I've been TRYING to test drive a 2022 Pathfinder for 5 full months and today was the 1st time that I was given the chance to do so due to the parts and computer chip shortages. Silvia Ivanova was my salesperson and she's easy to work with and is someone that went out of her way to keep us in mind. We were able to work out a deal and the car was the model with the options that I wanted. It was a stress-free purchase and that's hard to do at times with most car lots. He then says he can refer me to his engine guy????? What ???? After having my car for a month and him admittingly saying he really hasn't got to look at good and offers me a referral to his engine guy. Are you serious??? He should have just been upfront immediately and said this job is above his skill level or to big of a job and that he only does oil changes, brake jobs, and tire rotations . Have some integrity and communicate honestly with your customer. I've now wasted a month and I'm going to have to get the car towed to a reputable shop. He quoted me $200 for the labor (about 1.5 hours) and that was what I ended up paying when the work was completed. I dropped the car off after hours on a Sunday using the key drop box. He called me around 10 AM Monday to tell me the work was done. The car has been working great so far! I'm very happy with how it all worked out. I immediately went back in and told them. The first thing he said was "tow truck driver did it". He didn't even go out to look, he already knew. He told me he had to force it out of park to get it into the bay. I left the car there and found a new steering column for just under $200 that I paid for. They charged me over $200 for labor to install it. To be fair, so far the original electric problem seems fixed, but I just picked it up this morning, but I am out just under $500 because they negligently broke the transmission shifter. Maybe if they had admitted it and ate the labor I would be satisfied, after all, s&#@ happens, but they didn't. We all make mistakes, but it seems few own up to them these days.
