The only problem I have with Bill's is determining how to narrow down my selection. With three ravenous kids in the house, we typically get the dozen and a half but still have a difficult time not exceeding that by about a dozen or so. Terrible business communication. I've had Bill's Donuts quite a few times through the years now. I even got a dozen for my birthday this year instead of a cake (highly recommend). But I'd never actually visited their shop until recently. Let me tell you, not only are their donuts some of the best, their shop is adorable, smells wonderful, and in a nice area of Centerville. The donuts are always light and fluffy, and they have a good mix of "experimental" and classic flavors. I've never had a good donut shop within a good driving distance and was pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. We saw Bill's on a FB post about the best doughnut shops per state, and we were going to be close by, so my friend and I decided to stop. The place is cute, feels definitely old-timey and like you've stumbled across a hidden gem. My friend and I got the blueberry, the pretzel, and the peanut butter filled. None of them were earth-shattering, and the blueberry tasted meh and had a pocket of raw dough (batter?) in the middle. My friend said the PB was good, and the pretzel was okay. The price was my favorite part, all of that plus an orange juice and a chocolate milk for under $6. read more

My favorite are the pretzel twists with cinnamon, the yellow creme filled, the pinwheel with nuts, and today had straight from the oven red velvet cake with cream cheese icing! I've been going to Bill's since the 80's. They are an institution in Centerville. The doughnuts are wonderful are worth all of the awards and acclaim. My favorite are the sour cream doughnuts. The chocolate mousse filled are my son's favorite, but you need to get there early because they usually sell out. The maple bacon are great too. It seems like no matter what time of day you go there is always a line. I've met people in line from all over the country and a few from abroad as well. Very tasty donuts. I had them once before visiting because a friend brought them to a class. The butter and cinnamon twists are awesome same with the donut holes. I also like how they have additional pastries in their cases as not everyone likes donuts. Next time o will for sure have to try one of their muffins! The m&m cookies were pretty good. Best donuts I have ever had bar none. I have grown up within 15 minutes of Bills and was introduced to it young and have been going back ever since. You know you're going to have a good donut when you show up at literally anytime of the day and there could be a line there. I have not tried all their donuts, I stick with anything chocolate, I am sure they are all as good as the ones I have had. A lot of people at my uni rave about Bill's yet it was an okay experience. They do have tasty donuts, but not a crazy amount of variety or originality.
