Requested road side service thru my insurance and Bill's Towing was assigned. I've had two different tows by Bill's and both times, the drivers were very polite and professional. Since I went thru my insurance company, I did not have to deal with the invoices. Need a tow? Call Bill's Towinf. read more

Friendly and first rate service! Knowledgeable and organized. I highly recommend Bill's Towing. Thank you!

On August 3, 2025, while heading to pick up my daughter from gymnastics camp, I entered Highway 101 Southbound from Old Redwood Highway (Westbound) and ran over an errant spike strip quill, the kind used by law enforcement. Within less than a minute, my left rear tire went completely flat. Being familiar with this stretch of highway and knowing the flat was on the driver's side, I continued driving about 1.25 miles to an extra-wide turnout across from Friedman's Home Improvement to ensure a safe distance from traffic in the #3 lane. I used the AAA app to request assistance, and Bill's Towing arrived promptly. I regret that I didn't catch the driver's name, but he was professional, courteous, and efficient. He immediately went to work and had the tire changed in about fifteen minutes. The call went out at 2:24 p.m., and I was back on the road and at the gym by 3:10 p.m. Thank you to the driver and the Bill's Towing dispatch/admin team. Your quick, professional service turned a stressful situation into a manageable one. I truly appreciate it. See my Wheel Works - Petaluma review for another five-star. read more

Terrible service, terrible people, terrible business. Do not patronize these low-life "towers". Bottom of the barrel humans. Won't call back after multiple calls since towing my car in from of my tax-paying house. "Steve" is apparently the super towing manager that can't do his job...at a tow yard. Terrible service. Thieves who basically stole my car and charge outrageously unfair daily fees to store on their rock and portable chain link fence. Bad people. read more

John was very prompt in arriving and installing my new battery, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Bills Towing for your vehicle needs read more

I used to love them! I have used them for EVERYTHING. Helping seniors, myself, friends, lockouts, flat tires, tows they have always been great until tonight at 8/17/24 Tonight they disappointed me deeply. I arranged for a simple tow from the end of my lane to my house and they called to cancel after they agreed to tow and gave price and time. DO NOT USE BILLS TOWING!!! THEY USE AN ANSWERING SERVICE NOW AND ITS NO LONGER THE "Small Local Owned Business" you want to support. It's a shame. read more

Service quality from a towing company can vary depending on what's going at the time you call. However, this morning, my wife broke down getting onto the freeway on the way to work. She called me, I called Bill's Towing (having seen their trucks around town) and within an hour the car was picked up and at the mechanic's. I couldn't be happier with the experience at 06:30 in the morning. read more

My mom got her Car towed back in September of 2023. We have called multiple times trying to locate the car and they first started saying that they had no record of them ever towing our car. Thankfully we have a whole police report proving that they did tow the car as well as pictures. My mom has multiple messages asking the owner and calling about the car and at this point he stopped responding. We have now started getting tickets that the car is being driven across the Golden Gate. We will be taking them to court. DO NOT EVER CALL THIS TOWING COMPANY. I saw a similar case to ours in the review and even the same month. I will attach pictures soon. read more

Terrible rude drivers that do not follow lawful driving. Would not recommend if you care about your car.

I locked my keys in my truck and contacted USAA for a service call. Bill's Tow was the company that handled it. They were quick to arrive and had my door open in under three minutes. While it's never fun to NEED a tow truck, if you ever find yourself needing that particular service, they're the best. Thanks so much! read more

Rude, lazy, inconsiderate, A-hole.... no respect... as a AAA Customer I'd hope that this guy was the last person to show up road side for any reason. He'd probably be drunk anyway. Bill's Towing is great! I recently had a car towed in town and they were able to accommodate me very quickly, and for a great price! The driver was extremely nice and professional. Bill's Towing is my "go to" tow service. read more

Steve Barnes, the owner, in a nutshell was beyond unprofessional, extremely belligerent, and verbally abusive. All I can say is, as someone who runs their own business never in a million years would I treat my clients or ANY person with such threatening aggressive behavior- all because of a misunderstanding that had an easy solution. Paying the bill, which we did. Call for help, but at your own risk. read more

My daughter's car broke down in Petaluma today. Called AAA and they asked how many people would be riding in tow truck. They were told one. Driver shows up to tow car and told us they do not take riders and to find a way home. A 17 year old girl who was already in tears about her car dying. They obviously do not care about a person's safety. And if you break down on the freeway the driver stated they will take you as far as the next exit and drop you off there. Pathetic! Filing complaints with every agency that will take it. Mark P read more

Joe helped jumpstart my Honda but gave me some false information... he didn't know anything about Honda's he was a Dodge man! He said that I need a 100Amp Battery Fuse. That I should go to Napa and buy one. Which I did. But still the same problem. Car just wouldn't start. So Counterman Bill suggests we clean the battery terminals... we sprayed them with Brakecleaner and wire brushed them. That did the trick! Well I only spent $4.11 for a 100A fuse that I did not really need. Well it's new now. read more

Transmission went out in my car and they towed it to/from the dealership! Wasn't worth the fix, so I had to tow it back to my house while I make arrangements. The communication from the office, driver, and everything in between was fabulous, both times! I was stuck in traffic when they went to pick my car up from the dealership, and the driver remembered me and my car and towed without me being physically present. Totally helped me out when I was in a pinch! What could have taken me all day to coordinate another pick happened seamlessly without anything from me. Thanks bills towing, you guys are great! You're in good hands with these guys! read more

I needed them to tow me to a tire shop and set my service at 11 a with an ETA of 1 hr - an hour and a half and it has since been 3 hours still waiting on a tow truck and they have switched drivers 3 times. Am not happy with this company whatsoever at this point I could have learned how to take the fucking tire off myself and put it back on and all they needed to do was tow me to a different spot. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER ! After I waited for the tow he actually scraped the bottom of my car it's a low riding car and he definitely was not careful with someone else's property. read more

The owner of this company tried to run me off the road because he didn't like that I passed him. He was in his tow truck and not only endangered my life, but also risked whoevers car he was towing. Giovanni was the driver who came to pick up my vehicle after a horrible accident on Labor Day wknd. Thankfully, no one was injured, but I was a wreck. He deserves huge KUDOS for his professionalism in all ways. Giovanni worked diligently out in the sun to hook up two cars, informed both of us drivers about options and was so kind. He gave me a ride w/my car to Bill's Towing lot and assisted me with filing my claim and all details therein. I felt safe as he was respectful and knowledgeable, too! Thank you, Giovanni! read more

I had car trouble and called AAA and they assigned Bill's towing to assist. AAA said ETA of an hour later. I called at 745am so ETA was 845am. I was all ready to head outside to wait, when I received a call from Bill's that they wouldn't leave until 9am to come to my house as they don't head South until after 9am (due to traffic). I understand about the delay, though wish they would have called to tell me this right away as I could have used my time more productively (every minute is crucial to me currently with my work). They would have gotten 5 stars if they would have called me between 745-8am to say there would be a delay. The driver arrived at 926am. The actual support went smoothly. The tow truck driver loaded and unloaded my car carefully and let me ride along to the shop. He was respectful and professional. He didn't give his name and I had forgotten to ask. read more

I was parked in a private parking lot and they pulled right behind me to load up a damaged vehicle and blocked me in. I asked them to move their vehicle so that I was not late to work, and he refused. I called the office and the receptionist laughed at me and said they have 15 minutes legally to block me in when they are working. If they have no regard for other people and their time. Why would you want to give them your business. read more

John came out to open my car after I locked myself out and he was super speedy about getting there. Thank you, John!

AAA sent them. The guy who showed up was so hostile it was scary. Very weird experience

This son of a b**** Steve Barnes the owner had the audacity and the gall to yell his head off like an ignorant child and make threats at my aunt, a lovely older woman who has never so much as raised her voice, she is very loving and her father just having gone through a heart attack that day, did not deserve the "service" provided by that vile excuse of a man Steve Barnes. I could not in good faith condone giving good business to this clown. I am LIVID and justifiably so, this dude who's old enough to be my Grandfather doesn't even have the common decency to respect a dignified and proper woman in front of his own staff. I am pissed that I have to even write this review and relive the horror story, its makes me angry because of the language barrier, my poor aunt didn't even have the recourse to respond accordingly! She just took herself to pay her debt and she did PAY and Steve Barnes the owner took it upon himself to belittle and be hostile to my aunt in all the ways possible until turning red in the face, over a simple misunderstanding about where the car was going to be taken after the accident. He completely took advantage of the situation and OVERCHARGED my aunt, when she wasn't even responsible for the accident hours before ,she didn't even call his lame towing company, the police did! He didn't even give her time to figure stuff out with her insurance or the person at faults insurance, he just railroaded her demanded money on the spot and was petty and vindictive. Running a business isn't about taking advantage of the situation, it's about respecting the customer and upholding good customer service despite what my FEELINGS are about the situation. Steve Barnes met NONE of those standards, he clearly feels he's above doing honest and good business. He does not even have the spine to be a good and decent human being to a kind woman, who has a family that adores her. Under no circumstances do I recommend this place if you care about your family's safety, ever. The manipulation ,the name calling, the hostile behavior.Do not do business here. read more

Had a dead battery which I could jumpstart. Called AAA to install a new battery so we wouldn't have to jumpstart it again. He said something was draining the battery but said the alternator was ok. Horn honked when he hooked up his machine so he says he pulled the horn fuse to stop it. He also pushed a button on aftermarket alarm system. He put the fuse back in and horn didn't honk. We decided to just skip the new battery and jumpstart it again so we could either trade in or sell it. Next day it couldn't be jumpstarted anymore. The only thing that happened is he pulled the fuse and messed with the alarm system. Had them come again and John denied doing anything that could stop the car from being jumpstarted. Coincidence? You decide. read more
