We used Billotti's Catering for a company event and booked the event directly with Nick Billotti. The caterer arrived 15 minutes before the event was scheduled to start and was setting up as people were lining up. It gradually got worse from there. We ordered food for 500 people which included desserts and pre-paid for the entire order up front. We ran out of food and had to run to a Chinese fast-food place to get food for employees as they were waiting in line. He said he ordered enough food for 450 (not the 500 we told him to order) so he admitted that he ordered less food. We never received the desserts that were ordered which he also acknowledged were not delivered. In addition, we were charged for 4 servers and only 3 arrived. The chef working the event said he would never work with Nick again due to a pattern of Nick not providing enough food for his events. We requested a refund for the missing food for 50 people, the missing desserts for 500 people and 1 server. We never received a refund and Nick never apologized for his errors and poor customer service. Do not trust Billotti's Catering! read more

So professional, so so different, the smell (omg, to die for), and beyond delicious!!!! The chefs came on time, set up a beautiful setup, organized, and were graceful, and treated everyone so nicely! The chefs passed around hors d'oeuvres (which i wish i would have had them do a little longer) totally my fault since I set the timeline, but, what I LOVED is that our chefs purposely came looking for me and my husband to make sure we got some! They were delicious, THANK YOU! We had a few guests cancel at the last minute, but the ones who did come were not shy about getting seconds! We planned a huge 100th birthday party for my grandfather and Nick was so helpful with figuring out the menu we would have, explaining the whole process, keeping in touch for weeks before the event and planning it all down to a 'T'. He and his staff were very professional, arrived nice and early in order to have everything ready on time and were nothing but smiles and good attitudes. And the short ribs were AMAZING! I reached out to Nick in April 2024 to caterer my daughters HS graduation party. Nick sent me the contract and requested a deposit which was sent via Zelle to a lady out in Tennessee. My daughters event was scheduled for June 17th and on June 9th I received a text from Nick at 5:00 am in the morning letting me know he was forced to cancel his services for our event. He had an urgent family matter and would not be available for the date of the event and said he would issue a refund. When I asked if he could zelle the money back to me, since that was my original form of payment, he said a check would be mailed instead. The last text I received from Nick was on June 19th stating that my check would be mailed in another 1-2 weeks and that was only because I reached out to him first. TO THIS DAY WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED REIMBURSEMENT.That money was a gift from the grandparents to my daughter for her graduation so she could have this pasta bar. I understand things happen that are out of our control and are unavoidable but he has no right in keeping money that does not belong to him. read more

After all, we have to make a living and it's tough out there. i do not take lightly my responsibility to comment fairly and accurately on service providers like Nick Belotti. We had aproximately 125 people in our home last night and hired Nick to cater our party. We will not use him again. The food was good enough; however, and more importantly, the service was poor. His team left early without cleaning properly the kitchen and party area; furthermore, they took all food we paid for, leaving nothing for those still at the party. I know this because as the party host, I did not have a chance to eat during the party. When I came in the kitchen at the end to ask for some food, Nick and his team had already left, taking all the food with them. This was annoying. We we're hungry, guests still remainEd, and we paid for that food. Worse, when I subsequently contacted Nick to ask him about this, he first denied there was additional food; he then said that "he could not legally leave the food behind for health law reasons." Unfortunately, one of our guests who was helping in the kitchen overheard Nick tell his team, "he was going to use the leftover food for the next event." We do not believe Nick was honest and fair with us; furthermore, he was in no way conciliatory when asked fair questions. he instead provided inconsistent answers and expressed no concern or regret for the situation. For these and other reasons, we will not use Nick again, nor will we recommend him to others. read more

Nick and his team provided catering for my Mom's Celebration of Life gathering and it was top-notch, all the way around. The steak sliders were a big hit with everyone in attendance. Omg!!! CRAZY GOOD We attended a beautiful birthday party in Arcadia this weekend. There was a pasta bar and I was not expecting much because most are just mediocre. So I was stunned when I bit into the most delicious pasta combination I've probably ever had. My friend who threw the party said she got lucky and randomly picked someone off the Internet. This review is a full 3 months overdue! Billotti's Catering catered my wedding in mid-January and I received nothing but amazing compliments about the food. From my first chat with Nick, the owner, I knew that he was the right man for the job. He answered all of my questions, didn't put on "the pressure" like other caterers and had a real "can do" attitude. He worked with me to create a custom menu of a fun pasta bar, slider station, salad station and bruschetta bar that fit perfectly with our casual outdoor estate wedding. He came the day before the event to set up tables, chairs, linens etc and the day of the wedding he took care of every little detail. Let me tell you just how DELICIOUS the pasta bar is!!! Being that it was my own wedding I barely got to eat because I was so busy mingling and taking photos BUT the plate I had was to die for! He mixed penne pasta with mushrooms, sausage, chicken, marinara, cream sauce and caramelized onions...YUM!!! The salads were fresh and awesome and the bruschetta was so flavorful. I don't even usually like bruschetta but this one was soooo good! I highly recommend using Nick at Billotti's Catering for any wedding or event. If I ever have another reason to celebrate and need a caterer, I would use him again without thinking twice. He was reasonably priced, creative, personable and an absolute joy to work with. First review and it is to sing the praises of Nicholas Billotti. Yelp is where I found Nick, so I should pay it forward. If you're looking for reasonably priced caterer who will work with you, create a beautiful setup, AND provide delicious food for your wedding reception, you really don't need to look any further. What I appreciated most about Billotti's was the quick response; there was no beating around the bush. Other caterers would send me vague replies because they needed to customize the menu and figure out the rental costs. Nick was on top of it - efficient, detailed, and SO FAST. I sent an interested inquiry to Nick, he gave me a few options and customizations, then immediately gave me all of the estimated costs up front including the food, rentals for tables, chairs, linens, flatware, etc... Of course, we made changes to the invoice as the wedding date drew closer, but having a figure to work with immediately was so helpful when we were looking at our budget. That way we were able to know if we could add other fun but extra things to our wedding. Billotti's also goes above and beyond. I told Nick that keeping to our budget was a big concern for me and in every way we asked him to help us save, Nick was helpful and accommodating. Billotti's served the cake (we provided the cake & plasticware), arranged for security guards, hired bartenders to serve drinks (we also bought the alcohol, cups, and ice for our open bar), and also set up the chairs for the ceremony space. The event venue had no kitchen, only a sparse prep area with a sink, but it was no problem. All the food was served warm and fresh. Once I went to the tasting, I was sold and booked him right away. The tri-tip and the chicken saltimbocca at the wedding was tender and well seasoned. We chose bruschetta and melon/prosciutto/goat cheese skewers for appetizers. Loved the orzo pasta with fresh pesto! Everything was delicious! I was really sad that I couldn't eat more on the day of the wedding. I only plan to get married once (I guess most people do), but if I needed to plan a wedding again or recommend a caterer for another bride or any other event, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nick. read more

Choose these guys! Billotti catering is fantastic! I used them for my Christmas Boat Parade party in Newport Beach this year and they absolutely knocked my socks off! They were prompt, professional, so friendly and creative, and oh my goodness was that bruschetta amazing! I had several guests ask where in the world I found them - they were that great! Billotti's catered my wedding this past weekend and we were so happy we made that choice! Planning: Nick was SO helpful with planning! Most of my communication with him was done through email (which I prefer) and he always responded in a very timely manner. He drove out to our home to go over a contract with us, and also drove to our reception location before the wedding to make sure he would bring the right size tables, etc. for his set-up. Set-Up: They arrived at 12pm (4.5 hours before the event) to set everything up. Set-up was included in the price of the contract. Appetizers: Our guests RAVED about the appetizers... The favorite was the brushetta. EVERYONE was talking about how delicious it was! Food: We did the pasta bar which was also a big hit... Everyone loved the idea of creating their own plate of pasta. The carmelized onions are to-die-for. So delicious! Cake: We also asked them to flip the appetizer table once cocktail hour was over (we were short for space) and turn it into the cake table... The way they displayed my cake was amazing. Nicer then I could of imagined! They cut slices for our guests which was very helpful. Nick and Tiffany did an amazing job... We loved the bruschetta, the sliders, and the filet mignon wraps. My family is a picky bunch, but this was the best Italian catering we've ever had. My husband and I could not be happier with our decision to use Billotti's to cater our wedding. Nick was by far the hardest working vendor at our wedding and went above and beyond his job description in making sure we had everything we needed. I'll start at the beginning: Our first interactions with Nick set the stage for a great relationship. He responded quickly to emails, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and was professional without being stuffy. He offered to come to our apartment in South Orange County for our tasting and whipped up and amazing meal for us in the comfort of our own kitchen. We were so impressed with the quality and taste of the food (seriously, everything was delicious), but also with Nick's ability to really connect with us on a personal level. Nick also took the time to discuss our budget and rental needs, making recommendations to help us stay within our limited budget. He was very understanding of our DIY approach and made creative suggestions to help us cut unnecessary costs (using the pasta bar option vs. buffet to save on cost per person, making our own table runners rather than renting, etc.). Nick took care of almost all of our rentals and staff needs (tables, chairs, linens, bar, bartenders, etc.) and was very patient and accommodating to our requests as our ceremony and reception plans evolved. He even came to the site the week before and helped us plan the setup and transition from ceremony to reception, which were all taking place in the same backyard. He came armed with his iPad and had great ideas to keep everything streamlined and organized. On the big day, Nick and his team were efficient, organized work-horses. The pasta bar setup and drink stations looked beautiful and his staff was on the ball. We got TONS of compliments on the food and, while it really was so delicious, Nick's behind-the-scenes work was what made Billotti's such a standout vendor. This review is LONG OVERDUE but no less important now than two years back. That's right, it's been two years since we began the catering process with Nick and I am ashamed that it's taken me this long to post a review. The delay has absolutely no bearing on my experience with Nick or his staff (they were absolutely incredible throughout the entire process, from start to finish) but due to unforeseen circumstances and a health crisis, everything has had to take the back burner. We got married in May 2015 at an Automobile Museum and I must say, I am still getting positive feedback from my guests about the food and service Billotti's Catering provided. I could not have been more pleased with the food and impeccable, friendly service Nick and his team provided. From the onset, Nick's professionalism, timely responses to emails/calls/texts, patient and courteous manner, my husband and I knew the impression we got would yield a great experience for our wedding. We met Nick for a taste test and left the place not only feeling really good about him but the food. THE FOOD!... it was outstanding and we just knew it would be a big hit with our guests! Our wedding day did not disappoint! Nick and his staff were punctual, well prepared and extremely organized. Their buffet set-up was classy yet inviting; the linen and tableware spot-on in the way that we had described how we wanted it to look/feel; the service was friendly; and they even assisted with the menu preparation/placement on the tables for our guests, as well. I met Nick Billotti about 6 weeks back when previewing a new venue (HOWL in Long Beach) along with the event coordinator, florist, etc. hired by our bride and groom. Nick is very personable and professional and I was looking forward to working alongside his company for an upcoming October wedding. I work in the wedding industry and am out at different venues each weekend and have had the privilege of enjoying many catered meals. The celebration happened last night and the entire evening was a success! I often recommend to my potential clients that they seek out a great photographer and that entertainment should be a high priority on their list. It amazes me how much attention is directed toward food. The meals at weddings are too often typical (usually chicken and vegetables). I don't always eat at my events: 1. because I am focused on providing my services to ensure all the guests are enjoying themselves. 2. because wedding meals have sadly become bland to me. Last night, Nick was handling another event in Orange County. I met Phil, and the rest of his team as we arrived early for setup. From arrival to tear down the Billotti's staff were amazing to work with. Each and every one of the staff members showed the same traits I had seen in Nick of being professional and personable. My DJ booth was just feet away from their two pasta stations. The smell of garlic shrimp was in the air throughout the cocktail hour... I remained focused on music and missed the opportunity of hors d'oeuvres. However, at dinner after all of the guests had made their way through the pasta bars, myself and the two event coordinators were able to choose what items we wanted in our dish. The meal was INCREDIBLE! I am a fan of Italian food, and I must say Billotti's has the BEST pasta dish I have ever tasted! If you want to treat your guests to something different for your wedding... Their self contained pasta bar was perfect for the venue, which did not have great access to outlets or have an on site kitchen. Nick was personable and flexible, rolling with the punches when we were a little behind schedule. My guests raved about the choose your own pasta options, which included vegan and gluten free pasta and sauces. The vegetables, meats and cheeses were all clearly fresh and everything tasted great. We chose Billotti's to cater our wedding, and we were so glad that we did. We chose the pasta bar, and it was amazing. Our guests got to choose anything that they wanted in their pasta, so it was so much more fun than the typical "rubber chicken" dinner that you get at so many weddings or banquets. The way they did buffet was very elegant and classy. We were worried that it would be slow given that it was made to order, but that was not a problem at all. Not only did everyone love the food, but the staff were also incredibly fun, friendly, attentive and professional. Many people told us that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Planning a wedding during a pandemic isn't optimal but Nick was the easiest part of the planning. We had passed appetizers that were so good that my guests are still raving about them, followed by a pasta dinner that was nothing short of outstanding. I am so grateful to Yelp, becase I don't think I would have been able to find Billotti's without it. I was hosting a party for about 50 people and had to find a top notch caterer. Most of the guests were foodies, so I knew I had to find a catering company that would knock the socks off the discerning group. Excellent food and first-class service and presentation were must-haves. I read all the positive and shining reviews of Billotti's on Yelp; however Yelp had steered me wrong in the past, so I reached out to another 7 catering companies, as well. Billotti's very easily made it to the down-selection list and within the third email exchange, I knew I had found "the one." Not only were they spot on with the menu suggestions, they were eager to make accommodations and maximize menu options. Billotti's never made budget an issue. They offer, BY FAR, the most competitive pricing and value for any budget. This made it easier for me to dismiss the lofty (and extremely foolish) notion I had of cooking for the party myself and also steer clear of catering restaurants that offer pans/trays of food. Billotti's is a full-service catering company, and their service includes set-up, tear-down and clean-up. During the planning process, make sure to tell them what it is you need, because they offer a wide range of services. Billotti's took care of all our rentals, which made preparation the day of the party effortless. We also hired additional staff assistance, because I wanted to be sure I could enjoy the party with our guests. This was another great decision and well worth it. You will not find another company with professional and courteous staff assistance at a lower rate. Their staff members are great, and for both of my events, I found that our guests really enjoyed speaking to them at length, as they made their rounds to ensure drinks were filled, plates were cleared, etc. They are eager to assist with anything and often times we found ourselves not having to ask, because they were so pro-active. For the party, we went with Billotti's pasta bar. Best decision ever! (Side note: hiring Billotti's for your event quickly makes you feel like the smartest person ever, too.) This was such a fun focal point for our guests, and it was a big hit. Each guest was able to customize their own pasta dish to their liking. Imagine having a real chef prepare a special, custom pasta dish for every single guest. Each combination I tried was absolutely delicious, and each guest was extremely pleased with their own pasta. The pasta bar presentation was lovely, and the appetizer table they set up was also beautiful. I seriously can't wait to have another pasta bar party. From beginning to end, Billotti's made it so easy. The second gathering they catered for me this summer was for a much larger group - about 100. Again, Billotti's took care of all our needs, and we received many compliments on the food. Billotti's did a wonderful spread of finger foods, coffee service and desserts. The finger foods were perfect and served more like a full-on meal. Everyone kept commenting on how delicious and fresh everything was, and several guests even tried to place orders for Billotti's amazing tarts right on the spot! I also noticed people sneaking extra Italian cookies (which were so good) and sandwiches to take with them. I'm so happy to have finally found my go-to caterer for all my needs. I can't say enough positive things about Billottis catering. They catered a friends event and I hate to admit this... but I may have eaten the majority of brushetta they served! This company is aimed towards excellence, service and atmosphere, and my goodness they succeed in every aspect! We just had a wedding on 10/17/15 that was catered by Billotti's catering. Full success!! We got so many compliments how good the food was. First of all, big thanks to Nicholas for working with us on a price and being available for us at anytime. When we meet with Nick in person for our first meeting we felt so comfortable and didn't want to go anywhere else. First of all, because he was understandable that we wanted to work on a price and save money anywhere we could. We didn't feel uncomfortable to tell him that we want to spend less than certain amount, and Nick even gave us suggestions where we can save (nobody else mentioned it, and we went to at least 5 meetings with different caterers)! So only because of Nick's catering we were able to afford plated dinner for our wedding for a good price, and it looked so expensive!!!! For appetizers we got - Sausage Sliders (yum!!!), Jumbo Chilled Shrimp in pesto sauce (yum!!!!), Bruschetta (yum!!!), and Egg Rolls (yum!!!!). All appetizers were so fresh! I think sausages were home made! Then for dinner we had - Prime Tri Tip smothered in our house rub seasoning, fresh herbs and slow roasted to a perfect medium then sliced to order and served with horseradish; Chicken Saltimbocca with sauteed spinach, capers, Romano cheese, pan seared then simmered in a white wine and lemon sauce; Balsamic Glazed Salmon with roasted garlic and our homemade, freshly chopped basil and caramelized onions; Butternut Squash Raviolis with a brown butter sage sauce. OMG it was so yum! Also, Nicholas helped us to work with catering company and even helped us to save money there too on items we didn't need. During the wedding his stuff was so helpful, and (I have to say that) GOOD LOOKING :) Couple friends came to me and said - "This is the most handsome chef we have ever seen haha!!!" :) I would recommend Billotti's Catering to everybody, even my "skeptic" fiance (now husband) was sooooo happy!
