I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience. I brought my 2018 Hyundai Elantra in for repairs and was given a quote of $1,394, which I approved. When I picked up the vehicle, my total came to $1,806.92 -- about $500 more than the original quote. I was never contacted to approve any additional repairs or charges. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed I was charged for a part that was never installed. It took five days of contacting the owner to get $135 refunded for that item. I also noticed I was billed $300 for a part that costs around $145 at Advance Auto Parts. When I asked for clarification about the additional $500 beyond the original quote, I was told to speak with the shop manager. The manager is the one who authorized the charges in question, and I never received a clear explanation. The repair involved a timing chain and camshaft gear -- a common issue on this vehicle. While the car is now running properly, the lack of communication, additional unapproved charges, and billing for a part that wasn't installed made this a frustrating experience. I don't mind paying for quality work. I do mind being charged more than agreed without authorization and having to chase down a refund for something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. read more

Thee worst place to take your vehicle... replaced water pump. Then we picked the vehicle up same day drive straight to Fairdale. Vehicle breaks down at exit. So we tow vehicle back to shop Before hand vehicle was having no issues besides water pump. Now vehicle needs complete wiring harness, and no telling whatever else. We were recommend Showtime Auto by a friend on Facebook. The original person I had dealt with there didn't seem to know what was going on which really had me worried. After expressing my concerns James, the owner, stepped in and got all the service done I had requested. We had taken our 20' gooseneck trailer in to be rewired, all the lights exchanged to LED's, and new break wired up on trailer. James is super nice, takes the time hear you and understand exactly what you want done. The price to get the wiring and lights done was cheaper there than anywhere else I had checked, which is always a bonus! I'm from Mt Washington so some good down home hospitality goes a long way. My car broke down in the Kroger parking lot I went in first thing Saturday morning to see if they could take it and to recommend a tow service. They said that they had a tow service and would be picking it up this weekend. No phone call, Monday morning it was still there. I called and left a message and my mom called on my behalf 4x before they picked up the phone. Said it would be picked up that morning, claimed it was just that they were backed up. 2 pm and my mom calls Kroger and it is still there. Calls Showtime 2 more times to let them know that my grandpa was coming to get the key. He gets there and they don't have the key. Little bit later they call my mom back to tell her they have the key now, the driver had had it. And then hangs up on her. Finally got the key and am trying to get it to another mechanic before Kroger has my car towed. I would not have minded if the car took awhile; but the complete lack of communication about when they would pick it up when it is on someone else's property is simply unacceptable. read more

Customer beware!!!! Avoid at all cost!!! Of any and all mechanics I've ever dealt with this has by far been the worst. I've gone to this mechanic about 4 times beginning in the summer of 2021. Things were fine and I thought I had found a mechanic. I was definitely wrong. In September I took my car in to deal with some oil related issues. One of the tasks was replacing the valve cover. I was charged $54.00 for a part that I later found out was available from anywhere between $18 and the most expensive I found was $30. So they'll screw you out of money on parts. Then my check engine light came on about 2 weeks ago. I took it in for a o2 sensor replacement. When I get my car back it is SUDDENLY leaking oil. I've had this car for 5 years and it's NEVER leaked oil. I don't know what happened at the shop, but when I had it, it wasn't leaking oil. When I got it back it was. No one was inside of my car except the people at this shop. You take that to mean whatever you want. So I take it back in and they tell me they need to replace a valve cover. Wait, that sounded familiar. Like the valve cover you replaced in September? I tell them to do what they need to do to fix trhe car. I check my receipt and sure enough, it's the exact same part they replaced in September. Same part number and everything. So now I'm paying them again for a job that they did 6 months ago. Of course the part from them was still $20 more than the most expensive one I could find. So I picked up my car the second time in two weeks on Friday. I drove a bit over the weekend, but by Monday I'm noticing a stronger and stronger smell of burning oil. The guy said that there was oil all over the engine because of the broken valve cover... The one they replaced 6 months ago... So I figured that maybe some of it was burning off. Well, when smoke started coming from under my hood I decided it was maybe more than that. When I open my hood I can see the smoke flowing out and right there on my engine was the oil fill cap just sitting there. Someone had neglected to put the oil fill cap back on. There is oil all over my engine. I left the hood up and called the mechanics and they came to look at it at my house. They said they got it taken care of. So I ask about a refund for the money I'd paid them. I feel like this kind of oversight would definitely warrant a good faith refund of at least the labor cost. So I call back and they can't help me. Has to be the owner. So I ask for the owner to call me. He never calls. I finally call back and they will offer a refund of the $30 for the oil change. I feel like a refund of the $140 labor cost is more reasonable, given the potential severity of oil sloshing all over my engine. The first thing I say is "I'd like to get a full refund to make up for my engine potentially blowing up." And the owner says "you're engine isn't going to blow up, don't talk to me like I'm fucking stupid, I've been doing this since I was 8 years old." Wow! What a response from a business owner! I was pretty shocked. Then he said "We will take all the parts out of your car and give you a full refund." Well, I'm happy to pay for the parts, but I really feel like a refund of the labor would be appropriate since the labor wasn't done correctly. TL;DR : Avoid at all cost. They made a repair and 6 months later I'm coming back for them to repair the exact same thing. They mark up their parts. Then I bring it back for an o2 sensor and suddenly out of nowhere the same part I had them fix before is now broken. They'll happily do a shoddy job so you can come back in 6 months and pay them to do it again! Then I get it back again and they've neglected to do the simple thing of close the oil cap and now I have oil sloshed all over my engine and smoke billowing out. Twice I left my car with them and picked it up with MORE PROBLEMS THAN I STARTED WITH. And when you call and make a reasonable request for a refund you'll get told to not talk to the owner "like he's fucking stupid." Because he's been doing this since he was 8. Take your business somewhere else. These are the mechanics people warn you about. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I trusted this business because I would rather support a local mom and pop establishment, than a huge dealership that would more than likely just try to steal my money. I should've just taken it to the dealership. Not only did they run over the only FOB I have for my car, it took them 4 days to get it replaced and they wouldn't reimburse me for the rental I had to get. Once I called to pick up the car (four whole days later), they decided I had a bad wheel barring that needed replacing. At this point I just needed my car back to get me to and from work. They charged me $550, and gave me a free oil voucher for my troubles (what a joke). They also did something to my remote start to where it not only quit working - it attempts to start the vehicle, but only turns on the computer in the car, and makes the starter continuously try to turn over, yet cannot, and I have to let it try until the car battery dies. Thank goodness for AAA and good friends. DO NOT USE THIS BODY SHOP!!! read more
