The police called a local towing company who took the car back to their lot. When they didn't bring it to our area (a little over an hour away) the next day as we had scheduled, we looked for a body shop in that area on Yelp and Facebook and found one that looked promising. This is where Heartland comes in! I left a message on their machine since they were closed for the weekend. My first positive surprise was when the owner called me later that day. We decided to have them do the work and told him we'd contact the towing company to get the car over there. Unfortunately it took several days before it got there (which is why I won't be posting a positive review for the tow co.). Once it arrived they reviewed the estimate from our insurance company and started ordering parts. The car was completed sooner than we anticipated based on the length of time insurance estimated, plus thanksgiving week. My husband went to pick it up earlier this week and is thrilled with how it looks. There had been slivers of glass in the interior from the broken windshield, but the guys vacuumed and cleaned out everything...including, apparently, our change cup. They did say we may still find some here and there over time. Bottom line- my husband would recommend them based on the fantastic job they did putting our car back together ($9000+ damage). And I was thrilled with how friendly they were working over the phone. I called several times to see if the car had ever gotten there from the tow lot, and received updates from them once they had it. I've still never met them but wholeheartedly recommend them!

Service was exceptional! Thank you!!…read more My daughter's car (a Ford Escape) needed a new alternator. Per usual, the issue arose 2 days before she had to return to Ann Arbor. My Ford dealer was too busy to work us into their schedule so we took it to Princeton Chevrolet. They understood the timing issue and worked us right in for the repair. So everything is right on track! Then I receive a call and was informed that while changing the alternator the AC compressor was damaged (with the Escape you have to remove the compressor to get to the alternator). With the timing of my daughter's return to Ann Arbor it was not possible to get the replacement part before she had to leave town (this was in January so she didn't require AC at that point anyway) . Scott, the Service Advisor at Princeton Chevrolet, informed me that he had discussed the issue with their Service Manager (Andrew) and that they knew the compressor had been damaged and that they would take care of it. Two months later my daughter is back in town and I call Scott at Princeton Chevrolet. In all honestly, prior to making the call I was curious how this conversation was going to go. In any event, right out of the box Scott tells me - not a problem, I remember this well. Bring the car in and we'll take care of it. I just got back home with the Escape, it has a fully functional air conditioner and the full cost of the repair was covered by Princeton Chevrolet! I very much appreciated the honesty and straight forward conversations with Scott. Not convinced I'd have received the same level of service at other establishments. WARNING TO FUTURE CUSTOMERS:…read more My husband and I recently tried to purchase a vehicle through Princeton Auto Group, and our experience was extremely disappointing. The two representatives handling our application, Samantha and Joshua, repeatedly told us they were "working hard" to help us obtain financing. However, throughout the process we were treated in a way that made us feel like we were unworthy customers rather than people trying to purchase a vehicle in good faith. We were asked to gather multiple documents quickly and submit them for verification. We did exactly that and cooperated fully with every request. Despite this, the communication we received was dismissive and disrespectful. During conversations we often felt talked over, not listened to, and made to feel as though we were somehow less important than other customers. They even went so far as to say that we falsified documents. Buying a vehicle is already stressful, especially for people working hard to rebuild or improve their financial situation. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity and basic respect during that process. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Samantha and Joshua at Princeton Auto Group. Because of how we were treated, we chose to withdraw our application and take our business elsewhere. It is a shame that they would do this to customers. My only thought is they do not want repeat business. Took in a Chrysler product that had a 3.2 litre V6 and they charged us for 8 quarts of engine oil for the oil change. When I questioned them about it they swore that this is what they put in. He said they drain it extra long. Made a statement that it is the darndest thing every now and then they run into 6 cylinder motors that take extra oil. Though Owners manual and my neighbor who is a Mechanic at a Chrysler dealership says 6 qts.

Six months later I've never had a problem with the tire. Situations like this makes me wonder what's going on at FT&C.... Did they just not want to mess with my small project? Were they trying to upsell me? Very disappointing...
