They don't own up to their poor quality sometimes and if you request your money back they will never work on anything for you again

We compared other motorcycles to the Husqvarna 401 and just couldn't find any other small cc bike that could compare.

Well, I was definitely not the easiest customer to work with. I talked to Scott, about a year…read morebefore about the idea of buying a Harley. He never hassled me, called me, texted me etc. He just let me stew on the idea. A year goes by, and I go back in to talk to Scott. He remembered who I was and what kind of bike I was interested in. So we start walking around the show room, and I end up landing on a brand new 2023 Road Glide. They put a sold tag on it, and I left for the day, planning to return a few days later to finish up the paperwork. While I was gone, I had a change of heart. I told him I really wasn't comfortable spending that much money on a bike and that I actually didn't want the new bike. He never got angry or upset! We went next door and started looking at used bikes. I must have been with him for over an hour and a half at that point just sitting on bikes, starting them up etc. FINALLY I landed on a used street glide. We went next door, did the finance stuff etc. As difficult as I was with making a decision, never once did Scott pressure me or try to force me to buy something. He truly cared about me and my needs. While I was there, he gave me 100% of his attention. It was as if no other person was there! Which I greatly appreciate. I even brought my wife and kids in, and Scott was GREAT with them. Overall, Timbertown treated me great! I am 100% satisfied with my service and purchase. The store is very clean, organized and they have a great selection. The service guys and part counter guys are awesome as well. I would highly recommend that you go in and ask for SCOTT!

I am just starting out with riding and don't have much experience with it. The culture, needs, and…read morerequirements to do it safely and successfully can be a little daunting. And expensive. Leather riding gear especially, you can need a lot to stay warm and protected and that adds up. Leather is particularly a pain, since generally it is altered to fit and isn't easily returnable...so getting the wrong thing will make your life miserable and expensive. I shopped around a little in Salem to get an idea of what I was going to be spending. My mind was swimming with the extravagance of cost. And though I got some pretty detailed help at the Harley-Davidson shop, the prices were pretty big. Other stores just kind of let me cruise around. I tried various things on and it was alright, but I felt a little out of my depth. Then I strolled into Hawg Haven, upon suggestion of a friend. The shop is dark and very biker-esque. Almost felt like I had walked into the clubhouse of the Sons of Anarchy. Helmets, chaps, gloves, and all sorts of add-ons lined the walls. In the back of the place is a full leather alteration shop, right next to a large array of leather jackets and vests. The staff was immediately helpful, but since I was just looking, I kind of waved them off. I checked the prices before trying them on. Where other stores had set their prices around $300 and up, most of the jackets I found at Hawg Haven were of similar quality, and went for $150-$300. Having to buy everything else at once, I didn't want to go all out on my first gear, and I actually found a pretty damn good jacket on clearance for $100. I tried it on, it fit pretty damn good, and I took it up to the counter and left it there to go and look at some other stuff. When I got back to the counter, with a new bandana in hand, the amazing lady there (I'm pretty sure she's one of the owners) asked me if the jacket fit good. I said it did, but she looked skeptical and asked again, stressing how too big a fit can get air up under the surface and cause problems. I offered to try it on and she took one look at me and told me it was too big. She then went and got the same style jacket, but a size smaller, and told me to try it on. I did and the fit was very much different, and exactly what she said I was supposed to look for. It was also the same price...no upsale here! She then eyeballed me and told me exactly the size of chaps I would need, when I was ready for them. She told me their shop will alter them to fit perfectly as well. This person clearly, CLEARLY, knew her business if she could pick out at a distance that I was getting too big of an item. And she got me the exact thing I needed, saving me future misery. And she threw in a head cap complimentary, to go on under my helmet. And all with me buying a bottom-of-the-line, entry-level clearance jacket from Pakistan. Wonderful. Simply wonderful. When I upgrade my jacket, and get the rest of my gear, I will not bother going to any other joint in Salem. Nay, in Oregon. The people here obviously love riding, they love bikers, and they absolutely know their stuff. And it's a local business, not a chain. Don't bother checking any other place out...this is the place to be. Absolutely.

A master motorcycle seat tailor…read more A motorcycle garage shop that builds, modifies and repairs motorcycle seats for your ride. Also atvs, snowmobile and other riding type seats. The process starts with a phone call. Ryan will ask about your motorcycle year, make and model to get an idea of the project. He will ask you about the issues with the bike seat's comfort, stiffness, shape, stock or custom. He asks a bit more detail about you and your bike. Next is setting up an appointment while you are still on the phone. Typically he works with only one client each day. He focuses on your motorcycle seat. Estimate appointment time is 4 to 6 hours. So when you go in, Ryan will tie your bike into a rack and start walking over your seating position while you are sitting on your own bike. He will ask about pressure points, comfort areas, positioning, etc. Ryan is a great communicator and he lets you know what he is planning to improve on your seat and his process including pulling the seat apart, identifying the contents, the process and additional materials. Your presence is highly encouraged so he can involve you in the custom fitting of each phase of the seat to your needs and your wants. For my seat, we had about five sitting's and conversations about comfort and pressure points. (See the photos) He shaped the existing foam with pocket to move me into a more neutral position. Originally the seat pushed me forward into the tank. Then he carved a pocket adjacent to my tailbone to ease pressure. Then Ryan started on the layers of memory foam. This project took three layers, flat base, one middle, and one top and side layer. Each being cut and shaped and added back approximately one and a half inches of memory come for comfort. Ryan reused my existing third-party leather/synthetic leather seat cover. He can replace the cover according to your needs with other material design choices. Including leather, alligator, or other materials. (Delays may be needed if materials asked are not on hand). I road down from the Portland area to get my seat rebuilt. Working with Ryan (he did all the real work), we spent four hours on this project. Final results, I'm able to ride my Scout for a hours longer with a great reduction in pressure points and pain. UPDATE: I road my scout to the coast along a windy mountain road, so cool. The seat performance was exceptionally comfortable! THANK YOU Ryan.
