Do not hire this company especially if you are booking Hummingbird Nest Ranch as a venue for your wedding or engagement. Take your business elsewhere as there are so many great catering companies. My brother booked his catering with Anoush as it was advised through the venue. He had informed the catering team that a few of his guests have dietary restrictions and was ensured Anoush accommodates to a vegan diet. When I arrived, I asked the waitress what on the table was vegan she of course didn't know what vegan was. After I explained to her she said she had no idea. I then told her that arrangements were to be made for the vegan guests, she told me no such thing was planned and she comes back with arugula salad with cheese on it. I had even asked the other vegan guests If they were taken care of and of course they weren't. I had to find the wedding planner to ensure everyone was on the same page, she was shocked and disappointed that the food arrangements were not made as planned. Finally, I find the caterer in charge and inform him that my only food for my brothers wedding is not going to be hummus. This company is mess, you are paid to do your job, do it right! The most poorly managed catering company I have ever seen. Such an embarrassment. The staff was not friendly or trustworthy whatsoever. Do not hire this company for your next wedding, save yourself. With a month or so left til our wedding, we realized that our caterer we had previously picked wasn't cutting it. We decided to change course and go with Anoush. This review is for the catering. We ordered catering for our Christmas Eve party and it didn't disappoint. Working with Haik was a breeze, he was very helpful when it came to deciding the menu. The food was on time when we went to pick it up. The family style catering was a great choice. We had plenty of food to go around per person and the presentation was just beautiful. I am trying to think of how to summarize how happy I am with Anoush. I was 3 months away from a 120 huge event and I didn't have a caterer. My incredible party planner highly recommended this team and the rest as they say is history. During my event I walked around the room to talk to my guests and they were raving about the food! Mind you, we hired them for off site catering where everything had to be brought in and rented, even an oven! Zero Stars! The caterers stole over $240 at my brothers wedding last week. The money was to be collected from the dance floor and gifted to the bride and groom! Everyone knew it wasn't tip money for the waiters to distribute amongst one another. They kept a big stash for themselves anyway!! Working with Anoush was fantastic- we worked with Linet to coordinate catering for our wedding at the Alexandria Ballrooms. Linet was fantastic- she was responsive, accomodating, and even assisted with helping make sure our rentals were correct for the number of guests and food we were having. On top of this- the price was amazing compared to how much we would have spent on plated meals from most other companies. We did a family style dinner and it was absolutely delicious. I am not overstating by saying that about half our wedding guests came up and raved about how good the food was at our wedding! To say our guests were blown away by the sheer amount of food as well as the quality is an understatement. If I could give zero, I would. My husband and I paid over $5000 to Anoush as they were going to cater our wedding but unfortunately, we got notified my husband was getting deployed into combat. They said they did not do any refunds at all, even though we were more than 6 months out from the wedding. Sevada was just really mean and just doesn't have the best customer service. It was HORRIBLE. Such a horrible and horrific experience dealing with them and the treatment we got, especially my husband who risks his life everyday for our country. Hire this caterer if you want your guests to be treated unkindly, servers who don't know what they are serving, bartenders covered from head to foot in tattoos, servers smoking near your sweetheart table, incredibly slow service of food (if it comes out at all), stale desserts, the rudest coffee/tea station attendant you can imagine, and--oh yeah, a HUGE price tag! My venue took place at Middle Ranch, which required that we use Anoush Catering. We were encouraged after the tasting because the food (vegan polenta, vegetarian pasta, chicken, salmon) was very good. They were flexible about providing alternative meals for guests who had dietary restrictions. They were responsive to emails. That is where the good news ends and the bad news, which is unbelievably mortifying, begins. On the actual day of the wedding, everything Anoush Catering could have done poorly, was done extra sloppy with an extra topping of bad attitude. More than a month out from the wedding, I am STILL getting stories from guests about how rude and abrupt Anoush Catering servers and attendants were. They refused to answer guest's questions and the answers they did give about the food was incorrect (they told guests that the polenta was rice?). We paid extra money to have wine and certain beverages available on the tables -- these NEVER appeared. My husband and I barely got to eat anything because the food was so slow to be served. Many of the tables were never served certain dishes (each table got the same entrees because it was family style). We gave Anoush Catering cake to serve, which is a service they offer, and the cake was never served. They had no idea where it was and we had to find it and serve it ourselves. Most of the cake didn't even get eaten because of this and many guests never even got ay. Anoush Catering was TERRIBLE about clearing tables and dirty dishes - my guests were clearing their own tables! My own mother in law was busing tables because they were so deplorably disgusting. Dish carts were EVERYWHERE with dirty dishes spilling over. I even heard from a few guests that Anoush Catering employees were offering them weed, unsolicited. Who does that at someone else's wedding? At work, no less? Despite the fact that the service was slow and all the MANY mistakes that were made, I think it wouldn't have been so bad if my guests were at least treated courteously. The fact that all of my guests will remember being treated awfully by these random Anoush Catering employees and will associate this memory forever with my wedding is something that can never be rectified. What am I supposed to do, have another wedding? I'm sure that my friends and family will be posting similarly horrendous reviews of this caterer soon. It was beautifully decorated and I believe I went to this place a while back and it has since been remodeled. Everything looked elegant and modern. The staff was friendly and professional and very efficient. They go above and beyond what they need to do to make guests feel welcomed and to make sure everyone has what they need (even before you think you need it). The food was fresh and delicious and there was so much of it! Just when we thought the food service was over they brought out more, that was different from the plates which we had previously, and it was a wide variety of dishes. They performed no service and gave me the run around for months. They passed me off from person to person until the the owner just flat out told me he refused. They even refused to answer my bank when I filed a dispute. They are not trust worthy and will take advantage of you. I highly advise you do not work with them. Due to unanticipated and extenuating circumstances of COVID-19 that the contract did not discuss directly, we are being denied a refund of our $9,300 for a canceled wedding. They stated that they will keep our money for five years and we have to use it for a birthday or anniversary as it's "not their fault that the governor closed venues." They proceeded to say that there's "nothing I can do about it because they have lawyers." ANOUSH BANQUET HALLS & CATERING is profiting from a pandemic. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and health concerns, ANOUSH BANQUET HALLS & CATERING cannot perform the couple's September 13th wedding and breach the contract due to a wedding that will never occur.   ANOUSH BANQUET HALLS & CATERING is taking advantage of couples and families and profiting from this public health emergency at the expense of a young couple.   Force Majeure Provisions state that a wedding contract is rescinded if it is impossible to execute, and unenforceable by contracts because it is against public policy.   The U.S. has declared a national emergency, and California has issued executive orders implementing "shelter in place" of all residents, ordering the closure of all nonessential businesses, and prohibiting gatherings of certain amounts of people, creating a public policy that weddings cannot go forward during the crisis.   ANOUSH BANQUET HALLS & CATERING initial agreement fails as it violates the law and is contrary to public policy.   According to Kashani v. Tsann Kuen China Enter. Co., 118 Cal. App. 4th 531, 559, 13 Cal. Rptr. 3d 174 (2004), contracts, though properly entered into in all other respects, will not be enforced if found to be contrary to public policy. Given the public prohibition in California regarding gatherings of people, any persons attending, hosting, or working a wedding would be acting contrary to public policy that would threaten public health.   ANOUSH BANQUET HALLS & CATERING failed to offer the services for the wedding due to cancellation from COVID-19. Thus, we are not obligated to pay for services not rendered and must be refunded the complete payment for the services never performed by ANOUSH BANQUET HALLS & CATERING. Just attended a wedding held at Anoush Banquet Hall between two friends. Not only was it a lovely place to have the ceremony, but it was large enough to accommodate the numerous guests for the reception, dinner and dancing which followed. I found the food to be delicious and very much appreciated all the efforts of our servers to keep each table supplied with so many items. I can tell the staff work hard to create a welcoming, pleasant atmosphere. I was also impressed with the sound system and light display which made the dancing feel so festive. Planning a wedding has never been something I've looked forward to and in an age where there are so many new vendors to choose from, I'm happy to say we decided to go with a catering company that has not only been in the industry from the beginning, but has continued to grow. Sevada was beyond words helpful and insightful. We were a bit nervous having picked a venue in DTLA, with very difficult accessibility and limited experience with Armenian weddings, but Sevada not only insured us everything would be alright, but provided information about our specific venue that was extremely helpful to us. There must be a reason why they are the only vendor on our venue's preferred list. In an era where every vendor is trying to capitalize off of every last dollar, it's nice to find an establishment that not only worked with our budget, but spent so much time answering questions outside of the scope of their services. After the funeral cermaony of my uncle we've gathered at Anush restaurant on Glenoaks Blvd in Glendale for lunch. It was the Friday which was the worst rainy nd cold day of the week. By the time guests arrived at the banquet hall they were wet and cold and to our surprise the banquet hall was very cold. We asked the service to turn up the heat many time but unfourtunatly they refused to do so. The next hour and half guests were sitting in a cold banquet hall in their wet coats and clothing. As we sat at the table the waiter askes if he can serve ice water or iced coke. They have no sense of the weather and situation. This past weekend my now husband and I celebrated our Wedding at the Legacy Ballroom and it was spectacular! It was everything and more we could have hoped for in a venue. From the very beginning that we met with both Arthur and Konstantine (who no longer works their) to see the venue- both were incredibly down to earth and helpful. As the wedding was approaching we met with our new Event Manager, Yervand. He was beyond remarkable, he is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions at any time of the day as well as Jessica. On June 9, 2018 we celebrated our wedding like mentioned before, we were greeted by the entire staff prior to making our grand entrance into the venue- Yervand, Jessica and Hovannes along with others from the staff all greeted us and helped move the wedding forward with our planned timeline for the day. Both my husband and I are beyond thrilled to have chosen this venue for our wedding. Everyone at LA Banquets is extremely professional and knowledgeable, there's no doubt in my mind that we chose the right venue for our special occasion. We had read OTHER venue reviews and we were worried about rude staff, alcohol disappearing, bad food, etc., but Legacy Ballroom really took care of us and all our guests. I recently had Anoush cater a party held at my house and was incredibly pleased with the service and quality of their food. All of my guests called me the next day asking where I had placed the catering order from. While their food quality is good, their operations, follow through and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We had our wedding catered by them, as a dictated customer, ( Middle Ranch required Anoush to be used) and it was awful. From no responses from management or Seveda, to disorganized wait staff at it event. One bartender for 100 people and an open bar causing over an hour wait and I keep going. Of course there are always issues, but the worst part was, when communicating them to Anoush, they went silent. No response. I guess they got their money and that's all they cared about. So be aware. We had our wedding at Middle Ranch on July 13th. I can't say one single negative thing about them! From the very beginning, communication was always great. Sevan was super friendly, knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with. Our tasting before the wedding was wonderful, we left super full! Sevan helped us make decisions for things that we didn't even think was something we would need to do. All of her help was appreciated SO much! On the day of our wedding, Alex was amazing. He was incredibly friendly and accommodating as well. He made sure we had all our goodies in our bridal suite, as well as our champagne. During the reception the staff was superb! Extremely friendly, attentive and professional. They brought out our food promptly and it just kept coming! The vegan meal options were perfect for our guests and appreciated. The staff was also happy to put together our desserts since we weren't doing a traditional cake.
