Nana's Kitchen is truly top-notch. We've used them twice to host a group of 70-ish people at our house. - Pre-event communication is excellent, which is rare for taco catering. They have a real office staff. - Everyone from the office staff to the on-site caterers are extremely friendly. - The prevention is fabulous with their setup of ceramics, etc. I've never seen it done better with other taco caterers. - The food quality is excellent. - They clean up so well that you'll never even know they were there. We've used other taco caterers in the past where we've had to deal with big messes after the fact. Price-wise Nana's probably runs higher than most. It's really an example of "you get what you pay for." I'll definitely be booking events with them again in the future. So good. read more

WOW! For the 2nd year in a row, we have hired Nana's Kitchen to cater our end of year banquet at our high school. The food is literally over the top....everyone absolutely LOVES it. Delicious!! This past weekend my wife hired Nana's kitchen to cater the Mexican food at my 70th birthday party. The party was held in our backyard and we had around 50 guests. About three hours prior to the start of our 630 party Carlos and his wife Mercedes started setting up in our backyard. The set up was extremely professional and looked fantastic. They had a couple of tables set up with appetizers along with some authentic Mexican pre-Colombian type figurines to add to the atmosphere. My wife decided to order the following menu. She selected the Tostitos and jalapeño cheese poppers and they were a huge hit with our group. The different hand selected chicken, beef and marinated pork and extra grilled vegetables and refried beans were an added, plus nobody makes better guacamole these folks can. Our guest started eating the appetizers from the display tables and we're also served by Carlos as they entered the party at 6:30. At around 7:15. dinner was ready and our guest formed the line and they serve everyone whatever selection of food they desired. They stayed till about 9 o'clock and gave out a last food call 1/2 hour prior to them closing down as the party continued, they collected everything they brought in, including all the trash and quietly moved everything into their truck that was parked in our driveway. My wife and I could not be happier with their professionalism and just as important the excellent quality of their food. All of our guest were extremely happy with their dinners and they let us know. We would definitely hire them again and if you're thinking about having a party and serving Mexican food, I would definitely recommend Nana's kitchen. read more

I had high expectations with all the social media videos my wife showed me and the explanation and price of the service. it is unfortunate that the taste of the food and cleanliness of the set up was ruined by cold tortillas we asked to have them warmed up but the worry of having a line for a party of 52 people was the main concern I write this to warn all of you out there that freshly made tortillas are not made when the tacos are ordered they are made in the prep time and placed in a tortilla container ready to be used when serving time is ready two hours later. I am giving two stars for cleanliness and food taste. I am very disappointed and would have rather cut the cost in half with a different taquiza. All of this feedback came from my guest and I was saddened that the food was not up to the high anticipated expectation. One of the guest asked if the tortillas can be warmed up and they were told no i was not aware of this till the next day. One last thing be ready to be asked on a tip because it's not included with all the other fees. read more

This place is amazing!! From the hospitable service to the delicious food. We stopped here for a quick breakfast and were blown away but the authenticity and flavors of the food. The staff is so friendly and genuinely seem to love what they do. I had the SOYrizo burrito and it was the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! We just had an gathering in a local park. Nana's made the event. The food was great! I've been to many parties serving Mexican food, Nana's is the best. FRESH, all "homemade" items. The tortillas were like my grandma's, incredible salsas, super pico de gallo. All the meats very flavorful, and very good sized portions. All the condiments to go with the tacos were all super fresh and appealing. And they were self contained. They travel with their own grill so they can go just about anywhere, that was great for where we were. The presentation was wonderful! Decorated with earthenware bowl and pots, flowers and pretty table cloths. Made the great food even more appealing, Service was incredible, professional, kind, very accommodating and efficient And great smiles. Very nice people to work with from office staff to servers. Nana's Kitchen is a decent caterer... but only if you meet their minimum. We were having a small party for 15. They told us they would have to charge the minimum which is for 35 people. It would run about $800 with tip. We agreed. After thinking about it, we called back and told them if we have to pay their minimum, we would like to have the food made for 35 people and we would save it and also give it away as leftovers. They told us that the salsa would not really keep but they would bring all the food and make it. A second call was made to confirm this and this time they told us to buy a ton of gallon ziploc bags because there would be so much extra food and they could not provide containers. We said we would. The night of the party rolled around. Two friendly women arrived and started cooking the food. They set up a nice salsa bar and passed around appetizers. The food was good, not great. The somewhat raw jalapeño poppers are actually the best thing they make. The chicken and beef were kind over-cooked but passable. The chips were great, however and they do a very nice salsa bar. At the end of the night, I came out and asked how many bags they needed for the meat, etc. They said "this is all that's left" and pointed to two shallow pans of chicken and beef and some rice... barely enough to fit a one gallon bag. So instead of everyone leaving with food, my housekeeper took a tiny bit home. At the end of the night, we realized they didn't even leave the chips for us. It was an expensive night. It cost about $53 dollars a person. When I called the next day to ask about the missing food, a man named James said they had not written that down and he would investigate and get back to us the next day. To this day, he has never responded. Nana's is obviously disorganized and only concerned about making money, not about providing a great customer experience at a fair price. read more
