After stopping by a more helpful store at Poplar Level Road first and looking for a battery, they directed me to the Preston Hwy store that had the common battery I was looking for. After spending $256.50 on a Duralast Gold Battery 24F with a TOTALLY EMPTY STORE with NO CUSTOMERS except for me, they said after buying they didn't have the staff to help out and install. This was after I pulled up and two employees were sitting on the curb and the other was inside playing on his phone. Again no customers and no customer service by Lilly and Alix. PATHETIC SERVICE......IGNORANCE HAS NO EXCUSE. When I went back in to get a refund on the battery core charge, everyone just playing on their phone. SHAME ON YOU for your pathetic service.

I went to two other places first to try and get the code read when my engine light came on, but they weren't doing those things during COVID. PepBoys was. Their retail area is not operating at this time, but they are doing repairs. And they were able to find a coupon code to take out a bit of the sting of the cost of my repair. BUT. They have the waiting area set up for appropriate social distancing, and a second waiting area set up. But another guy who was waiting at the same time as me decided that instead of seating himself in one of the 4 other spots that could view the television...he would go to the one spot that could not see the TV....and instead move the chair next to me. So, I decided to go for a walk while my car was being worked on. There are plenty of posted signs saying what they were doing during COVID, including wearing gloves, wearing masks, and wiping down surfaces at certain intervals. And I can confirm that NONE of those things are happening. Everyone at the counter *had* masks, but they were wearing them like beards. Completely useless. No one had gloves on at anytime inside the store. And I never saw a wiping down of any surface. I didn't really have many options. And thankfully, I was able to leave the store for a while during my repair and distance myself. But they are flouting their own posted rules, which feels unsafe and...like why even say what you are doing to keep safe and clean when you are going to stand directly behind that sign doing the exact opposite of what is stated?

ISA has a large, spacious, air conditioned structure with a professional staff that is ready to point you in the direction of the vehicle you need. Speaking of which, finding the vehicles you're looking for couldn't be easier! There is signage! Honest-to-god signage that says things like "Ford Trucks" rather than "Domestic Truck / Van / Car." The yard is tidy, with nicely raised vehicles and without the flotsam and jetsam of discarded parts that normally litters the ground. Also, free of charge, they make wheel barrows available for you. How awesome is that?! Anyone who's lugged their toolbox around and then tried to figure out how they're going to get the parts they need up to the counter can agree that this idea works. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The prices are good (for salvage parts, anyway) and the availability of vehicles is pretty decent. I called late Monday and asked if they could do it for my specific vehicle, and by the end of the week because I was heading out of town for Labor Day weekend and needed it to haul our trailer. In about 30 seconds she said "If you can let me now by the end of the day we can get you in Wednesday afternoon". A quick phone call to the wife later and I called her back to confirm. After the runaround and the lack of interest in what I was trying to do at U-Haul, this was the best news I could have gotten. Wednesday afternoon I showed up at 2pm, gave them my keys and sat down in the waiting room while they installed the hitch. All of the staff I interacted with at Dukes was knowledgeable and friendly. The sales floor is packed with more stuff having to do with hauling that I ever imagined existed. About an hour-and-a-half later they came to get me, I paid, and I was on my way. Sure, I paid more than I would have a U-Haul, but there's something to be said for convenience and a staff that cares about their customers. I know it's a short order for a big ask, especially with a holiday weekend coming up, but when the voice on the other end said "Yes, we can!" I knew I'd made the right choice.

He stayed in constant and efficient communication with me and called in help from an outside source to handle the issues that were not their expertise and at the end of the 2 weeks, we drove out and picked up the trailer and met him and his staff....
