That is where Ricky's Auto Body makes a difference and why I think a positive review is imperative to spread the good words about this business. (1) Honesty. The first thing the owner Andy said was "let me show you where you can order the taillights on your own online for affordable prices and I will not mark up the parts". Andy even patiently helped me to compare price online. (2) Professionalism and Transparency. Andy and his employee are open to discuss the progress of repair and show me in real time how the work is done. (3) Superior quality of work. Picture is worth a thousand words. Please see attached "before" and "after". (4) Humanity and Compassion. After knowing the details of my accident especially regarding the other party (at fault) who did not carry insurance, Andy expressed sympathy and worked out an affordable plan. In light of the quality of the work, I would have been paying much more at some other body shops. (5) True customer care. Andy noticed there was a sound when driving the car. For my safety of driving, he got on the ground and probed under the car to locate the issue and referred me to another shop who specializes in that type of issues. I specifically expressed concerns about its safety and relied on their inspections, repairs, and reassurances that the vehicle was safe to drive. Ace performed a multipoint inspection on July 24 and did not document a coolant leak. My car was subsequently back at Ace for additional repairs and diagnostics, and I returned it again on August 20 because I was concerned about noises and a brake warning. It was returned to me around August 28. No coolant leak was documented to me during these visits. Only a few weeks later, on September 27, my MINI suddenly overheated and began stalling. I got safely off the road and had it towed to Ace. Their own diagnostic report states the vehicle arrived "BONE DRY ON COOLANT" and that their pressure test found the oil filter housing/oil cooler leaking coolant. They then told me the head gasket had failed and the vehicle needed an engine. When I asked the owner what Ace could do to help, I was told they were not responsible, accused of continuing to drive the vehicle while it was overheating, and told to remove it from their property. I dispute that account and have timestamped documentation from the incident. After posting my one-star review, Niki texted me personally. She again blamed me for the engine damage, stated that I "had no coolant leaks before this," told me my review affected her monthly bonus, and told me I was "fired as a customer." I understand that cars can develop new problems. What I cannot get past is that my vehicle spent a significant amount of time at this shop, I spent thousands trying to make it dependable, and within weeks of getting it back I was left with a vehicle that Ace itself documented as bone dry on coolant with an identified coolant leak and catastrophic engine damage. I have preserved the vehicle, repair records, diagnostic reports, photos, videos, and timestamped communications, and the matter is being reviewed through my insurance claim. I genuinely wanted Ace to help me make my car safe and reliable. Instead, I am left without a functioning vehicle and deeply disappointed by how I was treated when I asked for help. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ace Auto Doctor.

I could tell by the meticulous condition of his shop and his obvious care for detail that he was dedicated to his work and customers. I think it was a Corvette in the shop that was ready for paint and had been primed and wetsanded to a perfect smoothness, ready for a base-coat. I had done paint, bodywork and restoration back in the early 90's but I was a hack compared to what Rick was doing (I was just making my $2000 cars look right for resale while people are bringing show-cars to Rick). End of story - I bought the Sea Ray during covid and the title had been misplaced. Rick provided a bill of sale and latest stickers for the boat. I gave him 42 $100 bills and he promised to mail the title when it arrived - there were no in person visits at the DNR because of covid, and they apparently never opened for in person visits again because it worked... He mailed it as expected but, in my complete lack of organization, I proceeded to lose the Priority Mail envelope very soon after it arrived. After hours of searching to no avail, I contacted Rick, who believing he's have to go in person and provide whatever doc's and hours of dealing with the state agreed to do whatever it took, even taking time out of his work day. Ended up being a bit easier than expected and the duplicate title is being processed. I've got hundreds of hours on the Sea Ray. Had a spot at the Burlington Marina for 2 years but don't get a lot of use out of the boat these days although it's still running strong - (All I've ever done is plugs, lower end gear lube and water pump). Good old boat with low engine hours has been incredibly good to me - $10k worth of good at least but probably time to let it go (which is difficult with the promise of a title later). I can tell you this: When I was thinking of touching up or refinishing the gel-coat on my boat, Rick was the only shop that came to mind (look at the pics from happy marine work customers). And if I was gonna have body work or paint, I would take it to Rick, disregarding the 75 mile distance! As far as the one lone 1-star review, we all have a disgruntled customer who didn't get what they want. THis guy apparently got screwed by his insurance company and expected Rick to take up the slack between what the ins would pay and the cost of having the job done right. Insurance companies have employees who's sole responsibility is to pay out the absolute lowest they can without breaking the law (they will BEND every time). So "Truth E." is probably full of shit! AND if you look, has no YELP credibility, indicating they created an account to slander a hard working & honest dude who probably tried to help this jerk-off!

The people at North Brady Imports Plus have always been able to solve our automotive mysteries and repair minor and major issues with a higher degree of expertise and at a significantly lower cost than most dealerships' service departments! The staff at their new sister location in Moline, Illinois are just as capable, well-trained, and efficient in diagnosing automobile issues as their counterparts in their other location in Davenport! I had unknown issues with my Lexus' air-conditioning system and wisely brought my vehicle to the Moline location. In a matter of a few hours, they were able to trace the problem to a faulty switch, probably saving me 100s if not 1000s of dollars in unnecessary charges! My son picked the vehicle up and called me stating it was running weird. I told him to bring it home and we would look at it. It did not make it home and it died out on him with all lights on dash coming on. I called NBI and they said bring it back and they would look at it, so I had it towed in. They had it for a week or so and claimed there were no issues and it could be picked up. My son again picked up the vehicle which ran right until about home and all lights came on and it ran horribly. I called again and had it towed in again. After a week or so they called me up and stated the engine was blown. After talking with the management, they claimed they were not responsible at all for anything. I explained I dropped it off to them with 0 issues other than a clutch which they installed and they told me on return visits that there was nothing wrong with this car and could be driven. STAY AWAY as they do not stand by their work or take responsibility. I even offered to split the cost of a replacement with them as I understand this engine had 100k on it which they still declined.
