My wife and I chose Distinctive Catering for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. The process BEFORE the event was top notch, as Troy worked with us over details and options for food choices and services. We went with a pasta bar for our 100 guests. It was a HUGE hit, as guests raved about the delicious, hot, made-to-order dishes! Troy and his crew were friendly and efficient. It seemed that they'd done this a thousand times, so they required no direction from us. Topped off the evening with the most delicious lemon squares (highly recommended, by the way!). The Parents Association at our school hosted a fundraiser this last weekend and we used Distinctive Catering to feed 90+ guests. Troy and his team absolutely crushed it. They were on time, professional, and had an amazing spread ready for our guests as they arrived. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had sliders, coconut shrimp, and chicken and steak skewers. We also had the plum sauce meatballs which were so tasty. I got compliments on the food throughout the evening and am continuing to hear great things from my guests days later. Troy and his team were an incredible beacon of safety during a very sad and uncomfortable time for my family. My sister in law passed away suddenly and all of us were reeling with grief while trying to pull together something that would honor her in a way she would be proud of. I don't live in so cal but volunteered to find the caterer. I called this team based on Yelp recommendations. I explained our situation to Troy and the first thing he shared with me was that he would make this as easy on us as possible, and make us proud, which he and his team did in spades. He asked me to trust him and while I did because I didn't have a choice, I'm so glad I did because he did make this awful experience easier. The food was delicious and he and his team were so thoughtful, not missing any detail. They came in to the home while we were at the ceremony, set it all up, served it to our guests when we arrived, and cleaned everything up at the conclusion. None of us had to do any work whatsoever. Troy and his team did an INCREDIBLE job with our swim banquet. I have never planned an event of this magnitude and Troy was incredibly helpful, patient, and experienced. He was there every step of the way from planning the menu, coming to the venue to help plan the setup, advising on how much alcohol to order, and much more. If I have to rate Distinctive Catering, I would say 6 stars. They should get an award for being the best caterer out there. Not only that they served good yummy pasta bar but their crew is amazing. Paul, Ray and Especially Troy are the best. You will for sure have a great party if you hire them. The day of the party is always so stressful, but with them around, they make it so easy. They just do their thing, and the set up comes out really really good. They exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed the first time I've used them at my husband's 50th birthday at the club house this past October. The set up of the table was amazing. There's 2 chefs cooking the food for you. There's tons of different fresh ingredients that's nicely served on the table and you get to pick what you want in your pasta and they cook it in front of you. The food comes out superb. Hot and delicious. They also have bartender. Paul was our bartender for both parties. He is awesome too. I just provided the drinks and he sets up the rest. I just love them. Troy is the best one too. He will cater to your needs and budget. He is so wonderful, humble, funny, nice and so helpful. I could have not have a successful 2 parties if not for this great company. Worst experience ever!! I hired Distinctive Catering for a grand re-opening of a medical practice in Valencia. They show up 30 min late, ill prepared, without items they stated in their contract and through email they would bring. All of the food was cold and Troy told me not to warm it or light the chafing fuel. Troy asked me to help him take all of the plastic wrap off of the food, but did not bring scissors to do so. So this task took forever. My guests were arriving as we were still unwrapping food and I was helping him set up. He asked to be paid in either cash or check, so I wrote him a check(check#1). Several months later, I emailed him regarding the check he had not yet cashed. He then emailed me back to inform me, he had lost the check, and would need a new check. I wrote Troy a new check (check #2). After a few weeks I contacted Troy regarding the uncashed 2nd check. He said he had not received the 2nd check and now needed a 3rd check. I wrote Troy a 3rd check in which Troy finally cashed a month later. Needless to say, I will not be hiring Distinctive Catering again. This was the most stressful encounter with any vendor I have ever experienced. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

Amazing! Distinctive Catering catered our sons second birthday party. They were fabulous. The food was great. Our theme was on the farm; the menu included bbq pork and chicken sandwiches, Mac and cheese, corn on the cob, baked beans, Cole slaw, potatoe salad and fruit salad. The best thing about hiring Distinctive Catering was that I actually got to enjoy my own hosted party! Troy and Ray of Distinctive Catering did a Birthday Brunch for my wife at our home on Saturday, January 7th. Weather did not cooperate, rain and cold. Instead of setting up on the back patio, they were in the garage. Everyone stayed dry. No problem getting the omelets with all the goodies to select from and the waffles. The food was outstanding!
