Let's be real. If you're reading a review on a scrap yard on yelp, you probably shouldn't be going…read morein the first place. I personally think this is the best one in town. I've been a half dozen times or so and have always found something I wanted/need for one of my cars. I think the sections are fairly well organized, and if you take the time to look up what you need online they label where everything is on the yard. I've found this to be helpful, as the cars are always where they say they are. Zero gate fee if you're military, and that's a cool bonus. Saves you a few bucks every visit.

I have been to a number of pick-ur-part style junkyards and I was really impressed by ISA…read more First of all, the facility itself is really professional. I'm used to places where they have a shack, a turnstile and you give some guy a couple bucks to go in. ISA has a large, spacious, air conditioned structure with a professional staff that is ready to point you in the direction of the vehicle you need. Speaking of which, finding the vehicles you're looking for couldn't be easier! There is signage! Honest-to-god signage that says things like "Ford Trucks" rather than "Domestic Truck / Van / Car." The yard is tidy, with nicely raised vehicles and without the flotsam and jetsam of discarded parts that normally litters the ground. Also, free of charge, they make wheel barrows available for you. How awesome is that?! Anyone who's lugged their toolbox around and then tried to figure out how they're going to get the parts they need up to the counter can agree that this idea works. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The prices are good (for salvage parts, anyway) and the availability of vehicles is pretty decent. I was not expecting such a good experience, but I'm very happy to know that ISA is around!

Shouts out to the wonderful young man who helped us as we were on our way to FL for spring break…read more Sadly, I did not catch his name, bu the owns Cook Motorsports. It was 30 minutes before closing. We were driving along on I-65 when my 2016 Acura engine started jerking and the dash started showing various emissions messages. We pulled off and got something to eat to strategize. Of course the Acura dealership was already closed since it was 8 PM so I sat at Taco Bell googling emissions error messages. Decided maybe step 1 was to get a new battery. Always had luck with/O'Reilly in my home town of Lafayette, IN so headed there. Explained the situation to the nice young man and he came out to look at my car. Was not able to test the electrical system because he could not find my OBD2 port. But he continued to ask questions and I showed him the error message. I popped my hood and he suggested we look at my engine air filter. It was pretty dirty. I replaced that with a new one and got premium gas as he recommended. Voilà! Error message and car ran perfectly! We made it to FL smoothly. This young man deserves a raise! (I am being totally serious--he deserves a raise!). Best customer service ever! Thank you for your patience and your assistance. You saved our trip and saved me lots of $ (the Honda dealer in town wanted $140 to replace the filter). Excellent experience with an excellent human being.
