jumpstart. Called AAA to install a new battery so we wouldn't have to jumpstart it again. He said something was draining the battery but said the alternator was ok. Horn honked when he hooked up his machine so he says he pulled the horn fuse to stop it. He also pushed a button on aftermarket alarm system. He put the fuse back in and horn didn't honk. We decided to just skip the new battery and jumpstart it again so we could either trade in or sell it. Next day it couldn't be jumpstarted anymore. The only thing that happened is he pulled the fuse and messed with the alarm system. Had them come again and John denied doing anything that could stop the car from being jumpstarted. Coincidence?
