Bill's Big Brunch and Tropical Juices. Cappuccino Caffè

Nice and courteous service. Food excellent. Close to historic place. Highly recommend

3.75 stars. After several visits to London, I finally made it to Bill's, a charming eatery with several locations across the UK known for their breakfast. Interestingly enough, the items that made up Bill's Big Brunch were the ones I liked least; I could find nothing to enjoy between the extra fatty bacon, baked beans with an aftertaste, & potatoes that were as hard as rocks. However, everything else we ordered was fantastic! Brunch was completely salvaged by extremely tasty appetizers, fried halloumi with chilli honey & miso padron peppers, & a soft, pillowy dessert of mini cinnamon donuts with chocolate & dulce de leche sauces. Make a note of these three dishes; they're the makings of a delicious beginning & ending to your next meal at Bill's.

Huge fan of this place! My dad and I were in London for 3 days and stopped here twice. The first time we came for brunch and really enjoyed the English breakfast. While dining, we saw a sign for bottomless pancakes and decided to come back to check that out before our flight out of town. The pancakes were quite heavy, but delicious! The service was excellent and very friendly. They were happy to keep bringing us pancakes!

Good portions and delicious food for an affordable rate. First tip: order the donuts and coffee. You can sub out the coffee for a pot of tea or go for some hot chocolate (which is what I did). The hot chocolate was amazing and it came with five donuts which were honestly more like beignets. Just make sure you eat them while they're warm with the dulce de leche sauce. The BBQ bourbon burger was also delicious. It came with an infuser which was a nice touch. The rosemary salted fries which came with it finished the meal off perfectly and I was more than full. The entire meal came out to around £24 which made for a great brunch.

The ketchup was the best thing I've ever had. And the burger was delicious. From South Carolina

Ok - just, fairly pretentious with the waiters professing that they are 'floating around' and 'slowly waking up, so don't rush them'. Not great when you have been waiting 20 mins for a menu to get some breakfast. The food selection is ok but nothing to write home about. I had the scrambled eggs and bacon on toast, with a juice and coffee. All very pretty looking but it is a case of style over substance, the toast was tough, the bacon was chewy and the eggs were tepid. The highlight was the juice and coffee which were excellent. Overall ok, but prefer a greasy spoon any day.

Stumbled upon Bill's after strolling along the South Bank, the menu looked nice so we gave it a try. I'm glad we did, everything was very tasty and reasonably priced for the area. I had the mac n cheese which was filling but delicious, we then split a sticky toffee pud for dessert! Only 4 stars because although the cocktails sounded quite nice there were small and watered down quite a bit by excess ice chips.

A very charming place with a lot of great atmosphere. All of the staff are extremely nice and welcoming. Everyone made you feel really welcome. The coffee and mocha were really great. The rest of the food was OK - we had bills breakfast and vegetarian breakfast. they do add a small service charge to the bill.

Such a cute and cozy restaurant. Fish pie was awesome!!

The basement has a bar, lounge and restaurant. It was a little noisy. But we could still talk. The roasted scallops were cooked perfectly. The green sauce was tasty. I love the presentation. The Bill Marrow was also good. It was very rich. There were two kinds of Sunday roast a sirloin and a rump. Three of us had the rump roast dinner and three had the sirloin roast dinner. It was hard to tell the difference. All the dinners came with roasted potatoes greens and of course, Yorkshire pudding. It was all delicious. I have to say my favorite part is always the Yorkshire pudding. I also have a green salad, which is basically just lettuce with a light dressing. It was very fresh. We were too full for dessert. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and given water. In the UK, you can order sparkling, still or tap. Sparkling and still come with a charge. Tap is usually free. Our server was attentive without hovering. It's a good idea to make reservations at Hawksmoor especially for the Sunday roast. We got there at three by the time we left around 4:30 some of the roasts were already sold out. Just a note: Sunday roost is usually a late lunch not a dinner. It's good to go between two and four especially if you don't have a reservation.

Not a big place, not many tables, but we were able to stand at a section of the bar that gave us the best view of the performance and Tom Carradine at his piano. By the end of the night the place was packed, people drawn in by the sounds of the music and the crowd, such fun! Minced Beef & Onion: The most popular, apparently. Smooth and moist inside with a buttery flaky outside. Steak & Stout: Same great crust, but with a very distinctive inside, chunks of firm roast and thick gravy where you could actually taste the stout. Probably my favorite pie here. Chicken & Mushroom: A nice variation from beef, but by no means lesser. With it's large chunks and umami gravy, this was like a quick hit fix for when craving a proper chicken pot pie. Mash & Gravy: The mash was smooth and buttery. The gravy was more than plentiful. Kinda lives under the shadow of the delicious pies though. Sticky Toffee Pudding: Good, but not great. The toffee sauce felt a bit too thick and wasn't as warmed as I like it. The sponge cake was alright, but kinda dry, like they just plopped into the toffee sauce puddle. But it did do a good job of soaking up the sauce with a little spoon dexterity.
