They did not tell me that the inspection comes with any service, nor did they give me the ability to opt out beforehand on the information sheet I filled out. They tried to charge me 300$ for the oil change because my oil cap was stuck on from my last oil change. They told me my headlights were fine, I have had to get out of my car and push them back in to get them working leaving my job at midnight twice since I've left that shop, which is the issue I wanted fixed. They also quoted me 10k for the other damage to my car, which I was already aware of because I PAID for an inspection with another shop. Now, two weeks later, I'm getting new lights on my dash and my car is running horribly, which never happened after my Walmart oil changes (though they got my cap stuck). Everything about this place is sketchy, they WILL damage your car to get you back in the shop, do not trust this business. I will be taking my car somewhere that has some business standards.

We eventually got to the part where they're fixing my car, where, again the plan was for them to communicate with me when it was done. After not hearing from them for a week, and not having a car for 2 1/2 weeks I called yet again to see how things were going. Was told my car had been sitting there finished for 5 days. They said they called me. I showed them my phone log with no calls from them. They smugly didn't give a F. Got a text from "Dave" about a month later to see how the vehicle was running. I gave him feedback about the poor communication. No reply. He kept messaging me asking how the vehicle was running at monthly intervals or so. I finally asked if I was talking to a bot or a human due to the absolute lack of recognition of my comments. He then started mocking me acting like he was a bot. See photo. These guys don't care how you feel. I was told we have plenty of work. If you don't like how we work we don't need your business. Their pricing is not competitive. The people here love the cars they work on, it shows in the outstanding service and attention to detail. They also have a really cool and comfortable waiting room with vintage mercedes/BMW manuals and brochures, it's like a german car museum. I'd originally taken my car into Point S in Beaverton, and they found a leak that they said was…read more'massive' and they quoted me what I thought was an outrageous amount to fix it. So I decided to go to Certified Automotive Repair for a 2nd opinion. I took my car in, and later that day John called me back and explained that I did indeed have a leak, but it wasn't massive at all - in fact, it was so not massive that he couldn't be 100% where the leak was coming from, so he advised on putting in some dye in various fluids and then drive it around for a few days and bring it back to pinpoint exactly where the leak(s) are. That sounded like a very prudent idea, so a week later I brought it back, and John informed me of the bad news - I had 2 leaks, not one. The good news though was that the total price for everything (the dye, and fixing both leaks) would end up being the same as Point S's quote for just the 1 leak! So I gave the ok, and after leaving my car with them for a day, I picked it up, and everything seems to be as good as new! I most likely will be coming back to Certified Auto Repair for any future issues/maintenance with my car. They've earned a new customer! Very thorough repairs, service advisors are civil and explain things carefully, and they will drive you home and pick you up if you don't have an alternate ride. And for a two-bay shop, they were able to take me in very quickly, and did not keep the truck longer than one overnight. Nowadays, EVERY visit to a shop means a bill in high three figures, if not low four figures, and I have no way to calculate comparative economics. Certified is now my go-to repair shop. Preferred over AJ's and definitely over Power GMC.

These guys took great care of me again and did a fantastic job. Phil at the front desk and the guys in the shop are on top of it and I will not be going any place other than Brothers. Other mechanics would just take the money, do the repair, and the customer would end up paying in the future for additional costly repairs. We're sticking with these mechanics.
